Omg. I am literally FLOORED. I don't even know where to start. I cannot believe what I just experienced right now. At first I was hesitant of spending the money even though it was an in-home service. I have gotten them before in the past for less, but nothing happened to be available tonight. I am normally ALWAYS achy and sore, so I usually get massages on the regular but tend to go to Asian places not only bc they are cheaper, but bc they are very "strong". But I decided to splurge tonight and omg what a completely different experience! WORTH EVERY PENNY. Not only was Silvana such a sweet lady (radiating all this positive energy too, which really makes a difference), but she was SO knowledged and experienced. I told her that I've had these terrible leg cramps for YEARS, but recently realized the pain was actually coming from my lower back and hips. Immediately she told me it was my sciatic nerve and everything I was going to explain to her she was already saying first. My pain is so bad that sometimes I can't even move or stretch my feet, my calves are always rock hard, and my hamstrings and thighs are always hurt even though ironically I am very flexible. Let alone I can't even touch or graze that "weird" area in my hip where the feeling is coming from. Unless you have the same problem, you won't even understand what it feels like and how uncomfortable it is to your daily life. Anyways, so her massage techniques and movements were nothing I've ever experienced before and again, I am an avid massage goer. I always believed that the "strong" massages where they dig their fingertips and elbows into your knots for long periods of time were the best ones. NO. Her movements were graceful and light, occasionally moving faster throughout the whole body w more strength in certain spots. She immediately found all my problem areas but instead of just focusing on those areas, she did these "tricks" on the areas around it before getting to those specific areas and by the time she got to my most painful areas, they like didn't hurt that much anymore?!?! ESPECIALLY when she got to that hip area. As soon as she touched it I jumped and screamed and this is what happens every time I get a massage. I literally cry but I like it bc I feel like it's working. She told me not to worry and actually left that area and did some more tricks on my legs and lower back and legit the next time she went back to that hip area I barely even felt it!!! I'm not kidding, I was SHOCKED. I have been dealing w this problem for YEARS. I used to get acupuncture, see a chiropractor, I did a lot of yoga bc I thought it was a stretching thing, and my next move was to get an MRI. Yes, the pain is that serious. But I literally feel like a different person now. I know the problem didn't just go away and that I'm healed forever, but now I truly believe there are ways to fix this problem. I know it will be a gradual and continuous process... but I am never going anywhere else again. She is more like a body and mind healer, not a masseuse. It is actually called "therapy" and it literally was so therapeutic. She taught me so much in one hour about my own body. She also immediately found my lymph nodes near my legs that were swollen and I told her I absolutely hate the way that feels. She already knew. She showed me how to very lightly massage that area to push the toxins out which is something I was not even aware of before. Honestly, I never write reviews, let alone spend this much time on such a long one at midnight when I am extremely tired... but this one, I had to. I come down to Palm Springs every week for work and have to book my weekly massage through meditation massage. They send a therapist right to my hotel room so I don't even have to go out in 110 degree weather! I have had a couple different therapists and all of them are excellent. Silvana was incredible. A deep tissue massage that released all the built up tension from a oncoming cold, traveling for work, sitting at a desk, intermittent high intensity interval training and 3-days of snowboarding (2weeks back). Yes. All that! Before she walked in I felt like my body was going on strike and I just wanted to pass out. When she left I felt like I was floating on a cloud. And I am picky about my massages. I've enjoyed massages at spas in 5 star hotels around the world. Kevin is the absolute best - period! I don't have the words to describe his technique. The simple fact is he had me so relaxed that I had a difficult time coming out of the massage. Standing, counting out his payment or forming coherent sentences were difficult. I'm amazed how relaxed I was. I went to his studio. The decidedly masculine space was a nice departure from the feminine spas. There's a whiskey bar instead of wine or champagne. Leather club chairs in place of flowered lounges. The color scheme is warm and the experience was fantastic. I missed some tiny details of scented towels and automatics. Overall I felt like a king! read more
