If you've considered boudoir and aren't sure where to start, I couldn't recommend Lynn more. I wanted to do a shoot for my husband for our first anniversary (the paper anniversary). Having to reschedule my shoot several times due to a surprise summer job, and later a last minute vacation, Lynn was very accommodating and to say the least, very patient with all the reschedules! We had a consultation early on that laid out how the shoot would work and what my package options were (there's definitely something for everyone). I settled on a special package that included a photo album, digital copies on a usb, and a digital brag book for our phones. I wasn't particularly nervous going into the shoot, as I am already very comfortable with my body, but for anyone having any doubts, I assure you that Lynn makes everything not only comfortable, but fun! Though I did not partake, there is always wine available at the shoot to help ease your nerves too! My hair and makeup was done by Erica and I'd highly recommend doing the same. It makes it so much easier to jump right into the shoot and you don't have to worry about your hair or makeup getting messed up before hand. Besides, Erica does an amazing job and made me feel gorgeous! The shoot is laid out in an apartment and Lynn walks you through all your poses, even facial expressions. She definitely knows what she is doing! It was amazing going through the photos after she was done with them....and SO HARD to choose between them for the book! She had me looking gorgeous! I must have gone over the photos a half dozen times before I settled on my final choices; again Lynn was very patient :) My book took a couple weeks to come in and I couldn't wait. I checked my email compulsively for the message that it had arrived. The book was an amazing quality and Lynn presented it in a pretty, sturdy, gray box with a pink bow. To say that my husband loved it would be an understatement! He was blown away! And knowing that he can carry the digitals on his phone and computer was a bonus! In short, I could not be happier with my experience and have already mentioned it to several of my friends! I could scarcely believe the gorgeous, sexy woman in the photos was me! Lynn has a real talent for choosing just the right lighting and angles to make her subjects look amazing. Her photos are worthy of a Maxim or Vogue cover. Honestly, they are that good. I went into my viewing session rather skeptical. I mean, I know my body and have never liked being photographed. But, when I saw the quality of Lynn's work, I was amazed. I left her studio even liking my thighs, which is no small thing (neither are they!) I was looking to do boudoir photography on a whim and did a google search. Lynn came up as third on the list, but her portfolio (and a $100 special this summer!) were instant sellers. It's a difficult line to walk, when it comes to photography designed to make women feel sexy. How do you do sexy without being cheesy? How to keep it classy and make it beautiful, instead of letting it cross over into raunchy? How to make it creative, and artistic? Most importantly, how to do it with normal women, in all their flawed, sometimes poochy, sometimes stretchmarked glory? It's a tough thing to do, but Lynn does this all perfectly. I absolutely LOVED doing this photo shoot with Lynn! I chose to go with her over another photographer because I liked her portfolio better, and I'm so glad I did. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable during the shoot. My friend did a photoshoot with Boudoir in Bloom, and as soon as I saw her pictures, I was ready to sign up myself! Her pictures, as well as mine, turned out to be amazing! Lynn is an amazing photographer and person. I was nervous about the photo shoot and had no idea what I was going to wear. I spent a lot of time looking for outfits and wasn't sure about what I had picked, Lynn was incredibly helpful in that process. I emailed her pictures and ideas and she always responded quickly with helpful feedback. She always made her self available for my many questions leading up to the photo shoot about jewelry, shoes, even nail polish, makeup and hair, etc. On the day of the photo shoot, Lynn did a great job of making me feel comfortable. She is incredibly sweet and kind. She has a great set up for the photo shoot with lots of different options as backdrops and set ups. She takes a lot of time and puts a lot of thought into planning out the session. She helped me pick out jewelry and accessories on teh day of the shoot that ended up working out really well. She took her time and didn't make me feel rushed through the photo shoot. She really guides you through the poses and what to do to maximize your photographic potential! I had a great time and would go back to her again without hesitation. My pictures turned out so great and she gave me plenty of time to pick out which ones I wanted for my album. She also gave me good feedback when I wasn't sure which ones to pick or was having a hard time between a few. My photoalbum is beautiful and very well made. Lynn was very professional through the whole process and sent the album to me promptly. She even sent it with a very sweet thank you card and beautiful packaging. For years, I've had terrible body image problems, but I tend to do things before I think about them. So when I booked a boudoir photo shoot with Lynn, I hadn't considered the idea that I would actually have to stand mostly naked in front of a stranger. Once a few days had passed I realized holy-cow-I-really-just-did-this-what-was-I-thinking?! I had put down a deposit. I was going to have to show off my body, imperfections and all, to a real person. And she would be wielding a camera so that the moment could be preserved forever. Oops. I figured I should go through with this because: If I looked OK enough, I could give the book as a present to my husband (10 points for finding a gift before Christmas Eve!) Maybe I would come out of this thinking I might look a little bit OK in some part of my body. Maybe I started picking out outfits. I went shopping. I pranced around in front of the mirror and made absurd faces. I laughed at myself for thinking this might work. On Thursday morning, I showed up at Lynn's house. She was baking cookies and she cut up a persimmon for me. From the moment I showed up to the moment I left (some 6 hours later), Lynn made me feel comfortable and natural. I pointed my toes, arched my back, and moved my head an inch that way (no, the other that way). When I showed up the next day for my viewing session, I cheered for every picture. I looked amazing! In the end, I feel so much more confident in my own skin. The photos I got from Lynn are going to be a constant, beautiful reminder that even if I eat dessert, even if I don't lose another 10 pounds, I am freaking gorgeous! I was looking for a boudoir photographer when I came across Lynn's website. I wanted to get my husband something a little different for his birthday and thought this would be the perfect gift. I looked at Lynn's website and knew right away I need look no further. She seemed to capture the personality of each person she photographed. Each photo was fun, sexy, and artistic. I cannot say enough good things about Lynn.. she makes the boudoir experience so easy and comfortable! I knew I wanted to do a boudoir shoot as a wedding present to my fiance, so I researched boudoir photographers in the area, and I liked her pictures the best. I first had the pleasure of joining Lynn on her Pure Life Women's Retreat. It was because of the retreat that I got the opportunity to do a mini boudoir session with Lynn. Lynn is not only a boudoir photographer, but a yoga instructor and as well. She is definitely a person with many talents! I really only spent about 20 minutes on my boudoir session with her so I didn't expect much... but when I saw my own pictures, I was blown away. She made me look like a freaken goddess! I have never recommended a business with such enthusiasm as I can express for Boudoir in Bloom. Lynn, the beautiful, talented, super sweet and completely genuine owner and photographer, made the entire experience first class. From my very first communication with Lynn I knew she was passionate about Boudoir Photography. She went out of her way to accommodate all of my requests. Not only was she patient and helpful when I text her photos of possible outfits, she also met me in Scottsdale to go shopping. We had a blast picking out beautiful (and sexy) lingerie. Lynn knew just what would be the most flattering on me and was also conscious of the cost of the items- we made some great finds! Now to the fun part... the photo shoot. After hair and makeup (by the very talented and friendly Erica- the best makeup artist I have ever worked with) we jumped right into the session. I can't express how much fun we had. I honestly was looking forward to the finished product so much that I had no idea that I would genuinely enjoy the process. What an amazing experience! Because I already felt so comfortable with Lynn, I did not feel shy or insecure at all. We spent hours taking photos and I never felt rushed. In fact Lynn barely looked at the clock and we for sure went over the scheduled 3 hours. For each shoot Lynn goes out of her way to make your experience and photos unique. She tells you just how to pose (while at the same time making sure you feel natural and comfortable.) I truly felt like a super model! It was such a freeing experience. We even did a few shots at a nearby outdoor site- my favorite part! After the shoot I felt like a new person- empowered, confident and full of self acceptance. I now appreciate my curves and realize that even my flaws are beautiful. Initially I did this as a gift for my husband to honor our 5 year anniversary but truthfully it turned out to be more for me! I saw the photos today and I was blown away. Not only did she make me look sexy, seductive and stunning in every shot, but I now see that beauty in myself. If you look through Lynn's portfolio you will appreciate that every client is beautiful and that each and every body type and individual is sexy, real and beautiful for its uniqueness and even for its flaws. Lynn is truly an artist and works wonders with natural lighting and simple sets. I have shared some of the photos with a few friends and they are mesmerized! Something about Boudoir in Bloom made me look at it again and again and I finally decided to give Lynn a try. From setting up the appointment I could not have been happier! Before I decided to do boudoir photos I convinced myself I'd never have the body to do it. When I got engaged I was determined to loose the few extra pounds to look good on my wedding day. Shortly after I started working on my body I realized maybe just maybe I could get boudoir photos...I met Lynn Dao...an amazing photographer! By then I lost a bunch of weight and I realized something...I want boudoir photos FOR ME!...and yes of course to make my soon to be hubby drool.
