Review #15 Yelp's 30 Day Challenge 2012 I found this place after looking for some used snow tires on Kijiji.ca. They had placed a few ads, so I gave them a call. They had tires in stock for my Mazda 3 and said between $250 and $300 for a used set. Since it started snowing like crazy I went in and they told me they could put them on my car if I came back in about 2 hours. So I did some errands and then came back. Although they were slammed and had car after car to put tires on, they had my car done in about 30 minutes while I waited. This is WAY more convenient than leaving your car all day at Canadian Tire like my poor grandma had to do. I had to drop her pick her up and drop her off after it took 5 hours for her car to be done. Also they include installation when you buy tires, so a pretty awesome deal. The used tires I have are good too. No problems and were about 90% tread they told me. I definitely recommend them, sometimes small shops are way better than the chains. The owner really cares about his customers too. Only thing I'd say is if there's lots of snow be wary of coming up the steep ramp into the parking lot, I couldn't make it the first time, you need speed, which may or may not be a good idea as the parking lot can be full. But the second time I tried with momentum I made it. You can always park somewhere else and have them drive it up if you're really worried. read more

I cannot say enough good about this place. Came in for an alignment before setting off on a 5000km journey - they found an issue that would have caused a wreck (I had been to 2 other shops for various work, this issue was not found!) Then they rearranged their schedule to fit my repair in so I could leave on time AND gave me a sweet price!! At the end when we were leaving they discovered the power steering belt needed changed, so they hauled it back in and did that too on the spot! Amazing attitudes, workmanship and service!!! If you treasure your wheels or don't want it damaged, DON'T come here. They damaged 3 of my 4 pristine factory alloy wheels ($400 each) during a tire change with their machines. When confronted, refused to admit they did something wrong until I showed them pictures of my wheels before the change. Then they made excuses about "we thought these were just used wheels" as if customers don't care about damage to their wheels. Only offered me $70 off, and not a repair or replacement of my now chipped wheels. It's going to cost me $150 each to repair them. Not damaging the wheel is a fundamental principle of running a tire shop, and they can't even do it right. Again if you have nice wheels or don't want your current alloy wheels to be damaged, DON'T go to this place. Go to a bigger tire shop, at least they know what they're doing, and offer to repair or replace something they damage. read more

I recently had to purchase new tires for my Cayenne Porsche. To be honest, tires seem to be a daunting purchase to me as it's not something I tend to do everyday and everyone seems to have an opinion on the "best" tire for your car! Mega Tire Ltd was great. Not only did I receive an objective an informed price but I was given time to ask questions without feeling embarrassed of knowing nothing regarding tires. The owner took time to discuss and listen to my questions, he explained options for safety, value and price range. The price I received was better than the other guys close by and he was able to get it done to fit my schedule - not theirs! I felt really good about the honesty and patience they showed and the follow up call a week later was pretty nice. I should mention I also dealt with two other staff at MegaTire and they were equally friendly and courteous. Great to see! read more
