Megan did an absolutely fabulous job photographing our family reunion. We were grandma, grandpa, daughter, son-in-law, and two six-year old grandkids. Megan was terrific with the kids, demonstrating great patience and a wonderful sense of humor. We had requested a natural desert setting and she recommended Papago Park around 5 PM. The setting was perfect, as was the lighting. She took photos for a full hour, with a multitude of different cameras. Our access to all the digital photos you'd ever want to print came in about 3 days. We were able to share the digital files with anyone we want, and they can print their copies too. My husband and I were looking for a photographer to take family pictures in Scottsdale when we were there celebrating my father's 70th birthday. I have had a pleasure of being photographed by Megan twice. Once as a bridesmaid and then just recently she did our annual family photos. I cannot say enough good things about Megan. Megan met us for a 30-minute family session and had a HUGE obstacle to overcome in dealing with our not always compliant three-year-old son. Megan's work is so top notch that I didn't hesitate to fly her across the country to shoot my wedding! Megan has a unique ability to really capture the spirit of a person or event, partly because she's a brilliant photographer and partly because she's so warm and personable that she's able to put the people she's photographing at ease. It really comes through in the images. Flipping through pictures of people at my wedding I kept finding myself saying "Oh my god, that is SO THEM." These aren't canned, stiff, boring traditional wedding pictures, they really reflect the energy of the day and the spirit of everyone involved. How cool is that? She also has a knack for capturing the beauty of the venue and all the little details that us brides obsess over and worry that no one will notice :) It's apparent that Megan LOVES what she does, and she wants to make sure that her clients love the results as well. I think the fact that so many of her clients are repeat clients (engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn, family sessions...) speaks volumes about her talent and ease to work with. My only complaint is that I don't have enough wall space in my house for all the beautiful images she captured of my favorite day ever. I hired Megan to take some family photos while my family was visiting from out of town. There was only one day that we would all be together at the same time and it happened to be a Tuesday. However, there were no photo studios open on a Tuesday. I needed to consider accommodations for my elderly mother who is unable to do much standing or walking. Therefore, I felt with no open studios, having a photographer come to my home and take some pics would be the best alternative seeing that I have a fairly large backyard with lots of greenery and well landscaped. I found Megan and was encouraged by the great reviews and felt lucky she was available. She arrived at my home a few minutes late, which was not a great first impression. She surveyed the areas inside and outside my home and decided to take photos in both areas. Megan was sweet and extremely accommodating to my elderly mother, making sure she was comfortable at all times. The overall photo shoot went great. It was the quality of the photos that I had an issue with. Pros: 1. As stated, Megan is sweet and accommodating during the shoot 2. Fast turnaround of digital images so that I could share w/ my family the same day Cons: 1. The digital photos were delivered with 0% touch ups. I have not used a photographer in the last 15 years that did not deliver some sort of touch ups (skin smoothing, blemish removing,etc.). As I stated to her before she left, I would have been fine with waiting a week to get the pics, assuming that I would have had professional looking photos in the end. 2. My mother's bra strap is clearly visable in every photo. Most, if not all, professional photographers I have ever used takes the time before each shot to make sure everyone's clothes and hair are in place. She did none of that. Overall, I'm happy to have some photos to memorialize my family's visit. However, I could have saved myself good chuck of money had I just put my Nikon DSLR on the tripod and set the time delay. Would have gotten the same (if not better quality). read more

Wow! I just got the images from Megan's newborn photo shoot of my son, and they are absolutely amazing. I have very high expectations when it comes to photography and she actually went above and beyond what I expected. First, and most importantly, the photos are beautiful. The family pictures truly capture the emotions of new parents and grandparents at a very special time in all of our lives. She does beautiful, natural looking portraits in a photojournalism-style format so they do not look posed at all, and almost look candid at times. The solo pictures of the baby look like art. I want to get canvas prints of several of them to hang in our house because they are truly beautiful, artistic pieces that I will cherish forever (and I'm not just saying that because this is my baby!) Second, at the shoot itself, she was friendly, professional and fun. My whole family loved her. She was so gentle with my newborn baby while also somehow getting him in perfect position and lighting for the pictures. I also highly recommend Megan for weddings! I actually found Megan because she was the photographer at my sister-in-law's wedding. The shots from that wedding were just incredible. So good that I had to track her down to make her my permanent family photographer. Her rates are also very competitive. She will come to any location and bring props and she will get you a sneak preview of the photos very shortly after the shoot! read more

Megan Robbins is a fantastic photographer! Based on her portfolio and previous yelp reviews, my family and I hired her to take photos over Thanksgiving while we were all in town visiting my in-laws. She drove out to Surprise from Phoenix and was right on time even though she had never been to the venue before. She is extremely experienced with family shoots and was fantastic with the 2 somewhat uncooperative 2 year olds in our family. She had great suggestions for groupings as well as backgrounds for the photos. The photographs turned out incredible and were edited and available via dropbox in less than a week. I was devastated when I received my wedding photos from Megan Robbins Photography. We did receive a few very nice photos but these were all staged photos prior or after the ceremony. The pictures focused on scenery and not on the people. All the special moments were missed from the ceremony to the toasts to our first dance. We asked for specific pictures and they were not taken. Our wedding was small so it wasn't like there was not plenty of opportunity. Many guests commented that our photographer seemed bored and spent a lot of time talking to guests rather than taking pictures. When I showed friends who did not attend our wedding photos they commented how surprised they were that the photos were taken by a professional photographer. We did not get what we paid for, and much worse than that we feel we don't have pictures to remind us of the special moments at our wedding. read more
