The staff member who helped me was very friendly and gave me a quick tour before I joined. In the initial walkthrough it appeared to have everything I needed to get in my daily workout. I don't find it overly crowded at the times I go, but I would say that some of the equipment felt a little cheaper than other gyms I have been to. Yes, it does the job.

Rounding up to a four (probably would say 3.5)…read more I was surprised to find that there aren't a ton of gyms in the Highlands/Lower Highlands area. This is one of the few spots we found that isn't class based - though they do offer HIIT and Yoga throughout the week. The gym itself has pretty much all the equipment you would need, the biggest detractor is that it's a quite small space. There's not a ton of open workout space, especially if a class is in session. But they have squished a lot of equipment into the space. So when they're busy it can feel like you're on top of one another. Pretty much only have one set of heavier free weights, so you might end up waiting. Everything is well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly and the ownership seems to be making updates and keeping the place maintained. Locker rooms are clean. They have garage windows so on hotter days those get rolled up which is nice. There's a small parking lot in the back and some street parking.

Many times my watch shows a decibel level of 97+ decibels. That is not healthy. The cafe there has a motto that says, "if it's here it's healthy". That is not true with the classes because the music is so loud it will damage your hearing and nobody wants that. And nobody wants the instructor to be yelling constantly. That is not motivating. This happens in more than one class with more than one instructor. Not sure what they are thinking.

I haven't been playing USTA tennis in Colorado for very long, but we recently played one of the tennis teams from LT Centennial. One of the things I like most about Colorado is the people and the laid-back and friendly attitudes. The LT team we played against was rude, condescending, lacked ethics, had a superiority complex and frankly were the most unpleasant group of women I have ever been around in the tennis community. I'm surprised that management at LT Centennial isn't trying to change the culture when it comes to their facility, but I'm sure that eventually they'll see it in their bottom line. USTA Ladies, be better.
