I was literally with someone named Megan when we saw this bar so it was only right for us to pop in and have a drink. The bartender was polite but clearly has his limits with demanding customers. He warmed up when we and another patron started talking about Houston, which he had just visited. He was also nice enough to make me a Shirley Temple. And while he said he was making a grapefruit and vodka drink for my companion, the color was more lemon/citrusy but she didn't complain. This bar definitely has a vibe. There was a sign acknowledging the holidays but I didn't know if it was meant to be ironic or if they just didn't know how to spell Kwanzaa. Maybe it's a reference I'm not cool enough to get. Also the bathroom has a telephone receiver for a handle so there's that. But if you want a quiet spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, this is likely your place.

We stumbled into this bar on a Saturday evening while looking for an alternative to Connelly's, which was packed of course. We wanted to escape the foot traffic and I'm so glad I stepped inside. The bar was pleasantly empty, with just a few people scattered around enjoying their weekend and taking a breather from the chaos outside. It felt like taking a deep breath in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. When I noticed they had Golden Monkey on tap, I was ecstatic! That alone is reason enough for me to come back the next time I'm in the area. This lowkey spot offers an impressive variety of beers on tap...there's a good chance they'll have your favorite if you're willing to come. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. Also noticed the place might go by the name Kevin's.

Had a quiet Sunday Lunch at Megan's. What a pleasant experience.. friendly staff, great food and wonderful service. We had the open face steak sandwich and chips and dip...everything was fantastic! Highly recommended!

Fast seating! Friendly server. Cute pub. Fish and Chips 9/10 thick but crunchy batter. Maybe a sweetness to the batter? Fries were good as well. Ate it without the sauces. Cool spot in the Diamond District. Food was subpar at best. Loved the wings, skip the burger. The burger was overcooked even though I asked for medium. Not much more to add, but it has a nice bar.

Randomly selected this place, because of it's proximity to Grand Central Station, where we were arriving, and the theatre we were going to see a show at. Fully realizing this could be hit or miss, being smack in the middle of midtown and touristy area. It was definitely a hit! And I can't wait to go back! The place inside was a pub, with all the atmosphere that comes with it. My daughter and I were seated right away (it was a Saturday afternoon), and I got a cold beer, while she got a nice Shirley Temple. I noticed a table near us had some phone chargers available for customers, which I thought was a nice touch. We started with delicious Teriyaki Chicken Dumplings. My daughter ordered fish and chips, and I had The Bavarian sandwich (pastrami). Food was fantastic, portions on a large side. As my daughter said, I think I have a whole fish here. Great place, great food, great service...right in the heart of NYC.

Stopped by for lunch just prior to out 2pm matinee. Our server Anna quick to take care of us and provided excellent service. The Greek salad was very good and the New York pizza was creative and tasty. Would highly recommend giving Megan's a chance

We just noticed on the credit card charge from Megan's there was an extra $8 added to our total bill after we already left a nearly 20% tip for lacking service. With the extra charge they put on, it made the tip 30%. Beware!! With that I definitely won't be back despite my initial good review

The service is so great here! Trevor is an awesome server. Friendly and not over barring. He makes you laugh and gets you taken care of. As a vegetarian I LOVED the burger. It was a fun twist on balsamic, tomato, mozzarella sticks in a veg burger! YUMMY! The wings were also great! Left paying $45 for drinks and food. Great prices and service! 5 stars and then some.

Amazing ..great food , not expensive but great quality! This place was the cleanest place I have eaten in in nyc! The drinks were boozy and the staff were accommodating and super nice ! I've been exploring my lunch options in midtown recently and have found that the Irish bars serve the best ratio of service to food quality. I was recommended here by a coworker, and I wasn't disappointed! Small bar, very lively and great upbeat ambiance. My server (I hope I spell this correctly, Maran? Small girl with cute bangs) was so lovely. I could tell she was busy as it was peak lunchtime for those of us working in the surrounding offices. However her attentiveness was impeccable, as was her recommendation of the "battered sausage" special. Supposedly an Irish speciality, it was delicious despite the high calories I assume it carries, haha! I will return on my cheat day and hopefully can chat with Marrin some more as she perked up my day with her colourful personality and impeccable service. read more

Creative food, tasty beers, and friendly Irish service! Came in around 3:00pm for my husband, my 11 year old daughter, and me. Not too complicated menu, fresh food, and creative apps and sandwiches. Food was amazing! Highly recommend. Servers were so nice and even though they were slammed, they still had full conversations with us and got our food and drinks out. So we were trying to bar hop and get some quick food. We thought Megan's looked like a great choice. To start off the waiter/bartender was a gentleman a really nice man no complaints with the customer service whatsoever. Great place for that. For food? No. We ordered the "New York Pizza" that is one of the most disrespectful names to give that pizza. That pizza looked and tasted like it came straight out of Chuck E Cheese. The pizza was floppy. Droopy and terrible with chicken tenders on it as the "Buffalo chicken" we also ordered the "Hunters Cheese Steak" large portion for the price but it just wasn't hittin the way it should have. We also ordered a Blueberry stoli and Lemon drop martini. Blueberry stoli was average but the Martini... That wasn't it. It was absolute lemon vodka with sugar on the rim. For $80 I was very disappointed, hence the one star. Cool place to get a few beers and drink but that's it for my opinion. read more

If I could give negative stars I totally would but one star. First off the bartender did not know how to make drinks. My friend had asked for a certain cocktail and he had absolutely no clue on how to make it. That was fine. She ordered another drink (mojito), and it tasted very bad so she decided to give us the drink. She ended up just ordering ONE BEER. We were minding our own business and this lady who was next to us made a racist comment saying the bar smelled like "Chinese babies", and it was very loud and clear. So my friends and I were defending ourselves but the bartender said we were "too drunk". Mind you, we were sober. NOT BELLIGERENT or drunk... It was absolutely uncalled for and I do hope the staff within this pub/restaurant recognize the disrespect that was given to us. read more

My girlfriend and I were bar hopping and we decided to get food at Megan's because it looked appetizing from the menu. The customer service was Devine. Very sweet guy nice guy with a thick Irish accent, very authentic since it's an Irish pub. The food on the other hand wasn't good. We ordered the "New Yorker Pizza" I review pizzas on the regular, and to call that " The New Yorker Pizza" is a slap in the face to any pizza enthusiast. It was floppy and it tasted like it was microwaved reheated Chuck E Cheese pizza. Terrible. I ordered the "Hunters Steak" which was a huge portion. Decent flavor index but it wasn't anything special. The food was not it. Packed it up going to feed it to my dog. The drinks were terrible I asked for a "Lemon drop martini" it was Absolute lemon vodka with a sugar rim. The blueberry stoley my girlfriend got was good. Overall disappointed to pay $80 for this experience. The gentleman was great. A cool place to grab a beer but that's all. Enjoy. read more

I went to Megan's to have brunch with my son 6-13-22. When we walked in all eyes was on us like we did not belong the waiter was rude and cold. I told him to watch the way he spoke to me. I am a customer and I was not being unruly to him. It was clear to me that they are not accommodating to people of color. I told my son to get up we are leaving we'll eat in our neighborhood Chelsea. He didn't understand why we where being mistreated I told him racism. I can't believe this ignorance is still going on in America. Please do not waste your money in this racist establishment. read more

Generally a nice place with cool staff, but crazyBitch Sarah who claims to be the manager goes on power trips and decides to throw people out on a whim. That's ok. Lots of other bars. Nobody from our company will be back till she's gone. Note to Megan's - we won't be back till she's gone, so get rid of CrazyBitch or we go elsewhere. Your call. read more

Wandered into this bar on a Sunday night and it was better than expected, especially for this area. The bar was spacious, relaxed, and the bartender was friendly + made sure we were taken care of. I had the wings and the dip sampler - both amazing! Definitely better than your average bar. We spent the night drinking wine and watching the game and it was a great atmosphere, not too loud or crazy and great service. Will definitely be returning. read more

Came here with a friend for some quick after-work drinks before dinner plans down the street. For a Thursday evening, we lucked out with the corner spot right next to the stairs at the upstairs bar. Didn't get a chance to try the food, but will definitely be back after several nice complements from the groups next to us. We each got the milk stout and the strongest IPA (whose name I don't remember), both which were nice and crisp. Drinks came out quickly and bartenders were prompt with orders. This place was close to our hotel so we ate here twice. The first time was for lunch. I had the best cheesesteak in NYC. And the house beers are really good, get the IPA. On the day of our departure, we wanted a good breakfast. Decided to try Megan's. Glad we did. read more

Very sad night... Made a reservation a couple of weeks before time for 12 senior citizens for 12/21 at 6:30pn with someone who said their name was Anna... When I got their... they claimed they don't take reservations and it was a long wait for a table. Did not stay... It's not a good thing when you make a reservation... and you go there and there isn't one... but to make matters worse... some of the seniors had trouble walking... it ruined our night Beware read more

It's easy to miss walking by but once inside there's a bar on the main floor, restaurants in the next floor and a rooftop bar several stories up. The rooftop bar is a huge open atmosphere and once seated you have about 40 beers on tap to select from. The staff is incredibly friendly as well and knew exactly what I was looking for. Hit the spot even though I was reluctant.

After looking at Megan's reviews and menu we decided it would be fun to try it. I did call to be sure they had room and they accommodated our time. What an Incredible and interesting list of beers! The food was very good and had vegetarian options. It was clear that it was a popular New York City favorite spot as we watched many people coming in from work who seemed to know the staff and other patrons. Many of the staff members were Irish and we enjoyed talking to them. Just like Ireland the food was delicious, homemade and wholesome. The staff was extremely friendly. Karl is a dismissive, above it all kind of s×&t head you don't want to have served you. the Irish breakfast was actually great, tomatos weren't grilled but whatever, my wives breakfast was good too. but Karl was dismissive to customer after customer except for the guy that seems to have coached a soccer team and he couldn't have sucked him off more. the other heavy set bald guy was f-ing great like every one else I've ever met in Ireland. Big shout out to Sarah, Collett, Rudy and the rest of the team for looking after a bunch of us for many daytime hours on a Saturday & Sunday. We were well fed, well watered and very well entertained. I suffer from cp, which effects, my motor coordination. I went there this evening, with two friends. A bar tender with a ponytail shouted down the bar and said "I'm not serving him!" I ask "why?" and he then shout at me "your too fucked up!". We just walked out in disgust. read more
