I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Payman Joseph and everyone at Van Nuys Women's Care Clinic. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, they have made me feel so comfortable, cared for, and genuinely supported every step of the way. Pregnancy can be stressful and emotional, especially as a first-time mom, but Dr. Joseph and his entire staff have made this experience such a positive one for me. Dr. Joseph is incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed, and he explains everything so clearly. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and wants them to feel safe and confident throughout their pregnancy journey. Every appointment leaves me feeling reassured and excited instead of nervous. The staff here is also absolutely amazing. The front desk girls are always so sweet, welcoming, and helpful every single time I come in. They make scheduling appointments easy, they're always friendly on the phone, and they create such a warm environment the second you walk through the door. It really makes such a difference when you're pregnant and going to so many appointments. I also have to give a special shoutout to Valerie, the ultrasound tech. She is seriously the best! She is so gentle, patient, and caring during every ultrasound appointment, and she always manages to get the cutest pictures of my baby boy. Those ultrasound photos mean so much to me and my family, and she makes every visit such a special experience. Finding out I'm having a boy has been one of the happiest moments of my life, and Valerie always makes seeing him on the screen feel even more exciting and emotional. Another thing I really appreciate is how easy they make everything, including blood draws. Normally that can be stressful or uncomfortable, but the process here is always quick, smooth, and organized. Everyone is professional and efficient while still being warm and caring. Overall, I truly feel lucky to have found Dr. Joseph and this clinic during such an important time in my life. The level of care, kindness, and professionalism from every single person in the office is exceptional. I've been going to this women's clinic for a long time and I'm really satisfied with their service. I've gone to other places (recently I had a terrible experience at a different clinic) but keep coming back to this one!! I had my prenatal care for my 1st daughter here and everything went great! The girls are all really nice, they make you feel comfortable and they're very informative. Nicole (the nurse practitioner) is the best!! Also their ultrasound tech (I'm not sure what her name is) is really friendly and nice. The only thing I thought was weird with my prenatal care was that I never got to meet the actual doctor, all my care was provided by Nicole, which I didn't mind because like I said she's super nice and knows what she's doing. She would always answer all my questions and concerns with very detailed information. Also, there is times where I've come in and its super busy, but I understand its hard to find a clinic you like so I can see why people keep coming back. What an unpleasant experience. They made an appointment for me and made me go there, then they said some emergency has happened and Dr. Had to leave the office. They rescheduled me for 2 days after and on the same day that my appointment was on, they called me informing me that they can't see me because of my insurance. I was here for about 45 minutes today from the time that they opened the doors at 9am... first red flag was when I walked in (I was the first patient to enter the building) and the front desk didn't acknowledge or even make eye contact with me. I had an appointment for an abortion, but after witnessing the terrible customer service skills of the women at the front desk I changed my mind and let them know I didn't want to follow through with my appointment. I mean, honestly - who gets an attitude with a patient for asking why I was given the option for a pregnancy test through urine ONLY after I ask to use the restroom, 40 minutes after I'd already checked in and had been waiting for my name to be called. I was just curious. I don't know anything about nursing or whatever these crabby womens' job titles are, but I know that one of the easiest parts of their job includes being kind... My intuition told me that this place probably gives around 1/4 of a shit about their patients, so I left. Who the heck wants to get medical care from a small facility with a bratty staff team? I called ahead and let them know that I was suspecting an ectopic pregnancy because of the pain i was having on one side so early in my pregnancy. I also let them know that I would be okay with paying in cash because my insurance through my work would kick in the next month. I was just so desperate because I really felt like this was an ectopic pregnancy. So I go in, they give me a pregnancy test which comes out positive. I get an ultrasound and she tells me that i do have a baby in the uterus. I ask again about an ectopic pregnancy and she says no. I briefly talk to the doctor and I told him, I was just here to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. He tells me yeah, its common to have pain because my body is getting ready to have a baby. Makes sense. I pay $360 out of pocket. Fast forward 2 weeks and I am feeling faint, vomiting, and then pain like ive never felt before. SURPRISE. I had a heterotopic pregnancy, which means i DID have an ectopic. It burst and i had to have emergency surgery. At the ER, they asked me multiple times what kind of clinic I went to because I did let them know I suspected it early. All throughout my visit, I made it very clear that I wanted to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. I understand that heterotopic pregnancies are rare, BUT I TOLD YOU. Listen to your patients! No one listened to what I was saying and they completely missed it. Of course after they told me I was okay, I thought the pain was normal and was suffering another unnecessary two weeks. I came here for my pregnancy check up since it's in the area. As a first timer, I was surprised by the neatness of this facility. I didn't have to wait that long and their staff accomodated me with a smile. I got seen right away by the nurse practitioner. To top that off they were very thorough with paperworks and the nextdoor pharmacy was superfast in delivering the medicine in a matter of minutes. They also have a huge parking lot and the waiting area is very roomy. Overall, I would highly recommend this clinic :) read more

Update: Olive View doctors have informed me that my supposed diabetes is so well controlled that I'm not displaying as gdm at all, and that the only reason I would have had a higher fasting reading about 2 weeks ago when Jadali insisted I was killing my baby is because the placenta is causing more insulin resistance than usual during weeks 32-36. I was this close to taking insulin which would have dropped my sugar levels way lower than normal because of these incompetent doctors at Van Nuys WC and Jadali's recommendations. I'm glad I went with my gut and decided against taking medication that I knew I didn't need. They literally prescribed it and were like "okay bye we can't see you". Pathetic unprofessionalism to say the least. Olive View doctors do not consider me a high risk patient at all, baby is healthy as ever, and they are looking into my case and the poor care received prior to getting to them. read more

One star may even be too much but if it weren't for ONE of the good nurses (who is always in the front reception) and the kind midwife, I probably would've filed a complaint on this horrible clinic. First of all, the nurses are clearly not trained. They must be students practicing on PREGNANT women. Every time I went there was an issue with taking my blood (which has never happened before because my veins are huge). I went home with bruises and they still have the nerve to say it was my fault because I was dehydrated when I literally was there with my water bottle each time. They only let me have one ultrasound and then they wanted me to start paying out of pocket for weird specials and pricing that they have. You don't actually ever get to meet the doctor who will deliver your baby until you do but thankfully this horrible doctor was LATE during the birth of my child and I was able to get an amazing doctor from the hospital to deliver my son. But the WORST part of this experience was that they refused to fill out my disability paperwork and I was never paid for the days I missed work; actually for the MONTHS I missed work. Every time I called or went to ask about it the woman who was in charge was never there according to them. They said I'd have to leave the paperwork there and they'd call me back. NO calls back. Nothing was done. The whole experience was a waste of time. They definitely don't care about their patients here. They're just hear to cash in on some work hours for their diplomas and/or simply for their paychecks. read more

I came here to have a 6 week postpartum checkup, since I didn't have any insurance and needed a place that took cash. I was also concerned that I may have had a sinus infection or strep. They charged me 150 and I waited over an hour to be seen on uncomfortable plastic chairs in the waiting room. When I was finally seen, the dr/nurse told me she didn't have any instruments to check my ear nose or throat and they didn't even have a thermometer to see if I had a fever. I had even called in advance to see if they can address these concerns at my six week postpartum visit. She asked me a few questions and did an internal check and that was it. Giving an extra star because at least she had the decency to offer a refund for my visit and suggested I go to urgent care somewhere else. All in all, a huge waste of time and I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in today for my first time, the whole staffed was super friendly! They started helping me really quick- gave me my paperwork to fill out, immediately had one of the Ultra Sound techs who was name Josey greeted me and got me into the room. She was so friendly and had an awesome attitude! She made me feel welcome and comfortable to ask questions. She made my experience go to another level!! I had walked in to this clinic and chanced being able to be seen it was extremely busy! I was very nervous and the front desk receptionist was not very friendly so that made me feel even more uneasy. I was handed a clipboard to fill out forms then asked to provide a urine sample then sent to the lab, then after the lab I had to wait to be seen for an ultrasound. Mind you this is my very pregnancy so I'm on pins and needles throughout the process, the staff can come off a bit robotic probably because they do this every single day. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to meet the ultrasound tech Josey she was so kind and warm and I immediately felt so comfortable with her. She was so knowledgeable, professional and made sure I knew the importance of prenatal care. After all that nothing was more special than hearing my babies heart beat for the very first time. If the clinic did not have Josey I would've probably went somewhere else for the next visit, because of her I'm coming back. read more

I've been going to this place for a good 2 years for all of my needs. I've seen new people and people that have been there since my very first visit. I have to say I'm nothing less of happy with the service I have received from front desk staff (Crystal :D), ultrasound tech (my lovely Janet :DDD) and the Nurse Practitioner Nicole :DD. This is my first pregnancy and every question, need or concern I've had hasn't been treated lightly or with annoyance. Some places tend to get irritated with all the questions you have and don't really understand what you're going through. I've had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Joseph once and it was very pleasant. He answered all my questions and lent his help if further assistance was needed. I have recommended a few friends there for whatever services they've needed and all have been satisfied. My friend just actually had a baby about a little over a week ago, she started on with Women's Care and finished it all the way through. I would recommend anyone to go here (male or female; they cater to both) because you will be exceptionally happy with your results. THANK YOU WOMEN'S CARE. I been going to Van Nuys womens care since 2014 Dr.joseph has delivered two of my sons and now he will be delivering my daughter in a few weeks he's a very good doctor and his staff has always been amazing to me I always like going to places where the nurses make me feel welcome, With that being said the receptionist Christina is always really kind and makes me feel comfortable when I call for a question and when I go in for my visits! Also Josie the ultrasound tech has been really good and very welcoming, but every single nurse that works there has been kind I really recommend this clinic I've never had a bad experience with them and my deliveries have been good which I've had c-sections and dr.joseph has done a good job. read more

I am giving a 5 star . My first time at this clinic and one thing i notice is the staff . the girl in the front desk was really busy also it seems they were short staff. There really nice and my visit was fast . Total time for my first visit was about a hour. These girls rock i also want to give a big thank you to a nurse that took my weight and blood pressure . i didn't get her name but she was wearing glasses she made me feel comfortable she asked couple of questions also drew my blood shes amazing. Unfortunately I have to change my review. What seemed to be nice office and nice people but I have to agree that I've never got the chance to meet Dr OBGYN until I was 36/37 weeks. When I decided to change my hospital they wanted to charge me $25 for my records and I had another option if my other OBGYN Dr faxes them a request with my signature/ consent which I did and they never faxed them my records! This place is all about money they cash in from your insurance and that's all. They gave me through my pregnancy only 1 ultrasound and provided me with one ultrasound picture on the early stage. That's all. You want more you have to pay cash - up to $100 bundle. Which is crazy to me!! I don't recommend this place to any future moms that want a great experience and a good communication with stuff and especially the Dr. I'm sad for choosing this place and wasting my time there! Find a better Dr and office that's suits you. You deserve a good communication and good care! read more

Left this clinic because throughout my pregnancy (first 37 weeks) i was never seen by the actual doctor who would be delivering my baby (i never even met him or her) and never once received an actual vaginal exam. UPDATE: This is in response to the person who answered me from this clinic. I didnt think of going into specifics, but I was checked up to a few days before i was scheduled to have my c-section performed and there were issues which resulted in proceding with the scheduled csection. Giving vaginal birth was always an option available and open to me, so let me just say the level of care i received from my OBGYN was excellent. Aside from gaining my trust and building a relationship with me through what was left of my pregnancy, the operation went smoothly and without complications. I am expecting my second baby and have seen my DOCTOR ever since the first few weeks of pregnancy. I cant stress enough how nice it is to have a warm patient/provider relationship with the person who will be delivering my baby. I wouldnt ever be a patient somewhere where the physician is unable to give me 5 minutes of his time, but will get paid to deliver my baby. Thanks but no thanks. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THE NURSES ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I came here a year ago when I was pregnant. It was my first pregnancy and I wasn't sure what I was doing but I thought I could trust them to help me make the best decisions for me and my baby. I was wrong!! The nurses completely took advantage of my naïveté. They told me that they would guide me through the process of applying for medical but all they did was give me forms to sign and told me to wait. I waited for a month and asked them why have I not received my medical card yet? But they said it usually took a while and to be patient. They knew I still needed to complete more steps like talk to a social worker and so on but no one bothered to help me with it. After 4 months I decided that on my next visit I was going to tell them I was relocating and when told the nurse I expected her to wish me good luck and help me get my medical forms but the first thing she said was, "you're paying for every ultrasound you had during your visits you know that right?..." All she cared about was money!! They gave me such a hard time when I asked if I could have a copy of my medical records, but they sure didn't have a problem disclosing my private information to the entire waiting room. They said I had to pay to have a copy of my forms and to send them to the clinic I was transferring to. I was also about to finish my prenatal vitamins and they wanted me to pay $20 for that too!! On top of that I had to pay for the ultrasounds, which was about $80. Plus, one thing that was a constant problem was scheduling appointments. During my visits I always made sure to schedule my next appointment before I left. However, whenever I would call for information they would tell me that I wasn't even in the system and that I had never scheduled an appointment for my next visit. One time I showed up and they weren't even expecting me because I "wasn't in the system." I was there for 4 months how could I not be in the system?! On top of that they would have me on hold for 20-30 minutes every time I called, which I don't even understand why because whenever I was physically at the clinic the receptionist was never doing anything. The only professional person there was Dr. Joseph, and I'm sorry she has to put up with those nurses. Such a horrible experience!!! It's even worse when you're a first time mom and have no idea if you're doing this right. You're so fragile and emotional, and you have to trust these nurses with your child's life just to realize they don't even care. read more

I came here for the first time 4 years ago. They were really helpful and took care of me during my pregnancy and delivery. After 4 years, I came back and I was very impressed with how they changed the place. Better, cleaner office which was really great. Great place!! Staff was all nice and friendly. Went in for my first pap smear and the procedure itself was fast and not uncomfortable like I've heard. Didnt feel a thing. Good first experience. They specialize in other things, if it was as good as this, I would look into those in the future. I think they also have an abortion clinic which I like to have options if things don't go to plan. The nurse practitioner was very informative with my questions of different BC and made my option simple to decide. Got my blood drawn on first stick, I do have tricky veins so glad it was obtained on first stick. The nurse that got it also wanted to try different arms to make sure she didn't have to restick and fish for it so props to her. read more

I had a prenatal appointment after having to switch from Keiser, at first I was a little worried but once I went in for my Ultrasound, it was more than I expected, The Ultrasound tech Josie gave my the BEST ultrasound experience EVER, she made me feel so comfortable let me know my baby was doing good, she took all the worries I had ! Totally recommend!! This review is for the staff. The main reason I go to this clinic is because of the treatment and attention I get from the staff everytime I go. They welcome you as soon as you walk through the door and make sure to say bye on your way out. I have Never felt mistreated or misleaded here. Love the staff here. They're professional and courteous. They don't give you an attitude or the stank eye. Claudia Nancy Maria and Vicky is who I've known there and they're awesome. As for the nurse practitioner I wasn't too crazy about her maybe it's because of the language barrier between us. As for Doctor Joseph I've only seen him twice so I can't judge him on his practice. After my visit 2 weeks ago I was very disapointed scarred and upset and furious and All I wanted was a pregnancy test so I told the receptionist that I needed to get a pregnancy test she told me sign in, to put my name and birth date on a form and after waiting about 15 minutes she finally called my name and her first words were do you have insurance, I said yes medi cal she asked what plan I said I dont know. She asked if I had my card I said yes gave it to her and she told me to have a seat, so I sat down again for about 10 to 12 minutes, while she talked and talked to everyone and anyone about how sick she felt because she was pregnant she called me back and said I had a plan that that office did not accept she gave me a phone number to call myself and I said can someone here help me and she then became very rude and told me That she could not help me, mean while she continued talking to other patients about her pregnancy. And all I wanted was a pregnancy test. Then after a few minutes of not getting straigt answer she said I could pay for the consult a ridiculously high amount and I said no and walked out, so after waiting about 45 min and still not getting a pregnancy test. I started walking home and remembered there was another clinic down the street from this clinic, well I went in and as I was waiting they helped me change my insurance to the one they accepted At that office, it took no more than about 15 to 20 minutes for insurance switch and I was helped and seen by the MD that same day. Not saying its a bad clinic but this chick in front desk seems like a drama queen and it seems she spent more time talking about her pregnancy and in that time she could have easily have helped me change my insurance.
