The last time I came in to see Jana she relieved my lower back pain, helped me avoid getting sick when I was starting to feel body aches coming on, and somehow relieved this huge psoriasis mark on my back that was painful. The next day the rash had flattened and no longer itched or stung. She also significantly helped my jaw alignment to where I can open and close comfortably, which is more than the chiropractor was able to do! Wow, I have to say this massage blew my mind. I was in need of a massage and a friend recommended Jana. To start, I want to say that I am a huge fan of massage. The one complaint I have is that 90% of masseuses won't/don't go deep enough for me. That is not the case with Jana; not only did she go deep, her massage cleared out major stress and tightness that I did not even know I had. Her massage was basically the massage I have always wished for but never quite got. I don't really know how to describe it but, my body feels 5 years lighter and my brain feels relieved of a ridiculous amount of stress that I was apparently holding on to. I don't think I am exaggerating when I say: I think this massage changed my life. Jana, is very responsive when you ask for a deeper or lighter touch. In over 30 years of receiving massages, I have never experienced the techniques she utilizes, I think I might describe the experience as part massage and part body work. But, you'd be missing out on what could be a transformative experience and real relief. I made an appointment with Jana because I was stressed out and carrying tension all over, with tight muscles I could feel clenching up. She consulted with me on her patio, looking over a chart she asked me to illustrate with my issues, and explained to me what was going on and why my body and mind were seized up. I'll confess that her way of describing is more traditional and spiritual than it is technical and scientific, but she offered the information for me to accept however I might. I appreciated her openness and invitation to relax with her. We went to the adjacent cottage for treatment. It's totally peaceful, cozy, and quiet, as you'd hope. Candle, check. Soothing music, check. Incredibly comfy massage table, check. But more important: I realized in there that what Jana was really talking about outside was primarily trust. Over my 90 minute session, we actually went on a sort of journey - together. She helped relieve my clenched muscles through a combination of her massage, and also her verbal guidance instructing my breathing and visualization. Watching me as she worked, she could tell what was going on, and what next step I could take to relax further. She's fully with you, highly intuitive, but there's also work involved. Expect to invest in the process, and there's great reward. I've had all kinds of massages, all over the planet, and I will say that the best of them are the ones I never want to end, and am sad when they're over. With Jana, it was the first time I had the experience of a massage that seemed to last for days not minutes. When done, I was a bit overcome emotionally: I was so much better leaving than I had been on arrival, I felt completely different in a way that astonished me. I am truly amazed at what a healing and transformative treatment this experience with Jana Lynn is. I have seen her multiple times and each time I feel more and more healed. I feel cleansed after my sessions and I have let go of so much "stuff" that doesn't serve me or my greatest good. For me, I have emotional blockage that needs to be pushed out and I felt it weighting me down. But it feels so good to release it all!! If your looking for just a straight massage then look else where as Jana does spiritual balancing and other alternative therapy as part of her treatment. I found it all interesting but I just wanted a straight massage. She was also about 30 minutes late for the appt and there is no place to wait indoors: you have to wait outside on her patio which is nice as long as the weather is ok. read more

Jana is a healer. She's been my massage therapist for over 10 years and she's always been able to help me feel better without exception. She is highly skilled at removing tension, pain, energetic blocks, etc. from the body. She does a lot of energy work as well including asking clients to use visualizations and mantras so if you are uncomfortable with those sorts of techniques just let her know because she can also give you the sort of massage you'd receive at a spa. Her cottage is very sweet and homey but she runs it herself so if you don't hear back from her immediately just know that she will take care of you when she can. I've seen over 20 massage therapists in my lifetime and Jana is only one of three I'd recommend. She knows how to get centered when working on you and helps you get relaxed. The deep tissue work is the best, in the neck and shoulder areas. I love the scalp massage... but from head to toe, I'd say she's the best I've tried in Lafayette overall. Wow, what a great, coincidental find! I was driving home from Marin to home in the East Bay as I was heading toward Lafayette. On a whim, I called the operator for "massage" in Lafayette. I was given four numbers and decided on #3, my favorite number! Wow, no wonder it's my favorite. Although when I first met Jana Lynn, it was a little overwhelming as she said it appeared I was really "in my head" and needed to ground my feet, etc. At first I thought, great, airy fairy stuff... I just want a massage. But I thought, "be open-minded," so I was and I could truly feel a transition while on the massage table as she would remind me of "the golden light" within me and to remember to be in my body. She had a magical touch and I was floating on air for hours after the massage and was much more aware for days afterward.
