Why would you have a Service Desk that CLOSES while the store is still open??? That is just ridiculous.

Great place for all your needs! It's like an in between Walmart and Target! I wish there are Meijer stores in the east coast.

ALL QUIET ON THE MIDWESTERN FRONT…read more The Bolingbrook Promenade is pretty sleepy, as outdoor malls go. It's one thing for a shopping center to feel chill, but if walking around elicits a few yawns, maybe it's time to invest in some Nugenix. Yes, I'm suggesting that The Promenade is suffering from "low T", which happens to lots of mall in their later years. You can access the mall from Boughton Rd or Janes Ave. The Promenade is missing several things that are synonymous with most malls: food courts, escalators, an Auntie Anne's (or a Wetzel's Pretzels), Cinnabon, Hot Topic or Spencers. I'm glad to have Prince Arcades, though the $20 entry fee is discouraging (I'd rather pay-per-game instead, ain't nobody got time for an all day pass). The space formerly occupied by Mora Asian Kitchen has been vacant for several years despite signage still being present, not a good look for the mall. Danny's Pizza & Burger Bar closed (*was evicted) back in April due to $163K in unpaid rent. Bar Louie, a stalwart of the Promenade for more than 17 years, recently shut their doors due to bankruptcy. The annual Taste of Bolingbrook is held here, but the 2025 edition relied more on food trucks than local businesses. They have a nice big Christmas tree during the holidays, trick or treating around Halloween, and other events throughout the year that attract a decent crowd of people. * TL;DR * The Promenade just can't compete with the fountains, vibes, and variety of stores at Oakbrook Center (a superior outdoor mall half an hour northeast of here). Part of me wishes the Promenade would get converted into a downtown area, since Bolingbrook is lacking one. The handful of empty storefronts and sporadic foot traffic gives off the energy of a ghost town, and on more than one occasion I found myself wondering aloud "where IS everyone??" This laid-back mall could benefit from an infusion of new businesses. I'll come here to shop for specific items, but if I'm just interested in browsing, walking around, or casual people-watching, I'll go somewhere that feels more alive (Fox Valley, Yorktown, etc).

The one attached to the mall feels like a madhouse with the narrow aisles and big shopping carts. This one you have two different size shopping carts and it's more spacious. Parking lot is ample. The products are placed neatly on the shelves vs the other location. I do have to take off a star for customer service. We stood in line for a few minutes and most of the employees were just standing around talking. Only two were actually working. One stopped talking to check us out, by that time the line got longer. It's easier if they just clear the line instead of letting it build up.

First off, anyone with basic common sense knows you only need to scan and the system will tell you if there's another size in the store. She was post-menopausal, and you could just tell. She was highly irritated with my question of whether or not there was another size in ONE garment in a retail store. How obscene it is for me to ask such an unheard-of question. I even told an employee about this terrible experience at the store, and she told me they've been having issues with customer service lately, that employees are becoming rude towards customers. If employees are complaining about their own team, things have already gotten out of control..

Records everywhere, well-organized, catalogued in a way that's convenient and easy to find. Their selection is also amazing! I saw quite a few things there I have not see anywhere else. In terms of pricing, everything is pretty fair, dare I say a steal. They had a super rare bootleg for $100, having collected for a while that is a STEAL. I just wish the staff was nicer. The guy working was helpful, I won't deny that. However when I asked for records by a specific artist I like, his first response was to insult them pretty heavily for a controversy they got in nearly a decade ago. Now I am not a para social person--I do not hold personal investment in the perceptions people have on things I like. However I found the comments to be contradictory and rude. The store sells records by the likes of the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin--two bands I love, but two bands who are not free from controversy themselves. This immediately ruined my experience and I really hate saying that. I put down what I was going to purchase and I left. In my opinion, a response as simple as "I'm sorry, we don't carry anything by them," would have been suitable. Three stars. Cool store, great selection, good value. Unfortunately I just had a terrible personal experience there.

They have consulting that can help you plan a whole room or even house. I also find that they have an awesome plant section for really affordable prices. Lastly, don't miss out on the as-is room for the real deals. It's been a few years since I've been to this location and I did have to take a star off because it's a big more rugged and weathered than I remember. I had the Cod dinner which came with peas and mashed potatoes and gravy and a drink. My son got the Chicken tenders with mac-n-cheese. We also added two slices of garlic bread. And we added a chocolate cake and a carmel crunch cake. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars were the fact that several of the tables were dirty and it took us awhile to find clean ones. But - all of the food was just great! So good. It was like dining at a local diner or hole-in-the-wall place offering some good comfort food. I enjoyed the cod and veggies so much. Drinks are free refills and there are plenty of options. The desserts are great - so don't skip out!
