Lamb kebabs

Heard good things about this place. Stopped in for lunch, babaganoush was excellent, had chicken shawarma wrap, friend had lamb kabobs that had excellent seasoning and very tender with mediterranean rice and fresh side salad. I wish it were closer to me in Prescott but when I am in PV will drop in

Closed. Mexican now. Too bad, I never got to try it. Love Mediterranean food. Wish we had more options.

The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for lingering over good conversation. I had the 1/2 chicken salad on a croissant with soup and coffee--everything was spot on. The soup was flavorful without being overly spicy (just right), and the coffee? Honestly, some of the best I've had in a while. Angie, our server, made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. She was friendly, attentive, and added that personal touch that really makes a difference. Great food, great service, and a place we'll happily return to for our next lunch date.

We kept hoping that with each visit and trying different menu items things would improve, but sadly that wasn't the case. At this point, I feel like this is more of a convenience spot than somewhere you go specifically for amazing food. We stayed at the hotel above the restaurant and breakfast was included with our package, so we definitely wanted to take advantage of it, but even the breakfast items felt very mediocre. The atmosphere and service definitely deserve credit, but the food itself just didn't live up to expectations for us.

I was headed up to Northern Arizona and decided to make a stop in Anthem for some Mediterranean…read morefood. It did not disappoint. The World Cup was playing, which made for a fun atmosphere, and the chicken gyro platter was absolutely delicious with a generous portion size. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I only wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. These are the types of restaurants we need to support more--healthy, affordable options that give people, especially our youth, an alternative to constantly relying on fast food chains. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. God bless.

There simply isn't anything about this place that isn't absolutely perfect. I can't believe that I've been raving about Mr. Gyros for years and never taken a moment to rave on Yelp. Admittedly, I've never ventured beyond the traditional gyros wrap. Why? You can't improve on perfection. Or the generous meat portion in these magnificent treats. Every wrap I order takes me back to magic times as a young man in the late 1970s in Chicago where I was introduced to the Gyros by an old Greek street vendor who barely spoke English. The entire menu board screams Chicago, including classic Chicago Dogs, and a variety of Greek inspired take-away sandwiches, wraps, and salads with something for everyone. Saving the best for last, Mr. Gyros has some awesome source for hand crafted authentic classic baklava in both pistachio and walnut versions. Not to be overlooked!!! Good people, awesome food, and a great 'strip mall' location, Mr. Gyros is the Real Deal!!!!!

Another tasty dinner with wonderful service last night. After moving in the girls for NAU move-in,…read morewe were all famished. After looking around downtown a bit and finding long wait times we decided to try our old favorite Indian spot that is sort of hidden away from the main downtown strip. We got in right away. Food came out steaming hot. We ordered: - Mango Milkshake (5/5) unlike a typical American milkshake that is extra thick, this is more thinned down and easy to drink and also very delicious with the fresh mango taste. Think of it more as a Kefir style drink in terms of thickness, but it doesn't have the tang of the yogurt in kefir. - TANDOORI: SHEESH KABAB - Spice Level 2 (3/5) Minced lamb, marinated in spices and skewered over red hot charcoal, served with mint chutney & onion. The lamb sounded really good so I decided to give this a try and it just wasn't my thing. It was a little dry and chewy didn't have the flavor I was looking for. Wouldn't order again. - DAAL TADKA Spice Level 4 (5/5) - Yellow lentils cooked into a thick soup with tomatoes and garden herbs. Delicious hearty and flavorful. My daughter ordered it as a spice level four which is perfect for her but a bit too much heat for me. - LAMB VINDALOO Spice Level 3 (5/5) Lamb meat cooked in hot spices with a highly seasoned gravy of potatoes, tomatoes & chili pepper. Always hub's go to favorite. - LAMB SAAG - Spice Level 2 (5/5) Lamb meat cooked in spinach & a mildly spiced gravy. my daughter loves lamb and she said this was delicious. I tried it as well and loved it. Tender chunks of lamb in a yummy gravy. - MURG MAKHANI / BUTTER CHICKEN - Spice Level 3 (4/5) - Tandoori chicken cooked in butter and special tomato gravy. My daughter's boyfriend said this is really good. I tried a few bites. It was OK, but I prefer the gravy used for the lamb. - GARLIC NAAN (x3) - Naan with a touch of garlic. Scrumptious. I'd come back any day just for this delicious naan bread. We saw on the window out front when we left that they have stopped doing their Sunday lunch buffet.

The waitress that was assisting the table next to us never even acknowledged us. Finally the hostess came back and apologized and took our orders. The drinks were comp'd which was nice. We ordered bread and a steak that came w fries and a salad. We added the shrimp. We also got a bottle of wine. We split the meal bc it was a lot of food. Even though there is a $6 charge to split the plate. We had to ask for plates and silverware after our food started coming out. The food was served family style. So to me it's just an upcharge bc they can. They also charge 3.8% additional for credit cards. I will say the drinks and food were good. I liked everything. And I'd give the food a 4/5. The service and the hospitality were a 2 bc the hostess was nice and made an effort.

The side roasted vegetables were super refreshing after a day of hiking. The waitress was super kind and gave us suggestions on what to order & what she liked more. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was very clean and decorated well. I will say, when we received the check, we understood the surcharge would be max 4%. The paella was $38, so even with a 4% charge it should be $39.52 but we were charged ~$40. So my friends & I paid and after they charged the card, then I mentioned the 4% surcharge did not add up. The waitress tried to explain the 4% surcharge but I had my calculator out showing the charge difference. They brought the check to the back and voided our first charge, then recharged the right amount. It's only a $1 difference but it's the ethics. Just double check the final check before paying.
