We honestly don't mind driving about two hours just to eat at Delhi Palace, that's how much we like this place. Every time we walk in, it feels warm and welcoming. The restaurant is nicely decorated with traditional Indian décor, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. The food is consistently good, and we've never been disappointed. Our favorites are the butter chicken and the lamb masala. The butter chicken is rich, creamy, and super comforting, while the lamb masala is tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. And their garlic naan? Seriously one of the best in town, soft, fluffy, and perfect for scooping up all that sauce. Overall, Delhi Palace is one of those places that's always worth the drive. Great food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere that keeps us coming back whenever we're craving authentic Indian food.

Still one of my favorite places to eat in Flag. The service is always good. Staff are very friendly and service is fast. I always feel comfortable eating there. The ambiance is nice and inviting. The food is always delicious with my go to dishes being the lamb saag and mango chicken.

Food: We came at dinner time so it was only buffet that was being served. So my assessment is based on a limited and fixed menu. Standard curries, naan, rice, desserts. Now, despite these items being very standard, the quality of food wasn't up to my expectations. The naan and jamun were super dry. The flavors of the paneer makhani, butter chicken, korma were all flat - I guess since they all used the same base gravy, they all turned out to taste the same flat flavor. The only thing that was up to the mark was the tandoor chicken. Lamb vindaloo was average. This is the main reason I deducted 2 stars because a restaurant's prime expectation to not disappoint on has to be the food. Saag paneer, mango lassi and rice kheer was good. Service: Since this was buffet, there was very little interaction but whatever interactions we had, those who attended to us for offering water, clearing up our plates were all kind and friendly. I do also want to make a special mention that for kids aged 7years and under, the buffet is half rate. This is nice because kids that little can't and don't eat much anyways. So this was super nice to have. Ambience: Good ambience, nice decor, comfortable seating arrangements. Parking: No problem at all. Ample space as it is within a strip mall area. Restroom: Clean & well maintained.

My moto friends and I rode up to Flag from the Phoenix area. Although at first we were disappointed that they no longer do the buffet, after tasting the food that disappeared quickly. I ordered the Butter Chicken slightly kicked up. A med heat instead of mild. For my pallet it was perfect! No forehead sweats. Fantastic flavor. Buttery goodness. The basmati rice was tasty and the garlic naan was cooked perfectly. The portion size was generous enough to enjoy the next night. My dining partners had Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori chicken. Both raved about it and the Samosas also. Easily some of the best Indian I've had in ages!!! Well done folks!!! My "judge" is will I return. Without a doubt.

Maybe the best Indian food I ever had! Stopped by because of the high reviews, we arrived early evening and there was not many people, but when we leaved, it was packed, so it's really popular in Flagstaff. The garlic naan smelled so good, it paired well with chicken tikka masala. The chicken tikka masala was also a rice killer, so creamy and flavorful. My husband got lamb biryanis and it was a generous amount, and also a lot of lamb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you are visiting Flagstaff.

This was my first time ever trying Indian food, the workers were very helpful and willing to put up with all my questions. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free except the naan. As you walk in you immediately get hit with the smell of spices and many different decorations. Overall I don't know if Indian food is my favorite but definitely worth the try and was a great experience.

Service was exceptional. The chicken tikka was delicious, the garlic naan was crazy good, and the crispy tortilla and green sauce they offer as an appetizer was so fresh and flavorful. I'd literally drive two hours to eat here again. Exceptional. Authentic. Just like the Indian I get in the UK.

Absolutely worth a stop! We stopped in while traveling from Phoenix to Kanab, UT and were so impressed! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about celiac disease, which immediately put my husband at ease. As soon as we mentioned it, they reassured us that everything is gluten-free except the naan and samosas. Their confidence and awareness were a huge relief! The dining room had a cozy vibe with Indian music softly playing in the background. Everything is served à la carte, but the prices are very reasonable, and they offer a choice of spice level for each dish. We ordered: Indian tea Onion bhaji Mango chicken Garlic naan (for me, I'm not celiac) Chicken korma Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. My husband--who's a die-hard Mexican food fan--said this might be his new favorite cuisine. That's high praise coming from him! If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth a stop. Great food, welcoming staff, and a gluten-free friendly menu done right!

This place has great Indian food - unexpected in flagstaff but it does really feel authentic. Right when you sit down they bring a crispy flatbread (I believe papadum) and a green chutney (has a little kick). The service was great - our water glasses were never empty during our whole meal. We ordered family style - shrimp curry, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and garlic naan and rice to share. Do note that the entrees are a la carte - so you need to order rice or naan to eat with it. Everything was delicious. All of the dishes were so full of flavor and fragrant spices. The portions are pretty big as well, so we even had leftovers for another meal! In terms of spice level, we all got medium and honestly the dishes could have been more spicy - it was pretty faint, so if you like spice, I'd go a little heavier. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Flagstaff!

First visit, Saturday night, the mixed grilled and lamb masala were the entrees. Make sure to ask for rice. It does not just come with these entrees. The medium spice level was about a 7 out of 10. If you want to taste the spice but still enjoy the dish this is the spice level I recommend. The mild spice level was very flavorful. The restaurant was nearly full upon departure. Thankfully, we arrived before the dinner rush. The service was good. The noise level was moderate.

I have to say - this was really good Indian food and this is coming from an Indian! Food: we got the malai kofta, tandoori dinner, and gulag jaman a garlic naan for two people which was entirely too much food! So we had a whole meal as leftovers. The maki kofta was delicious and the tandoori dinner was an amazing way to sample so many things! The tandoori dinner also Contained a vegetable korma which was actually really good! Service: the service could be better. They did take a while to get our food ready Ambience: good and large

Another great dinner here while dropping the girls off at NAU. The service is spectacular. They even have a server coming around just to fill water glasses constantly. They checked on us multiple times making sure that we received All of our order. We were seated immediately and it takes a while for the food to come out because it is being prepared fresh to order. I can't have ginger at the moment so I asked the server my options. They have two options: Palak Paneer and Vegetable Korma. Both are really good. I have tried them. Tonight we ordered: - Indian tea (a waiter refilled this mug as well. It has a blend of spices but no black tea. My daughter said it tastes like a watered down milky version of a chai latte. She liked it. Her stomach was a little upset so she thought the ginger would help her feel better) - unsweetened black tea - Naan (comes out warm and soft with crisp edges and air pockets. It's so good.) - Garlic Naan - you can see from the pictures this looks amazing with the herbs and oil and cheese on top. It's very good. - Basmati rice for the table - Lamb Biryani (spice level three) - hubs loved this and was raving about how delicious all of the food and bread was tonight. - Vegetable Korma (spice level two) - honestly I wasn't sure if I'd feel satisfied with just a vegetable and some bread, but this dish blew me away. It had depth and flavor and it was very filling. It was a nice comforting dinner on a cold and windy night. This tasted like a creamy spiced gravy, and the veggies weren't too mushy. I dipped the naan into the gravy and it was as good as any comforting soup and bread dish. - Madrasa Lamb (spice level two) - my daughter loved this and took the leftovers back to her dorm - Chicken Tikka Masala for the table (spice level 2 out of 5) delicious masala. We loved it. - Butter Chicken (spice level three) - this is my daughter's favorite. She gets it every time and she took her leftovers back to the dorm with some rice. This is similar to the tikka masala. There are restrooms near the front of the restaurant for customers. There is a mini bar near the front for seating, and booth and table seating at the back.

The buffet is not open but they are open for lunch and dinner indoor dining.

    Do you serve halal meat?

Yes, there's a halal sign on their window too. The staff confirmed as well.

No, but I highly recommend you make one if you plan to go there on the weekend!

Here's my thoughts for today's visit. There is salt and pepper on the table! First time I found salt lacking and was happy to see it accessible on the table. The Indian coffee is bomb...and while Sugar in the Raw isn't available, there was honey today which was a nice touch and way better than refined sugar! Last time I was here I ordered the standard tikka masala, which I LOVE, but I noticed there was much less chicken than the first time I visited, and the prices had gone up. So, this time I opted for the Veg Korma, which I get every time, and the Dahl (lentils). The korma is lovely with chunks of potato, cauliflower, peas and carrots (feel like they are frozen, but good nonetheless). The sauce was spiced at spicy and was perfect. The Dahl was nicely spiced and just a really good vegetarian meal, not too heavy and plenty of leftovers. The butter naan was adequate. It was much denser than last visit and honestly lacked some flavor, but the garlic naan I've had before wasn't much different so I opted for the lower price point. All in all, it's hard to complain. The family does a really good job ensuring patrons are satisfied, which is key. The prices have increased about 25-30% since they opened and I feel like the portions shrank a tad, but considering I'm one person and I always order two entrees, I always have left overs. I'll state it again....great option if you're coming through Camp Verde/260. Something besides Mexican, lol. The family is lovely and I am a huge proponent for supporting small, local businesses!

When we arrived, we were a bit unsure at first, as the exterior and signage were unexpected, but we decided to go in and are so glad we did for the food alone. Inside, there was a large dining area with plenty of seating. It seemed like there may have been a different service style than what we are used to, as we were not greeted right away and ended up seating ourselves, getting our own cups and silverware, and flagging someone down to place our order. We weren't quite sure how the process worked, which made the experience feel a little awkward and unclear. That said, the food truly stood out and made a lasting impression. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
