Meijer Howell is a well designed and well stocked store. Their staff is courteous and professional.

Your typical Meijer. This one is laid out differently, the groceries are in 2 areas. A bit confusing but still navigable.

I knew they had amazing sweets of course, but had no idea the other quick breakfast/lunch options. I ended up selecting what I'll call the pickle pizza. Posting a picture. I am a pickle lover and have tried most pickle foods...this one was AMAZING. I'll also add that despite it just being a grab and go counter, even in those instances you can have bad service. Not here! I was greeted immediately and kindly, questions answered, and the young lady helping was patient and helpful. I can't wait to go back and try other items!

Man, this place has everything, with a twist. At first glance, its nothing unique, at least until…read moreyou see what's on display that's for sale. Its normal to see big cookies for sale, but when I went, there was big oatmeal creme pies! Just like how Coldstone has "gotta have it" sizes, this place has "get what you pay for" size. If that isn't enough, their milkshakes are something to gawk at. They're basically a "Midwestern dessert" version of a Bloody Mary with the milkshake itself, then you have cake pops, ores, big cookies, ice cream cones, basically anything you can find in the ice cream aisle of your grocery store is probably topping your shake. Something else that's cool is theres little thin crust personal pizzas for a little grease and crust to balance out the sweetness. If you don't want to look at what they sell on the menu, just look at the displays, everything is out there for you to see in the bakery. The staff is also very helpful, polite, and everyone was smiling in there. There's a reason this place is busy during the summer months. If they're open during Christmas time, im coming back to see if they have anything seasonal recipe-wise.

Much love for this business. My husband came across it this summer and we have been loyal customers…read moreever since. Scott, the owner is really friendly and glad to tell you about the business. The fact that they order their flour from France so the Gluten is very minimal and not processed as it is here. I'm sure they can tell you more and explain it better. As someone who has been Gluten Free for many years and just started eating it again. I like knowing the care and ingredients that go into their products. This business is small but has a lot of character. The Italian Bread is delicious. It has a nice chew to it and fluffy texture. Even better if you're lucky enough to get it fresh and hot from the oven. My favorites are the Croissants. I love the Plain and the Almond is nice as well. . I'm very picky about Croissants and I wish I didn't like them so much because we are constantly stopping in. They now have Cruffins as well. Which is a treat. Usually I can only get them when I'm out of town. I still want to try the Cinnamon Cruffin. I wasn't overly impressed with the Bavarian Creme filling, it tasted more like vanilla pudding to me. The Nutella Cruffin my husband enjoyed. They have a lot of seasonal favorites and specials. The Cinnamon Rolls are good and available only on the weekend. Hot tip* Order online or get there early. There is usually a line out the door.

There's plenty of parking but it does get quite busy on Saturday morning/noon. The place is pretty narrow and small. The offerings are nice but there were not many flaky pastries. I'm used to the huge glass case varieties from Tous les jours or Paris Baguette and love the flaky pastries or novelties the best! Yoon's was bread and bun heavy and their prices overall were higher (if you can believe it!). I did try this Cloud cake $6.50 that was out of this world good but the strawberry jam part was too sweet. The hazelnut cream sandwich loaf (3 small servings) was so beans good with my favorite type of cream that only Asian bakeries can get right! My only complaint is more cream, please!

Despite there being a few options for Korean pastries in AA, I love that Yoon's is still quite busy…read moreand seem to be thriving! I saw an ad for a Grain Latte (mi-su-ga-ru) and was so curious how it would taste. I haven't noticed it anywhere else (other Korean bakeries), so had to make a trip just for the drink, along with their other goodies. Omg, from the first sip, I was transported back to my childhood. I used to drink the multigrain drink that would come in powder form. But this drink was elevated by the espresso. What a perfect combo! Now this latte isn't sweet, so if you are looking for sweet, this won't be the drink for you. I had my hubs try it out and said he could taste espresso with an aftertaste of the grains- not something he would order, himself. But I'm definitely going to! He ordered the pistachio latte and I could tell it's very different from other ps's I've had from Monday Coffee Club or from Yemeni coffee houses. It definitely has that light, Korean, nutty taste that isn't strong. The baked goodie, I'm happy to say, has expanded and they offer so much more than they did since my last review. They've added a few nice tables and chairs, so you don't have to leave to enjoy your pastries or coffee, unless there's no spots. Highly recommend Y if you enjoy desserts that's not too sweet.
