The review said great stuff about her work, her site had beautiful photos and our cousin shared with us that she was a perfectionist, I was sure I wanted to work with her. I booked her when my baby was 3 weeks old (and as I found out, it wasn't a good idea; my baby was too alert for the photos so if you are still pregnant and reading this, please arrange a booking with Jacqueline ahead of your delivery and she will work with you to get the baby in within the first week). Nevertheless, she was patient with my baby and tried to calm her and soothe her to get the photos done properly. When you walk into the studio, you have to take off your shoes which I appreciate because she would like to keep the studio as clean as possible for the babies. She has a changing station and has numerous outfits, hats, blankets, etc, all the accessories she might need to take beautiful photos, all properly and neatly organized for you to choose from. Jacqueline has great taste so, if you depend on her to come up with beautiful poses for your baby, you won't regret the outcome. She also gives you the option to choose the colors and outfits and works with you to get beautiful photos. Once the photoshoot is done, Jacqueline sends you all the proofs to choose from. After selecting your favorites, she edits them and send you the final pictures. You also get a discount for prints as per her e-mail. The whole process is timely and organized. Review I had a…read morenewborn photo session with my 2 week old baby boy. It was wonderful. Lorena, her assistant, and makeup artist were all extremely patient and kind. My baby was more peaceful during the photos than he had been all week. They had all the tools there to help it go smoothly. It was magic. She showed us pics along the way so we got to see peeks and make adjustments. There was no rushing; we did the session until everyone was happy with what we captured. And as an exhausted new mom, I didn't have to lift a finger. Clothes and makeup and baby were all taken care of. Baby was so calm after the session ended that we had our first lunch out after photos! We were late to our session and instead of creating a calm environment (with a 1 & 2 yr old) she made us feel unwanted and rushed. She told us to let them play for the photo then my one year old almost knocked down the backdrop because of that and then you could tell she got irritated and then proceeded to tell us to make sure to hold them and not let them run around? She wasn't very friendly with them which pissed me off. She had an assistant who did nothing and just stood there staring at us, no smiles, no laughs, no small talk from either of them, no help to try to get the toddlers to smile. My hair is all jacked in photos, she had me sit on the floor with a skin tight dress on, she got irritated because my two year old didn't want to sit on a chair for the photo. It was just an AWFUL experience. I was literally shaking when I left. The turnaround time for the photos take forever, 2 weeks for the ones she chooses and then another 3 weeks for the final edits. And though her contract states WITHIN 3 weeks she doesn't send them until last minute. Or she may just be doing that to me, idk. It's just been a really weird experience with this woman and I got the worst vibes from her. SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I typically don't leave bad reviews but I had to warn people.

I spent $500 and still haven't posted or sent any to family because she made it clear I do not have the rights. To make it worse, she lied to me about what I was signing. At the end of the session my baby was screaming/crying and I had a 45 minute drive home so I was in a rush to clean her up and change her. Barbara told me I had to sign a print release, which is pretty normal, so I signed it. Well when she emailed me the photos a few weeks later she had a very stern message about the NDA I had signed and agreed to and I better not share non-logo pics or post anywhere on social media. I doubt that would even hold up legally since I was in duress when signing and she literally lied to my face about what it actually was. Anyways, don't waste your money here there are plenty of other great photographers in the area.
