Mega Furniture is located in the outdoor Happy Valley Towne Center shopping area. The store was huge and I didn't see any staff or people in there. It was a little spooky. After walking about, I saw a staff person from afar. I didn't need help but thought it was odd that no staff were up near the front of the store. Dad and I came for shopping furniture for my new place, and dad pointed out that it was super empty which was true..so potentially a troubling sign, though I didn't see it that way. Let it be known that I had no issue till my wife and I found out there was no remote or adjustable frame after the installers left. So yes I checked a box saying no further contact at one time, but that was before we had an issue. So after several days of trying to get ahold of customer service with no contact the store manager got ahold of me and set me straight about the mattress price. We would've paid around $2900 or $3800 total with both the mattress and adjustable frame my wife and I thought was included in the $1300 price. It would've been best if they had 2 big price tags.. 1 for the mattress and 1 for the price "as shown/displayed". I never knew a mattress alone could cost more than around $800. We were going to choose a $700, also Posturepedic mattress, but the $1300 one came with an adjustable frame!.. or so we thought. It was nice to save on the bedroom furniture, and it was a nice set so guess we made up for the mattress price there. Lorenzo was helpful with some furniture information for my wife and I. Somehow my credit card was charged the non-financed down payment of $1300 instead of my wife's debit card, so I had to go out of my way to transfer money around to set things straight. My credit card is with a credit union and the savings I had to pull from is with a major bank so it definitely wasn't quick or entertaining. All in all, we're happy with our bed set. We're just not happy about the misleading mattress display on the store floor and the fact that the customer service department never contacted me. Thank you. read more

Buyer be warned! Shame on Mega Furniture store and Barb! I purchased a very expensive couch over Black Friday. I was not going to buy the couch because it was too big for my living room. Barb, the manager at the Happy valley store, told me that I could simply remove one of the recliners no problem so that it would work for my living room. She told me this couch was amazing quality and worth every penny. All lies! On my first delivery on December 7th the couch wasn't fitting together. I immediately told the delivery drivers, that I did not want to accept the couch. I got on the phone with somebody at the warehouse who assured me they would send me two more pieces so that it would fit properly. Leaving the couch at my house. I immediately called Barb and told her. On December 19th they came out for a 2nd time and brought me two more pieces. It still didn't fit together. They were the same as the other 2. I called Barb, she sent a "tech" a specialist to come back to my home to look at the couch on Dec 30th. He told me that because a piece was removed it would not fit together properly no matter how many times they swap it. I immediately called Barb and told her to come get the couch and I want my money back. She told me there were no returns even though the contract that I signed is voided because of a material breach on their end. She also told me that the tech was incorrect even though he was the specialist she told me that the pieces are individual and they all fit together. She disregarded my request to come get the couch instead sent somebody out to my house AGAIN for a fourth time on January 6th with you guessed it, 2 more pieces. This is where my story gets really fun. They deliver the recliner on the end and the centerpiece as they've done two times before. Not only does it not fit together or line up in the back, but the new recliner that they sent me is not even the same material as the other recliner on the other end of the couch. It is cheap material, looks and feels like foam. The stitching is not stitched together properly and can feel the wood and when you recline it, it doesn't lay flat like the other recliner. It puffs up. Also while this is going on for the last month, the recliner that came with the original delivery is starting to show signs of wear on the cushion. I am the only one who has Sat of it. So now I have multiple issues and Barb cannot be reached by phone. I try to find a corporate number but it's the same number for their warehouse and the same person answers every time. I go back down to the store in person and Barb tells me to send her an email with all the pictures and she'll see what she could do. I do that immediately, a week goes by no response. Another week goes by and she tells me that Mega Furniture stands by their merchandise and declines any further responsibility. Say what!?? I hire an attorney and they send a demand letter. She acknowledges that she read it and then doesn't respond to my demands for a refund and to come take the couch away from my house. This was a $3200 couch. This is not a $1000 couch from Big Lots.. Because I am a good person, I refrained from posting negative reviews in hopes that Mega Furniture and Barb would make things right. They chose not to, and I never want anyone to experience the same misfortune as myself. Now I have to spend more money to go to small claims court, attorney fees etc and I'm stuck with a horribly made couch that they misrepresented at the store. Not to mention the four times that I needed to be at home for them to come to my house and never fix the issue. All durning the holidays at that. In the meantime, payments are coming off of my credit card for this couch for the last 3 months. I do not recommend anyone waste their time and money as I did. It has caused me nothing but grief. They do not have integrity and say they stand by their merchandise. I find it interesting that on their Facebook page they state " we are not happy, unless the customers happy" and that they " back every sale with the best customer service in the industry." read more

Everything had a problem...the desk chair was missing wheels, the desk was the display model instead of new as contracted, the glass 40x60 prints which were pick up only not delivery we're not ready the day promised. when we picked them up the next day and opened the box there were several chips. possibly why we had to sign off without inspection that it was recieved in good condition without proof. We purchased a $3000 dollar couch and after it was delivered we discovered that one of the foot pads had the head of a nail sticking out and dug up our brand new hardwood flooring.After contacting Julie in customer service and sending her multiple pictures she sent some one out to replace the pad.Since then, I have sent her multiple e mails wanting to have them repair my new flooring and I have not gotten any response what so ever.The only reason that I gave them one star was I had no choice. read more

I finally talked to the manager and he said he needed the area manager's approval and he would get back to me, again zero followup. My husband, daughter and I went in to look around to get ideas on what furniture we would like for our new home. We were greeted by Mercedes. She introduced herself and I let her know that would like to just browse and not ready to buy quite yet but wanted to look. She came to check on us and asked how we were doing. I told Mercedes that the bedroom set we were standing near was my favorite but was worried about the flaws/issues I saw. She says LIKE WHAT!?!? I went to show her the top of the dresser was peeling. Like it was covered with paper. I said I was concerned about that. She went off on me, I mean totally flipped her lid. Told me no that this was actually made very well and their best piece. She proceeded to open the top drawer and show the craftsmanship of the drawer and tell me to look by saying "LOOK at it!!!! LOOK at it!!!! LOOK" Then told me to feel underneath by saying FEEL IT, FEEL IT!!! I said I can see it, she then said "you can see underneath, really?!?!" I turned to look at my daughter and husband in disbelief that she is so angry and acting so strange. My husband shook his head at me like no this lady is going crazy and I smiled. She said I see you smiling. What are you smiling for?!?! She slams the dresser drawer. Then I said that the bed was also cracking and showed her and showed her that it would fall through the frame if it cracked anymore. She said this bed has also been on display for a very long time. (I guess you should only use your bed for a very short time if you buy from them.) I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could as she was clearly super upset with my concerns of the product. We went looking for a box spring and recliners and at the time, had a semi pleasurable experience with the sales person Miriam. We ended up looking at a sectional since they were limited on desirable recliners. I measured the sectional, went home and discovered the sectional was much too large. We went back the next day to pick up the box spring and told Miriam the sectional would not work. Wow, after advising that we were only purchasing the box spring she replied, "I could slap you in the face right now." Not a big deal, however they were going to charge us another delivery fee for the piece they had on bad order. Lols, um, no. The manager refused to remove the 2nd delivery charge so we chose to walk away. The sales lady caught us at the entrance as the manager 'found a way to avoid the 2nd delivery charge'. Love seat arrived broken. The return process was easy enough and fast. However now the couch stitching is coming apart, 5 days after purchase. I bought a bed from Mega (Happy Valley, Phoenix) on 08/18/2022. When they delivered the bed, the people who were to pick up the old bed have not arrived. I asked Mega to wait a few minutes, but by the time I turned around, they were gone. They lift the bed & box in the garage. I called Maga and of course they wanted me to wait a week or two before they can return. it would be another $110,00. The bed was picked up by Got Junk Co. I was lucky to have them put the new bed together. I paid $80.00. Mega called again, but it was too late....I asked Mega for a refund, but that was not going to happen! We were denied service for not wearing a diaper on our face. So, we called and spoke to the manager who said that we do NOt have to wear a face diaper and to drive all the way back there. So we did. Apparently it was meant to be because I went in again the other day and the same sales associate greeted me and remembered me clearly. I have always had a relatively poor experience with some of the larger furniture stores because of pushy salesmen and high prices but Mega Furniture was not like that. The store is very nice and there is a great selection of couches (didn't get a chance to browse for anything else). We were looking for a brown leather sectional and there were at least eight different ones to look at! The store itself is extremely clean and inviting. The salesman we dealt with, Scott, was very informative and not too pushy. He gave us a good amount of space to browse the store but was never far when we had questions. The store had the couch we wanted in stock and the price was very reasonable compared to other stores we've looked at. It will be delivered and installed on Wednesday for an extra $100. The store's protection plan actually sounds awesome but we opted out. Definitely worth considering for people with kids, animals or who like to entertain. The ware house and customer service has very poor communication skills with the purchaser. spent almost 20k on a full house furnishing and get the run around. Not a good look. delivered 2 sets of bunk beds and a single and only had orders to set up the twin and one bunk bed, and they left after setting up the twin only. and we paid for the delivery and the assembly. my Yelp review from the day in the store still stands as cliff was great but the delivery was a HORRIBlE experience, not to mention the scuffs on my brand new flooring from the dragging of the new dining table they dropped off too. also- when calling to customer service at the warehouse i asked for the email to send formal complaints and was given a conflicting email address from what is given on the actual invoices. there is a 48 time frame to call on any delivered orders. I called multiple times on the same day within 2 hours of delivery and never received a call back to my voicemail nor could i get through to anyone until today. read more

I was also sold a useless 5 year warranty that was supposed to cover repairs or replacement if needed. My claim was denied. I'm waiting for furniture that I ordered in February. I was told that I may have to wait a few extra weeks but now I'm getting impatient. All of this can be worked out I hope . One bigger problem I have was being greeted by the annoying and sarcastic tone of their employee Mercedes. I walked in and she told me to " put a smile on". I responded " I would if you guys would send the furniture I ordered a few months back, to which she replied " blame the company not me". Everyone in the back office was very helpful and friendly but this rude ass employee Mercedes can go F herself.
