We had such an amazing experience working with Storytellers Global. One thing that I really appreciated from the beginning when I reached out for some more information, Josh asked to get on a call with my fiance and I to learn a bit more about our venue and wedding style and help fit us with one of their packages. I can't tell you how many other companies just sent over a brochure with their pricing with no follow-up. In speaking with Josh, he was very consultative, and also just a very pleasant person to talk with. After comparing a few other photographers, we landed on Storytellers because of their beautiful editing style, and we knew we would be in good hands with experienced professionals. We worked with Anel for our engagement photoshoot, and she was a complete gem. My husband and I are not picture people, and she was able to get us comfortable in front of the camera. Those pictures turned out beautifully. For the wedding, we worked with Anel and Andrew for photography, and Marilyn for videography, and I cannot stress how amazing it was to work with all of them. I was a bundle of nerves the day of my wedding, and not once did I have to worry about anything not being captured. If anything, being around them helped ease our nerves a bit, because they were all so nice to be around. We went with a full nine hour package, and by the end of the day, it felt like we all had gone through a journey together. Weddings are wild. The photos turned out beautifully, and we cried the first time we watched our video. We got to relive all of the beautiful details again (some that we didn't even get to see) without the stress that came with the big day. I would love to work with Storytellers again, and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful team of professionals. read more

Liberty took graduation photos for 2 of my daughters and they turned out so beautiful! She was flexible and easy to work with and was such a good sport traveling to all 3 of our portrait locations. I loved that she took really classy beautiful pictures with such a good eye to position then to capture the surrounding beauty of the desert and mountains as well. We are very happy with the pictures! Thank you! read more

I would 100% recommend Joshua and his team to anyone looking for a truly special photographer. We recently hired Joshua for our elopement and he could not have made us feel more relaxed on our wedding day. My husband and I are pretty private people who didn't want a big wedding with the stereotypical cheesy or cliche wedding photographs. Joshua really understood us and made us feel so comfortable and at ease while he worked. We've seen a few sneak peeks and they are so much more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. I don't even know where to begin!! I'm so thankful I found the Storytellers team for both my engagement photos and wedding photos. Josh and Emily were the photographers for our wedding and made our special day that much more special! They are so funny and help you feel comfortable in front of a camera, something I am not good at being at all! Some of the most talented, genuine people you could ever work with. JOSHUA IS AMAZING. 8/10 stars. Would hire again. 3 thumbs up. Joshua is such an amazing photographer. He shot our engagement AND wedding photos. He is super quick at responding to emails, texts, and phone calls. He is easy to work with and doesn't make you feel awkward or uncomfortable during the sessions. He made sure that he captured every special moment (even in the FREEZING cold) and went above and beyond expectations. I was able to send him ideas and inspirations of photos I liked, and he took time out of his day to review the photos and make sure that we got ones just like them. During our wedding, he even shooed away some of our nosey relatives so that we could have a private moment to ourselves. It was much needed. Josh is able to tell what you need as a client and make sure you get it. Hire Josh. I promise that you won't be disappointed. read more

I've worked with the Storytellers Team on three different photo shoots over the last few years - family photo shoots and professional/lifestyle head shots. Every single time I've worked with them has far exceeded my expectations. In addition to the quality of their work being so superb, Josh is just such a fun, nice, lighthearted guy. It makes the picture taking process that much better and easier! The pictures are always phenomenal, and his turnaround time is incredibly fast. The fact that I have continuously turned to him for my important photo needs says it all. I couldn't say a bad thing about the Storytellers Team if I had to! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

We worked with Joshua as our wedding photographer and he is absolutely fantastic! 1. The hiring process was very easy. Joshua and I had a phone interview where he asked what kind of 'feel' we were going for with our wedding and our style. He was very receptive towards all of my questions for him and gave us very honest and straight-forward answers. 2. Leading up to the wedding, he was very responsive to all of my bride-crazy questions. 3. On the day of the wedding, they arrived right on time. What I appreciated SO much was that when they arrived, they didn't come in with a huge gust of wind and create all this momentum around themselves. They came in so calm but with a plan and worked around me as I got ready. We didn't have some of the traditional elements (e.g. bridal party) but that was no issue and we did not lose out on photos because of that. In the pre-interview and list of pictures that I wanted, I completely forgot a couple of design items that I personally worked on. Without telling ever Joshua, he recognized those elements and got photos of them. 4. For the ceremony, Joshua was able to get so many beautiful shots and I don't even remember him being there! After the ceremony, he was fantastic about gathering everyone for the group family pictures and those came out so great! My husband and I are not comfortable taking photos and we have no idea what our 'angles' are. Joshua was able to create a space for both of us that we felt calm and comfortable and that definitely came across in the photos! His direction was spot on and we absolutely love what he captured. 5. He also did a great job at the reception! Speeches, dancing, and guests - he captured them all and those pictures are so much fun to look back on. 6. Getting the pictures back from him was no issue at all. I asked him if it was possible to airbush out a tattoo and he did with no problem at all and it looks very natural. He did an amazing job editing! Joshua was amazing to work with and his love for what he does comes through in every single picture. When we hired him, we had no idea how important he work would be to us and we could not be more appreciative and grateful to him for capturing our most special day. read more

Josh is fantastic!! My husband and I hired Josh to do a family photo shoot of us and our 2 dogs for Christmas cards that we are sending out, along with some individual head shots. We were photographed at Anthem Park and it was SOO windy that day! Our sweet pups were not interested in sitting nice for the pictures, so we had a lot of things out of anyone's control that were preventing us from getting a nice family photo shoot that day. Josh met us at the park and he was so friendly and personable. He just rolled with the wind that we were facing that day and he was so funny and cool about it. He knew about a place at the park that had a wind-breaker effect, so it wasn't as windy there. That was so helpful! I was worried that our pictures would have my hair in my face, but our pictures came back about a week after our shoot and they looked AMAZING!! They were so nice! He got some nice detail shots with the lace trim on my dress and our wedding rings. They are so professional and beautiful. He was able to get our dogs to look at the camera, so we got some good pictures of our whole family. His prices are reasonable and we will DEFINITELY be calling him again for our next photo shoot! read more

I feel so blessed to have found Joshua and Storytellers Photography for our engagement and upcoming wedding photos. I am the queen of research and after reading reviews and seeing his work, I was happily surprised to find out how reasonable his pricing was and I couldn't be more pleased about our decision. Joshua gave us plenty of coaching prior to the engagement session so that we could get the most out of the photos, including suggestions on attire and location. It ended up feeling very "us" and I appreciated the time he took to get to know us and our styles - I know it will only help on the wedding day. I would strongly suggest getting an engagement session prior to the wedding. It helped us to feel like Joshua is a friend rather than an outsider taking pictures day-of and the results of his work prove that our wedding photos are going to be amazing - and who doesn't want one less thing to worry about day-of! Thank you, Joshua! We can't wait for the big day! read more

We hired Josh to do our engagement photos. We were doing a destination wedding, so we wanted to make some wedding announcements with photos of us to go out on the day of our wedding. My fiancée wasn't quite on board with the plan, until he saw how beautifully the images turned out and the wedding announcements got such a positive response. Josh was friendly, warm, and easy to work with. He accommodates our request to have our dog be part of our shoot as well. We had fun at the shoot and couldn't be happier with the finished product. So pleased with our experience with Liberty at Storytellers Photography. Our photos were taken at Bell Rock in Sedona and we couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. She did a great job of capturing both us and the landscape, and the editing of the photos is fantastic. We wouldn't hesitate to have Liberty photograph us again, no matter the occasion! read more

This review is LONG overdue!! First - I have to say that Josh is simply amazing! My husband, Dan, and I found him a long time ago to take our engagement photos in La Jolla, CA and immediately connected with him. He has a great personality and made Dan and I feel completely comfortable. Because of this (and the fact that our engagement photos look amazing), we wanted to book him for our wedding in Maui, Hawaii.... 10/17/13 After speaking with Josh almost every month from the engagement photo session to the wedding (which was a lot), we had the chance to get to know him even more. We were so excited when he informed us that his wife and him were expecting their first child!.... And it just so happened that the due date was around our wedding date! You could imagine, as a bride and groom, how that could make you feel if your photographer is expecting on the same date of your wedding! However, Dan and I were completely comfortable and confident in Josh because he said he would be there for us no matter what - also telling us that his wife will be taken care of by family if it just so happens to be around the same time. The night before the wedding, Josh informed us that he became a father to a gorgeous baby girl! We were so happy for him but were sad that he couldn't be there for his wife, family and new little one. He told us not to worry, and on the day of the wedding, he rocked it!! He was there for us every step of the way. All our photos turned out amazing and he definitely went above and beyond! Dan and I are so happy and lucky we found him. Josh is wonderful and he is very flexible and professional. We highly recommend you use him for your photography. Our next step - using him for our pregnancy photos when the time comes! read more

We are so glad we chose Jose as our photographer for our wedding shoot! He was extremely easy to work with, very responsive, fun, and just an amazing person! Despite the fact that I was one whole hour late to the appointment, he worked very fast to made sure I had enough photos taken. All the pictures came out amazing!!! He will not make you feel like you are just his "client" but more like a friend, which made it so much fun a fun easy to work with. I definitely recommend him and we will for sure be contacting him if we want to take a family photo in the future. Thank you Josh! read more

We chose Joshua to do a 10 year anniversary photo shoot while we were vacationing in Scottsdale. He really knows what he is doing! He did a great job recommending a location with desert scenery but not too far of a drive from us. Joshua suggested meeting as soon after sunrise as we could to take advantage of the best lighting. I did not have particular poses in mind because I trusted his judgment and skill as a photographer. He was easy to work with and to take direction from. My husband and I had fun just talking to him during and after our shoot. We were done in under an hour. We are very pleased with how the photos came out! I also want to add that he is quick about responding to e-mails. He also delivered the photos in the time frame promised! read more

Found Joshua on Yelp because I was looking for a photographer to see the crazy vision I had for family Christmas pictures, and man did I find the guy for the job! I'm very happy I chose Joshua to be the photographer for my wedding. Being an artist myself, it was very important for me to find the right person to not only document but to create. I think Joshua did just that. I especially love that while he has a distinct style, he is great adapting to his different subjects and really capturing their individuality. He definitely captured the personality and essence of my husband and myself and the overall wedding day. Out photos are beautiful!!! He was also great at making my husband comfortable (who was not looking forward to being photographed originally) during the shoot. I hire and work with photographers for my job all the time, and I have today Joshua is definitely one of the more professional and talented ones. I only wish to have more big life events so he can photograph them. read more

This guy is no joke! He gets the job done while putting a smile on your face. His videographer counterpart and him made our wedding day stress free and his overall attitude made for a memorable event. His overall professionalism is superb and if I ever need pictures or videos of any kind in the future, he's our guy without a doubt! The pictures he took that day were magical like he really captured picture perfect moments that I truly believe is his special touch that I kept reading about in his reviews. He is the best especially if you are on a budget but want quality results as well. Let me start by stating the obvious JOSH is an amazing photographer! We hired Josh to take our engagement session and wedding photos. He made us feel very comfortable during both shoots. Josh keeps it very professional and fun at the same time. Another thing that we liked was that he constantly communicated with us throughout our wedding planning. Josh doesn't make you feel like your just a client to him, he really takes the time to get to know you and treat you like family. The day of our wedding Josh did a fantastic job coordinating photos with family members and the bridal party making sure we weren't losing sunlight. We got married around the holidays and we're surprised to receive all of our photos before the new year. They all looked amazing!!! He captured all the memorable moments throughout the night. All in all, we would highly recommend Josh to anyone who is interested in having their photos taken. Thanks again Josh ! read more

We got married last weekend- November, 18, 2016. We had Joshua as our photographer and he did such an awesome job! We did our engagement shoot in the late spring/early summer and we made it into a family shoot (we already have 2 kids) and he was great with us and the kids. We have been told that we are photogenic people but we know we aren't great about knowing what to do when it comes to posing in pictures. Joshua helps everyone look natural for photos. The wedding went really well and although we ran behind a little he worked really well with the time that he had (we were racing that sunset). I highly recommend Joshua! First off I did not actually get to use Joshua Killeen's services. I only got to deal with an inquiry into using his services. He was phenomenal! He called the following morning while he was still away after shooting a wedding. He not only called but sent an email following the call. He was extremely knowledgeable on his field and very professional. The most amazing thing was that he was so attentive and concerned with my needs for that day. I was very impressed! I regret that I was unable to book him that day due to being unprepared. It would have been my pleasure to work with him. I don't believe I would have been disappointed. I honestly wish I didn't have to write this review but after so much trouble, I feel it necessary to warn others about this company. As a bride, it's a terrible feeling when your most precious moments are lost and you have no way of reliving those memories - even when you're willing to pay more to get them. We used Josh & his team for our wedding back in Nov, 2019 and since then, have been trying everything possible to get our wedding video footage. While he was pretty great the day of our wedding, our interactions were very inconsistent since that day (and slightly before). While we've tried to be sensitive to that and his constant excuses, it doesn't make up for how we've been treated and what it means to be in a business relationship. The biggest issue, which we believe he got offended by and caused the latter, is that we were so disappointed with the photos returned to us after the wedding. These photos were NOTHING like displayed on his instagram - our most prize moments were blurry, overly grainy, yellow, and mostly very dark. There were a decent amount, maybe 20 photos, that we were okay with however. We had to push to get the raw files of all said photos - we he eventually caved into it. The 2nd part was the 2-3 minute wedding video he was to include in our package. We NEVER received this. It's been over a year now and the last email we received from him he said he couldn't deliver this to us and that he had a sick family member/how dare we bother him. It's literally devastating that someone could be this petty over video footage when a) they are just hanging onto it and b) we OFFERED TO PAY to get this. If someone is complaining about the effects of Covid to their business as much as this, why wouldn't you want to make extra cash? Overall please don't waste your time here and feel free to DM me if you need evidence of mentioned issues. The icing on the cake: today they posted a INSTAGRAM post of our wedding day saying how nice it was to meet/work with us, all FAKE! Literally disgusting. read more
