Perhaps I needed a certain screw or paint. They would stay until I was done and had what I needed. I always had the impression that the people working there were retired contractor or carpenters picking up extra cash. Tonight I was in a hurry and the cashier told me which aisle to go to. I met a guy there, showed him what I was looking for, except in a somewhat different size. He barely glanced at my item, waved vaguely toward a cabinet and walked away. I managed with a lot of effort to find what I needed. When I got home it was not the right fastener, no surprise. If only this person had spent 5 minutes with me, I'm sure we would have found it, assuming he knew what he was doing. Next time I will go to Home Depot!

BEWARE!!! Dan Sold me moldy warped lumber…read more Laughed when I complained. Asked "what did I expect?" Dry lumber, that isn't rotting with mold and mildew is what I expected! It isn't like I paid for bargain wood, this was hugely expensive! Much more than a box store, and that's without the 12+ hours I've spent sanding all of it to make it usable, since Dan wouldn't let me return it.

Prices are fair for the quality of the work. We have been very happy with the craftsmanship. The custom nature of these orders means there is a wait time, but we were in no rush and were very happy with the products we got. I will highlight that we specifically asked about low VOC finishes and were assured that's what they use. When our bed arrived, it had no smell. Our dresser does have a very strong smell and it does transfer onto clothes still, even though we aired out of room for a day after it arrived, wiped it down, and it's been 4 weeks now. White glove delivery was also included and both times (it was two separate orders, months apart) the delivery people were professional and were careful about placing items where we wanted, and not damaging anything while entering our home / navigating stairs and tight corners.
