Gone here few times during my stays in the Fayetteville area and simply love it. I've tried their hibachis and sushi options; both very good. I've tried their filet mignon hibachi. Not many filet medallions come with the order, but there's plenty of vegetables & rice. Sauce isn't overwhelming, vegetables are sautéed well, and rice isn't dry, oily, or salty. The sushi is great too. 4 pieces of tuna sushi for $7.99 when most places charge that amount for 2 pieces and it actually tasted good. You're not getting top quality tuna, but for that price and quantity, it's pretty decent. Service has always been fantastic. The staff were friendly and they actually get your order out fairly quickly. Plenty of dining space and it's usually open with plenty of seating for dine in. Highly recommend this place! read more

The teriyaki chicken or tofu are delicious and they have extra sauce up at the front. Their sushi is a little pricey (what isn't these days) but it is fresh and flavorful! The first meal I had here was soba noodles with shrimp and it was excellent. The shrimp were grilled and the noodles had enough seasoning that made them really good. I really liked this meal. The second meal was a bento box and it was not very good. The fried rice was dry and not seasoned very well. If the bento box was my first meal I would not have come back. read more

Eh, not the best habachi I've had. I've only eaten here once and am considering trying more of their menu another time, but I can say I wasn't super impressed with their habachi. Portion was good and for the price, it was definitely fair, but lacked in flavor. Fried rice was definitely plain and I'm not sure they even seasoned the meat or vegetables. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night. Otherwise, the establishment seems very clean and welcoming. Christmas decor was still out and added to the atmosphere. I fell in love with this place while living in Raeford & now that I've moved, I'm happy to make the 40+ minute drive to visit again and again! Hit and miss. Sometimes it's outstanding and comparable to the average 3 star restaurant in Las Vegas. Other times it's a sad 3 stars like from here in NC. Save for the veggie tempura and white sauce which is always a smash. I'm guessing it depends on who's working . Their hibachi doesn't seem to be seasoned all that much. The only way I can justify the cost to value is the virtually unlimited to go sauces. They have to be losing money on that. I ordered a takeout order from here tonight. I got an order of the fried gyoza, steak hibachi no veggies extra rice, and an onion soup. The only reason I gave two stars was because of their fried gyoza and the sauce that came with it. It was so good. But the rest was awful, I took like two bites and threw it all away. The soup didn't hardly have any flavor. It tasted like some water with a beef bouillon cube dissolved in it. The steak didn't look like it had been cooked on a flat top it was gray and spongey and the rice had no flavor either. I would definitely go back for more gyoza but that's it. read more

The first 2 times I left and bragged about my meal, leading to many of my friends eating there. This place is good. Good quality food, hot and fresh every time. It's not overly seasoned and not covered in sauce. What I LOVE about this place is that it has something for everyone in my family and it's not too unhealthy. We all get a habachi plate which consists of your choice of protein, sautéed veggies and rice. This place has a tofu habachi plate! They tell me that they do not use fish sauce or oyster sauce either so the vegetarian dish here is genuinely vegetarian. I know many people will value this! I usually only go to miyabi jr express . But wanted to try another spot . It was amazing. ! Actually a tad better than miyabi jr in my opinion. We dined inside and the food was so good! Hot and fresh! Wait time was a tad longer. But I actually don't mind that because I know my food is being made fresh and not rushed out . I am quite upset with this restaurant. I placed a to-do order for Chicken Soba wanting Teriyaki chicken instead of the regular chicken offered. My order gets home.. and is not Teriyaki. I placed a very polite call and spoke to Arleen and since I live far away, I would return tomorrow with the food. All was settled after she spoke to her boss. Not 10 minutes goes by, and I receive a phone call from Arleen telling me I was wrong... that the chef says he remembers putting teriyaki sauce on my order. I explained that he was wrong and was promptly told that I was wrong. I am floored that this business would tell me I don't know what food I ordered and what food I received and argue with me over it. My receipt stated what I wanted. I wanted to get some sushi but my normal spot is across town, so I thought I'd give it a shot! Ordered the miso soup, tuna and salmon nigiri and a fried shrimp roll! The miso soup was some of the worst in town if not the worst I've ever had! Undeterred I thought the sushi might make up for this, it barely held its own! Quality of the fish is not BAD but if you're looking for sushi, I'd venture to one of the many other places in town before stopping here!
