There is also a nice toddler corner for children from 0-3 and nice screen TVs for the kids to watch paw patrol etc. The ball pit is also a really cute addition! Laser tag was a bit manic with 20 of us running around shooting at each other, decent sized maze with a castle strong hold at one end (top tip.... Wait till the opposite team stays in the castle part thinking they are cool being all team handed and protected on all sides..... Then lob in a Grenade) I cheered up when my team won and I got top score out he 20 players ..... Grenades certainly helps haha It's definitely a decent place for friends and work nights out.

Let me preface this review with the disclaimer that I have never before driven any vehicle other…read morethan a bumper car, so I had no idea what to expect when father dearest suggested that we (he, my sister, mum and I) go go-karting as a family (read battle to the death). Cambuslang Karting is an outdoor track, a little bit out of the way for most denizens of Glasgow. It's not too far from Cambuslang train station, so it can be reached easily enough by public transport, and the big canvas sign makes it easy to spot when you get there. The sessions are in 10 minute blocks, charging at £15 for the first 10 minutes and £10 for each additional 10 minutes. There are also big deals for a Grand Prix or Endurance event, apparently popular with stag parties and corporate events (I can see why!). Following a quick flags and safety presentation, there was much hilarity in getting the right size of overalls - they go up proportionately, so to wear one that fit me across yon bust, I ended up a bit penguin-legged! A good hoik up, and a bit of folding jiggery pokery, and all was well. Balaclavas and helmets and gloves, oh my! All very formula 1! By the time I was all dressed, I felt ready to tear up the track. At first, I was nervous... Then I was going at full speed around the track, cackling like a woman possessed, cursing those who tarried in my path! Mwahahaha! Sadly, my poor wee mammy was too nervous and kept getting stuck at the sides. She was too busy worrying about what everyone else was doing, and only managed two and a half laps the entire session. Bless. :) Father, sister and I, however, were having a race amidst another family of go-karters who obviously go often. The staff print out your lap times at the end of each session, so you can see who was the fastest, and how much faster you had to be to beat someone the next time round. So much fun!!! I was a second slower than my dad, an experienced driver, so I was pleased with my epic performance. It's a pricey hobby, just something you'd do once in a while, but when you start laughing maniacally as you belt up the track, you just know you'll be back for more.

The prices aren't bad, and the track had the perfect layout. They have three activities (plenty to choose), go karting, escape room and laser tag. As I said the service was really good. However, once you get…read morepast the cheap looking entrance hall with it's booths and hordes of snack machines, and zip yourself up in a driving suit or clip on a bulky laser-tag pack, you start feel a lot of childish excitement bubbling up inside you... The laser tag arena has two levels - and loads of wall sections to hide behind. I always find the best spot is up on the top of the fort to shoot all the unsuspecting people below, but then I always come a pitiful 7th or less, so what do I know? It's quite thrillingly exciting in that you're in the dark, there's lots of strobe and flashing lights and smoke machines are blasting fit to burst, so the adrenaline really starts pumping when someone jumps out in front of you! Try to book at the same time as other people, or in a big group - it makes it all the more exciting to have so many opponents. Scotkart is also fantastic - great for birthday parties and big groups to race against your mates - you almost feel like a miniature F1 driver! The only downside is that it's pretty expensive - the kind of thing that's reserved for birthday parties for that very reason. But I'd recommend it - whatever age you are!

First time going i struggled to find this place but once you make it through the roads surrounded…read morewith nothing but trees you will find what looks like a Massive car garage. As you enter you will immediately see the race track and the office. Once you book and pay you need to get changed into appropriate racing gear. You gotta be quick to get the right size of gear because they have limited amounts of suits and not everybody can the size they need. I had to wear an extra large racing suit which was pretty uncomfortable to move around in because medium and large suits were all being used. If you are going in large groups just remember not everyone will be racing at the same time!!!!!!!!!! I was unaware of this and was pretty surprised but it makes sense. Including me their were 17 of us that day and we had to make 2groups to race . Only one group will race at a time. You will be shown a dvd about saftey and driving which lasts 10 mins and the staff will are very strict when it comes to listening and they will definitely not let any one mess about. The driving lasts roughly 10 minutes for 1 race and then you got to come of and let other group drive. Overall it was a good experiment and would recommend this however it is a little big expensive.

So.. Knockhill flutters between 2 and 3 stars. It has an interesting circuit from my perspective…read more(to photograph), but price-wise rips off spectators. 1.20 for a tiny cup of tea? Could almost call it an espresso sized cup. Of tea, mind. That upsets me rather. Toilets are again clean, and there are plenty interesting views for spectators, with the advantage of being able to walk around the entire track, with some spectacular views across the forth back to Edinburgh.

I've had some great days out at Knockhill ever since I was a kid. The track is located just north…read moreof Dunfermline and every year hosts the Touring Cars Championships. I was there a couple of months ago for the touring cars and was invited on to the grid and around the paddock. Had a great day with lots of free corporate hospitality beer. The circuit also hosts public track days where people can take their own cars on to track and test their skills. I did a single seater racing car experience there and had a brilliant day one of the best presents I have ever been given. There is also a good outdoor go kart track for kids or adults.

Shocking is the best wau to describe this place, especially if you have a party. It is so…read moredisorganised, there was no one to tell you where to go or what to do, we had to wait at least 30-45 mins to go into the party room because they hadnt set up yet and there were no special features for the birthday girl like a special seat or a character that comes to sing happy birthday. Party game was musical statues but had to be abandoned because the CD player kept jumping. The party food was simply greasy pizza that hadnt been cut up, chips and crisps. It was so disorganised, unprofessional and utterly shambolic. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

It's a great place to go if your kids are older than 5 I would say...they have no real system for monitoring who is coming and going with kids which to me is a big scary deal. Anyone could leave with a child. There appears to be no policy to ensure that that child is meant to be with the person they are leaving with. Given that my son managed to give us the slip makes the thought of what could happen here not worth bearing. The food is average. And it is kept to a moderate standard of cleanliness. I don't think I'll be going back until the kids are older.
