I would have agreed with the majority of reviews so far, however, it has recently been cleaned up, repainted, new tables and chairs, repairs to the soft play structure etc. The carpet still looks pretty awful, but I reckon they must have had it cleaned too, because it is not nearly as bad as it was. I was in here recently and it didn't smell like it used to. The staff also are much more pleasant and friendly than previously.
The softplay structure is one of the more fun and entertaining around this area. My 8 year old son and his friends loves it, and would much rather come here than other local softplays because it is so much more fun. We have been coming here on and off since he was just a toddler.
As a parent, this was never my preferred choice of places to visit, because of all the things that have already been said about it (justifiably). But as has also been said, it is great fun for the kids. So many people have commented about it needing cleaned up, that I thought it only fair to say It HAS been cleaned up! I would still make sure my son washes his hands thoroughly before eating and after playing there but I would do this at any softplay centre anyway. Also, I should mention that there is free wi-fi, so parents can catch up on their emails and social networking while waiting. (Just remember to keep an eye on your children!).
People have commented on the food too It's not the best, but again, it HAS improved, and lets face it, you're not going there to have a good meal out, you're gong there to entertain your children on a wet day (usually). There is no obligation to buy food when you are there, and for drinks for the kids, you can buy a big jug of juice and get as many cups as you need much cheaper than buying bottled drinks.
If you have been avoiding this place, maybe it's time to give it another chance. It's not a regularly hang-out for us, but I'm much happier to go there now that the owners have taken the initiative to make improvements. read more
