Pretty solid spot for a casual ramen + sushi fix for Fayetteville! The food was really good, everything came out fresh, and the service was super quick. The vibe is laid-back and perfect for a casual dinner or early lunch. Aside from ramen and sushi, You can find handroll, don buris, & poke bowls here. It does get pretty busy during the 12p lunch crowd on the weekdays, but still a good go-to when you're craving Japanese food. Also, worth checking out their other location: Gotham Ramen Bar on Raeford. read more

Came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff was very attentive and took good care of us. I have tried lots of sushi spots in the area and this place really hit the spot. The sushi was freshly made and had a sweet touch to them, which I personally enjoyed. As for the ramen, it was full of flavor and tasted amazing. I will 100% come back, especially for their sushi! The restaurant looked clean but the table we sat at was sticky, causing our napkin to get stuck. read more

Once again, on another day, after another game, we ventured over to GB and had a yet another amazing meal, tread lightly if you had a 2+ hour drive afterwards this place can give you the itis(IYKYK)! This place does not miss. Gohan Bistro customer service is top tier (which I value over food). The waitress this time around made us feel like we were the only ones in the establishment, all while handling quite a few customers. The ambiance same as before laid back date day/night or just getting out and want to grab a bite of eat. Now last time i ordered a special roll and couldn't remember the name and forgot to get the picture! I did not this time in fact the Rill is call the.... Rattle Snake roll! No avocado, add jalapeno and it was delish! We also had the California Roll, kids teriyaki, pork ramen add jalapeno(I like spicy food!) and the fried chicken (Karaage). read more

It is certainly NOT Huntington Beach, California Tonkotsu Miso Ramen but it was (Okay) for Fayetteville. Pricey Yes, Missing some ingredients...yes, Smaller portion...yes ...but overall the taste was the same. Customer service was great. I know its not polite to top in Japanese restaurants but they did not look Japanese to me...may be one. Lol. I do tip. Thank You. read more

MUSHROOM LOVERS RAMEN Went to go have a good ramen lunch! Very tasty, I added pork slices to my ramen and I heavily enjoyed how they sliced and cooked their pork. The veggies were perfect and the noodles tasted perfectly cooked. I got the miso base for the soup and definitely was delicious. Service was very nice and we had a sweet waitress that attended to our accommodations perfectly! Staff excelled! The ambience was super cute too. Cozy with a Japanese flare to it. I appreciate that the menu was not confusing and was decent priced. Great ramen I highly recommend to go here! read more

been wanting to check this place out, and it did not disappoint! the gyoza were solid, and the sushi was amazing. the hand rolls were about $6 each, and honestly, i could've eaten a ton of them. the sushi roll had a serious kick--probably a little too much for me with the sriracha, jalapeño, and spicy tuna all in one. but overall, the food was great, and i'm definitely coming back to try their ramen. the service was great, super friendly and attentive. the place is small but has a cozy vibe, which made the whole experience even better. and the fried cheesecake ice cream was the perfect way to end the meal. read more

The atmosphere was really nice, the food was good and the customer service was good. Charlotte didn't have the best customer service, she walked past us several times without asking if we were ready to order or if needed anything but Bree was great! She checked on us several times, made suggestions and she was pleasant to speak with. read more

The most authentic Japanese ramen I've had in Fayetteville. A bit on the pricey side and the area the restaurant located is kinda sketchy. I've been to here a good amount of time and I've seen the cop with all their lights on surrounding the apartment complex across the street more times than I could count. You'll even hear shots popping off as well if you visit here enough. Yes, their food is worth it! If you're new to Fayetteville I would sincerely tell you to have your order from this place delivered through grubhub or DoorDash. read more

The shrimp killer roll and Chashu pork poke bowl are my go-to. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is wonderful!

There food is amazing, I tried the Alaskan Roll, omg it was delicious and the service is beyond nice, they are so kind and actually care. Always having a very mellow town like they aren't in a rush, they're very aware and always filling up our waters. Very respectful. 5 stars deserved, I will be going back tomorrow. read more

Let me start by saying the Gyoza was AMAZING!! I really love the setup of this place. The atmosphere is so cute! I'm not a ramen connoisseur though I have eaten a variety of these soups from NY down the east coast to FL and I will say, i am not a fan of their ramen. It was my first time here and i just decided to try a random, but simple flavor. The broth tasted different;can't put my finger on it.... I can say the food was fresh because they cook it in the front. I just wasn't a fan of the broth. BUT, I am willing to come back in and try something different. Also, I got the melon milk tea and it was soooo sweet, it tasted like a LAFFY TAFFY on 10! I'm a sugar addict so I love anything extra sweet but there was no way anyone could drink this. I ended up drinking as much as I could and tossing the rest. I took my dinner to go but I wish they would separate the ingredients so everything doesn't swell on the ride home (I only drove about 7 minutes and everything was mushy). I wouldn't get the melon milk tea again nor that flavor of soup but I'm willing to give them another chance. read more

Gohan Bistro has tasty food! My friend ordered the gyoza (dumplings) and I dipped mine in soy sauce that some green onions in it. It was lightly fried and very good. I ordered the sesame chicken poke bowl with rice (pictured) and it had slices of avocado and corn with some garnish in it. I ate mine with chopsticks, and I was the last one to finish my meal. . . haha. . . .that's the first time for me since I generally eat quickly. And it was filling! read more

It's a pretty cool place. The ramen was good. The broth was very tasty and flavorful. They can use a bit more garnish just to make the bowls look prettier. People love taking pics of food nowadays. It helps with marketing too. read more

I've heard about this place for years for being so good.. so today we decided to finally check it out. I would probably say this was the worst Tonkotsu Ramen I have ever had. No real flavor at all unless you count salt as a flavor. My partner had the Salmon Don with old browned avocado on top and was not impressed by it at all. We also shared the Seared Tuna Roll. It was nothing special. The wasabi was the weakest wasabi I have ever been had. The service was okay not great just okay. Our server gave us just weird energy as if we did something. The restaurant looked okay but nothing fancy. I think it would have been nice to have a sign saying please wait to be seated or something like that. We felt a little awkward when we first walked in and not sure if we order at the counter first or what. And honestly over all way over priced. read more

In a quiet and unassuming strip mall - Gohan Bistro is consistently delivering solid Poke bowls, Sushi, Donburi and Ramen.. never a bad meal, great customer service all in a clean and well decorated environment. IThe menu has plenty of options to choose from, the staff ensure you are taken care of and have that perfect balance of attentive yet not bothering and friendly. 've had the Poke and Donburi both were delicious with great flavor stand cooked perfectly. This has quickly become a "go to" place for Ramen and Poke, when we are in the need for seafood or just something that feels like simple home cooking - yet knowing it's not. read more

After experimenting with different things on the menu, I'd like to change my review. Ramen is definitely good if you find the right combination you really like. I would definitely recommend to try experimenting with different toppings on different a types of ramen to find one that suits your taste. Fair warning, it'll cost a bit to add toppings so make sure you're adding things you enjoy. Overall though, ramen is pretty good! read more

Great new restaurant in Fayetteville! Their ramen is very flavorful, they have two flavors, Miso Spicy and Paitan (sp?). Then they have some special bowls that add things like pork belly and chicken. I tried the spicy pork belly ramen, it had corn, sprouts, fresh garlic, siracha and half a Soya egg. So good. We also tried a sushi burrito, excellent choice with Tuna and much larger than other sushi burritos... Probably half the size of Chipotle. I don't recommend the honey dew bubble tea. It's made from powder. It was very sweet. I will be back for sure! read more

Best service ever! The workers are always welcoming and super helpful. On top of that the food and atmosphere is superb. It is very aesthetically pleasing little restaurant and food. The prices are fair for the most part. I personally highly recommend any of their ramen and teriyaki chicken bowl. I've already been back 3 times in less than a 2 week period. If you are looking for a place that is cute, pretty food, tasty food, good service and not mainstream, this is the place. read more

Customer service was fair.... My husband I met here for dinner and they weren't busy. We ordered our food and we waited 30 mins. After waiting and not hearing from our server, we drew her attention and asked her how much longer would it be. She stated that they are having issues in the kitchen and she will check up on our ramen. She came back approximately 3 min later to say that it would be a little longer, and right after she said that our food was ready. Once we got our food, we only saw her one more time after to see how we were doing. We needed refills and we didn't see her around. She was friendly and courteous however the lack of communication with the kitchen is what through her off with how long our food would take. Location was very clean and have a great atmosphere and set up! read more

I didn't want to review, in hopes of keeping it a secret but that's not right so here we go. Pull up, doesn't appear like much. I like that. Food at places like this are usually good. Greeted by a smiling face and smells, good smells. It is small in the inside but cute and really clean. Can't remember my server by name but she was blonde and kind of tall with glasses. Cool. Nice. Prompt. Food, so good. Everything hot and fresh. Portions match price. Get the Las Vegas roll! Promise you won't regret it. Got the spicy pork ramen. We all enjoyed it! I wasn't expecting much from a ramen shop in North Carolina but, this one was pretty good. The service was great, our server Madison took amazing care of us. We ordered a bunch of apps and sushi and those were all really good. I have only one complaint and that was the corn and the mushrooms in my ramen. They both come directly from a can and you can tell. The corn was more tolerable than the mushrooms but those two things took this place from 5 to 4 stars. My suggestion would be to simply sautee the corn with some butter and a little bit of salt and the mushrooms can be done the same maybe with a bit of soy sauce. Overall I was please with most everything, I hope to come back and try again. read more
