They have a serious employee and managerial problem at this store. I needed some help in the garden area and there was no one to be found inside. I stepped outside and that area appears to be closed basically cause I didn't see any products really out there with the exception of one employee sitting there on his phone. I went to use the ladies restroom and the stall I happen to walk into was absolutely disgusting somebody was seriously rude in that bathroom. So I went over to Customer Service to let them know and I stood there for 10 minutes while two employees had interaction and talking and even after they were done talking The employee behind the counter who was actually working did not address me or say, can I help you or anything. The Employee, who is obviously on break on my side of the counter, looked at me like oh my God she isn't addressing you were helping you my thoughts exactly I thought we conveyed that with our eye contact. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but apparently there wasn't one available only a service coordinator. When I spoke to him about Xavier W sitting on his phone instead of working and they're paying for that and I told him about the bathroom he seemed completely not bothered by it and just went on with his regular tasks. Some heads need to spin at the store so they can have better customer service. The prices are actually quite high here and when that goes along with poor Customer Service, I see no reason to really ever come back to the store again. I want to add I ran into Danielle P and the ladies department because I needed some questions answered regarding clothing and dressing, rooms, etc. she was amazing. Super kind and friendly. I haven't been to this Meijer in a bit. So we went for the 7 for $7 special this week. You have to buy all 7 of the product to get the $1 price per item. First off that's fine. Just know that going in. And the store needs to keep track and restock those items. If you want people to shop and those are your specials. We don't want to see bare shelves of the specials, that's why we came in. Produce they are OK. Some ok specials and lots of choices. Prices are mediocre at best. Some sales are good and no sale price are not so good. You have to know prices. I think their deli counter is really high. I don't get any deli. Meat counter has some good specials. Everything else is high. They have decent prices on eggs, milk, bread, and cheese. All the Meijer brands are an ok deal as well. Around the holidays they also have some good sales and their prices are good. Turkey, ham, hamburgers, hot dogs. All holidays through the year. They also have clothes, shoes, pet supplies. Again. Sales decent otherwise prices are just OK. You need to be aware and know how much so you can take advantage of the sales. Overall, it's better than Walmart in my opinion but just a hair better. I love Meijer's selection! I usually go to Giant Eagle for my groceries, but my friends shop at Meijer, so I wanted to see what they were about. It's nice because they don't only carry groceries, they carry home goods as well which is why it's so big. They also have a great selection of produce which I like about Meijer. read more

Literally, stumbled upon this store, located in the same general area as Nothing Bundt Cakes. I was hungry after running my 5k, so figured stop in and check out a new grocery store. Being from out of state, and never hearing of Meijer, literally had no idea what to expect. My first impression was wow, it was such a welcome change, to have someone warmly welcome you to the store and say hello. The store was well staffed, organized, and clean. The store had a combination of a all in one " stop shop, Home Goods, Vitamins, Wine/Spirits, Clothing, Grocery Store. Found a bunch of good bargains in the produce section and throughout the store. Highly recommend to check it out, would visit another location when im in town, or another state that had the store. read more

The Stow store is by far the nicest Meijer in the Akron area. The produce is fresh, the store is clean and they don't leave expired products on the shelves in the meat department (here's looking at you Brimfield Meijer) The only downside is that it's 10-15 minutes off either Rt. 8 or 76, but it's worth driving past the filthy store in Brimfield. read more

They are horrible at keeping items in stock. I have gone at different times and different days. Doesn't matter, shelves are bare. It's very irritating when you go on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and expect things to be stocked because it's the weekend when most people shop and they're still bare. It's been getting bad for over a year now. I've seen Stow is better, so I may make the trek up there or down to the new one in Canton. read more

I go to Meijer because it's literally right around the corner from my home but their inventory management is HORRIBLE. They are ALWAYS out of main products whether it's food, dairy or other things. Every time I decide to give it another try I always end up having to go across the street to giant Eagle to finish my list. And you can't say it's because they had a run on something because no other stores have the same issue. By the way, Giant Eagle is NEVER out of the stuff I need. Other than poor inventory management, the store is fine. Quality products (when in stock) and friendly helpful employees. Figure out how to properly manage a big grocery store and you'll have the whole thing nailed. read more

I like the store itself but I ordered a birthday cake from the bakery and when I went to pick it up the bakery staff ignored me completely. I had to scream hello to get any service. They need someone to deal with walk up customers when they are busy decorating cakes. I Almost left. Above and beyond that the cake I ordered didn't really look the same as it did online and whoever made the cake put the emblem on the cake topper upside down. Also it was not secured to the cake in anyway and while walking out of the store and going over all the bumps in the exit area, the topper slid off the cake. Tried the new Meijer in Stow. It was busy and there were lots of friendly, helpful employees. There were some "exotic" produce items, lemongrass, baby eggplant for example. It's a big shiny store that reminded me of the old Acme Click stores- there are household goods and clothing in the store. All in all, it was fine but I will stick with my regular store, Acme. There wasn't anything at Meijer to pull me away. I bought hamburger, salmon, chicken, asparagus and corn. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go there, but my grocery store options are good without it. read more

My first visit here wasn't disappointing enough to be my last. However, I definitely won't be going out of my way to shop here often. Although the overall layout of the store makes it easier to find items & maneuver through the crowds there prices aren't what I would consider compatible with their competition. The garden center, food items & clothing cost significantly more than Wal-Mart's. Yet everyday items such as hygiene & cleaning products was slightly less. They do not have a juniors section & only carry larger sizes in women's attire. There wasn't one extra small anywhere to be seen. Although the bakery offered a wide variety of delicious looking morsels I bought their croissants...they are chewy & bland. Even jelly or heating them up couldn't save them. And the self check out was the most annoying process...it took 3 women to attempt to add a 4 pkg of bison burger patties to my expenses. It took them over 20 minutes! The young attendant kept f*cking about & walking away to talk to coworkers. When the second girl finally found help, they had to shut down & reboot the register. During this time,not one person apologized or explained what was going on to me. Eventually the process took so long I asked if I could just forget the patties & pay for what I had already rung up...my entire order was deleted. They all seemed really confused as to how to handle the situation. I then suggested I could go to another register & they all looked at me like deer in the headlights. The younger girl still kept walking away & I could tell Marica was annoyed that this chick couldn't pay attention & learn how to correct the problem. After 25 minutes I was finally escorted to the cashier next to me but Marcia (spelling?) had to unbag every item...so much time wasted! Again, not a bad experience but not worth the trip. read more

i called today to ask about a Halo edition Xbox that was returned, i was told (from a friend of mine that works there) that i could call in and ask them to hold it for me till end of day so i could come get after work. Not only did "Vinny" not transfer me the three times i asked him too, but then he said we cant discuss that over the phone when i told him it was already returned and i just wanted it held id be in in a few hours, someone else took the phone and started talking? then when i asked to be transfered to ELECTRONICS she just sat the phone down and i could hear her. She didnt try, so once again i tried for an Xbox at meijers and lost. When Black friday hit i wokeup early had in my cart and of course website crashed, then this. It used to be great to shop here when it first opened. The workers were really friendly and would greet you if you passed by them. Now, not so much, they'll walk away from you if you need assistance or if you're looking for something. Also, do not order curbside unless absolutely necessary. Clean, organized, great sales! I like Meijer and have always been helped with questions.

So I placed an order on 2/24 for pick up. Called and let them know I couldn't make it and would be there tomorrow. The girl said ok. Went the next day to pick up. They left me waiting first - around 25 minutes. Then a girl came up and got my info. She left and 30 minutes later... still nothing. I went inside. The boy came out and after another 10-15 minutes of searching was able to find my order. He said it was lost because i had asked to pick up the day earlier. Yeah- but the girl spoke with me?? Why so long after that. Oh- that is right- she went home. Then some of my items were cancelled and fell under the $35 order min- and charged me the fee. I did a survey at the bottom of my slip. Within 15 minutes the manger responded and said it was all my fault for not picking up on time. Funny she found my order in under 15 minutes but they couldn't??? read more

I was excited to see this store open and now that I have been there, I'm over it. BIG, shiny and pretty...and expensive! It's like a Walmart married a Macy's. Prices that are obviously paying for those shiny floors. I went in to purchase a cake and it looked like it was decorated by a 3 year old. Meat was overpriced and had a poor selection. Tried to sit down in the "café" area. I had trouble finding a seat because all the employees on their breaks were sitting in there! No break room in the back they can sit in?? Lots of variety in all sections. Wide open isles not jammed full on in-isle displays that you have to maneuver around in Acme and Giant eagle. The smart phone app that takes you to the product you're looking for is great and you can check the availability of items before your ever leave home. This store is not worth stopping at, we were there had our groceries chosen there were only two cashiers and multiple people in line, yet 4 people cover self check so we tried self check what a joke literally everything we tried to ring up had to have an override by the 4th item we were done and decided it was not worth finishing our purchase. Maybe they should schedule people for checkouts. I'm driving 5 more minutes than I would to get to Walmart, but once you go to Meijer you will never want to go back to Walmart. The produce section and bakery are huge, and everything looks much nicer than in Walmart. They have a wider selection of produce and -surprise!- It's not wilty and old like Walmart. The store is absolutely spotless, in part because it's new but it seems to be staying extremely clean. The employees are friendly, again, unlike Walmart. The isles are very wide so there are no traffic jams--unlike Walmart. The experience is so much better that I don't care if some of the prices are a little more (still not much). It's alright. The products here are great. The problem I have is the online pickup service. They lied to us and said my order was ready but, it wasn't. The order I had placed was only just getting started, so I cancelled it. The other problem I have is the deli counter service. All the people there just sit for thirty minutes and then they say "What do you want?," I place my order then it takes them thirty more minutes to cut a half-pound! We visited this store today for the first time. We're seniors who no longer want to cook for ourselves, so we stopped in to check out the prepared food section, thinking they might have meals to go similar to Giant Eagle and a salad bar. We found neither. The prepared food section was very small, with prepackaged products from outside vendors such as potato salad and other picnic items. There were rotisserie chickens, fried food and pizza. No healthy choices unless you count prepackaged sushi. We left our empty cart in the middle of the store and walked out because we couldn't find anything healthy to eat. We may return to check out the non grocery area for items we usually get at Wal Mart. We were less than impressed with the grocery section. read more

One last fact....When this store was new....EVERY SHELF WAS ALWAYS FULL !
