So, Meister cheese is a fairly old-school cheesemaker, making a few 'upstart' (i.e. flavored with things like dill, pesto, bruschetta or salsa, various mushrooms, peppers [from mild to hot]) cheeses and a menu of cheddars (in terms of added flavors or aging - sooooo good!) in traditional ways tweaked to accommodate environmental responsibility and sustainability.
Gooooooood on them. Really. Just as a consumer, I appreciate that they seem to be effectively maximizing their efficiency, environmentally and fiscally.
And as far as the cheese goes, it's all good. Seriously. And I'm a complete bitch about bad cheese, whether in terms of conception or product.

Their curd...oh, their curd....it's like what I enjoyed when I was a kid, both flavor-wise and w/r/t form: not the flavorless, waxy, large, strangely regular and 'just eh!' average version available elsewhere, needing to be dusted with salt and milk before heating, so that it tastes like anything at all, even when you get it still warm.
Meister cheese - worth the extra gym time, to say the least. A worthwhile old-school, new-flavors collaboration.
And they also make cheese platters with tasty sausage slices! Bonus! read more
