Made a new patient appt March 5th for Tuesday May 25th. Was called Mondat May 24th to reschedule my appt for June 17th. Told her that rescheduling it was ok and can do any day except Thursdays, I absolutely cant do Thursdays. She said Dr changed her schedule and is only working Thursdays. NEVER EVER CONSIDER THIS DOCTOR! Mee S Kim is the most irresponsible doctor. My friend had a surgery and then had complications- she has non-stop bleeding ! First, it was impossible to get appointment, finally after demands she got an appointment, but the doctor didn't even examine her. The doctor only looked through her chart notes and claimed that " I did what I had to do as surgery, I AM NOT GOD, you may have other issues" Can you believe, a doctor makes such comment WITHOUT EVEN EXAMINING her post-surgery patient, who surely knew she was going to see the doctor for bleeding not God ! DO NOT GO HERE FOR CARE. As a medical professional you should not only be knowledable in your field but also a professional AND have good bed side manner. She had zero bed side manner and treated me like some science project. This office and my pcp office i went through were negligent of sending paper work to one another and took no responsibility in taking ownership for wasting my time and energy coming there. No one apologized and just blamed the other office. Because of this the doctor humilated me as you hear her telling her staff "SHE NEED TO GO! SHE NEED TO GO! SHE CANT OCCUPY THE SPACE LIKE THAT" she needs to find her paper work on her own" repeatedly...the doctor took no time to explain anything to me and let her nurses do damage control. She has zero skills in articulating herself to her clients and seems to not want to. It seems like she took on this profession for the money and not interest in the field. I felt zero compassion about what my diagnosis was. I felt absolutely humilated and cried. I waited months for this appointment only to be treated like that... Her office is very messy so that should tell you even more about how she conducts her practice. I will not be coming back to this poor excuse of a "doctor". Dr. Kim is my Mom's gynecologist. She scheduled a surgery this morning, hospital called to discuss a matter with the doctor right before the surgery and the doctor said. "She just landed from Korea", she won't be able to make it to the surgery. I don't think I have much else to say how frustrated and disappointed I am right now. Not sure if my review here really matters much, I will file a written complain about this to each possible place where I can file a report. Extremely annoyed. Patients need to be very careful and read all paperwork prior to signing when you go see a doctor. This office wanted me to sign away legal rights and agree to arbitration in the event that I wanted to sue the doctor for malpractice. So upon my arrival to my appointment, after reading this material I let the receptionist know I could not sign it. She proceeded to tell me that I could not be seen. Really? You are telling me now. In the future, tell patients when they are scheduling their appointments what it is you want them to agree to if making an appointment with your office. Your office has successfully wasted an hour of my time, your time and the doctor's time. You should email these documents to your patience and tell them to review them prior to their appointment so that they may call you with any concerns. Additionally, there was another form of which you agreed to pay more fees for various other issues such as being late or missing your appointment. Doctors offices are notorious for seeing patients late. In fact, there's a patient here scheduled for 10:15. Her appointment time has come and gone, is this doctor prepared to pay her a fee for being late to provide her her appointment? I was her patient by referral of my doctor. She is very rude, unprofessional and does not let you ask any questions. First of all, she gives an appointment and she is not even in her office at that time- so be ready to wait for hours until she comes back, and no apologies from her for your lost time. Every time I needed to ask her a question, she interrupted me saying that I need to take another appointment with her. This is the worst OBG-YN I ever had . Her staff is rude and very unprofessional. They don't to know what they are doing. I was going to be a new patient but after how I was treated , I walked out . I had to call my insurance company and make a formal complaint. She was rude , unkind , unprofessional . I was called to old to have a baby , am only 35. My friend went to this doctor for a second opinion pap due to bleeding in between periods when she was there doctor was rude to her office looked really dirty . After getting results they claimed she has hpv but another doctor she went to 2weeks prior stated she was clean . She said when she was in office she heard that alot of females going there had hpv detected . I think this doctors some how spreading hpv to females please be aware my friend now cant get rid of this then they offered vaccine she got worse . Dr. Kim and her staff were absolutely amazing during the nine months of my pregnancy providing the best patient experience possible. Dr. Kim was the one who delivered my baby and let me tell you she and her team were amazing in the delivery room. She made me and my husband comfortable and kept him involved in the birth process. I have been seeing dr. Kim 4 over 5 years she has always been kind considerate and does her best to make you feel comfortable she has even perform surgery on me and done biopsy all her employees are very kind the receptionist is sweet and Jackie who takes you in and take your blood pressure and your weight and also does the appointment is also very kind I feel very comfortable going to dr. Kim and I recommend her as I have been with her for years and have always been satisfied with my care... I left a tip about parking but I will also leave it here in my review there is a parking lot but it is pay you get a ticket and you can pay anywhere from I guess the dollar to $8 and they do not validate parking from what I understand none of the doctors that operate in that building validate there is a pharmacy in the building and there is an ATM in the pharmacy if you don't want to park and pay then I suggest the nearest parking is a long block away so go early with time and find a parking around the block and take a little walk read more

Dr. Kim was the surgeon assigned to perform my laparotomy for the dermoid cyst in my ovary. Her office is right next to the valley Presbyterian hospital. She was very professional when she came to me when I was in the ER. She would check in briefly to see how I was doing while I was recovering. She answered my questions and gave me the feeling that she had done this procedure many times before. However, this was my first medical experience ever! I had never been admitted to a hospital in my life therefore I was unsure of what my life would be like after the surgery, in regards to hospital bills and follow ups on my incision. I did have many appointments after the surgery with dr. Kim to check on my incision. She made my incision less invasive as possible so that I would be able to have a thinner scar than usual which is nice because even though I didnt care as much about the scar at the moment, as much as my overall health, it was nice that she thought of me as a person and not just another patient. However my health insurance does not cover her office. Her office is contracted with Preferred IPA or Hispanic IPA, so I have to pay or change my medical group. She is pretty busy and when going to my appointment, it seems like the average wait time is 30-45 mins to see her and she is quick to attend you when you do get to see you. Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I had to see her since she was the one that performed the surgery on me. read more

If only I could give 0 stars. That one star is an absolute waste on this office and their so-called "doctor". My mom and I had the absolute worst experience. My mom was in and out of emergency rooms for over a month because she needed immediate help. She was constantly losing A LOT of blood and the gynecologist refused to see her and told her to just keep going back to the ER to get blood transfusions until her appointment. She gave her a FALSE diagnosis and scheduled her for a BS procedure just to get us out of her hair. Mind you, she did not even do a PELVIC EXAM. At this point my mom was practically bleeding out. I was absolutely fed up and took her to yet another hospital room where she was immediately seen by the on-call emergency doctors & gynecologists there. The gynecologist there was able to figure out and pinpoint exactly what was going on with my mom in only a few hours and scheduled her for an emergency surgery right that night. I am still in shock at the lack of professionalism and indecency that we were shown at Mee Sook Kim's office. Absolute horrible place. I would not waste my time here if I were you. First of all, the location is not great, and you don't want to be in the area anytime past 4pm. Second, let me explain my experience with Dr.Kim, upon my initial appointment, I did not feel as though I was her patient, I felt that I was just another young girl walking through the door, when it came to some of the issues I had that needed to be addressed by further testing, she turned me away and said come back in 6 months however meanwhile do a routine utrasound. I went back to my family practitioner and he was shocked by her "recommendations." Anyways I proceeded to do my testing and after all the results were sent to her office I waited one week for her to give me a call. Well that never happened. I called and the receptionist said she is "backed up" and will call me soon. So i waited again and then called and the receptionist said she is out of town, which the Dr seems to be a lot. In normal medicine, there is the practice of patient care, the responsibility of the health practitioner to "care" for her patients. A - I should not have had to call to discuss results with her, it was HER responsibility to call me, B - After the second time I called the office she still DID NOT call me back. Her medical practice/license should be examined by the board and I will file a claim. I'm pretty sure the doctor did not even review my results at all.
