Melissa actually took the time to listen, review everything and was sympathetic and compassionate. She was thorough and explained things in detail. I appreciated that Melissa knew about certain health issues and how one affects another which is something that doctors I've been to in the past didn't seem to know nor explain. I was extremely impressed. I went for my annual exam and she made sure I had a full blood workup, physical exam and urinalysis. The office called with my results and followed up with sending prescriptions right away. The office staff is very efficient and easy to deal with as well. I set up an appointment and confirmed that they had a repeating time and day because I needed stability and consistency. The receptionist told me they did and to confirm with my therapist at my appointment for that continuing day and time. I had my intake and at the end the therapist and I talked about other time options but I confirmed my original time and day worked perfect. She told me to let them know if I needed to change. I showed up today and was told I didn't have an appointment. First it was a story that I told the receptionist personally that I wasn't sure if that day/time wouldn't work and I would get back to her. I confirmed that I never spoke to her in person or say that. She got an attitude, claimed she confused me with someone else and then made up another story about how the therapist just that morning, a week later, mentioned that I wasn't coming because I walked out the previous week without confirming my appointment. None of this was true. I was sad, overwhelmed and frustrated. Through tears I told her it was hard enough for me to make the appointment and that I was upset that I've been really struggling and their miscommunication really affected me. I really needed support. The receptionist got very angry telling me that I wasn't the only one with problems and kept repeating loudly to check my attitude until I walked out in full tears and embarrassment.

Update - I've now had acupuncture twice and cupping twice from Dr Sonya. I've also gotten a few magnesium shots - to help with migraines and muscle cramping. I'm so impressed. She really cares that I'm in pain and wants to help. Her prices are so much better than anywhere else. My dad pays $80 for acupuncture elsewhere, while Dr Sonya only charges $45 for the visit that includes both acupuncture and cupping.

I went to this urgent care on Sunday and paid $90 for the visit, $6 for a strep test, and $16 for…read morethe prescription. I came in with chest pain, severe throat pain, and a persistent cough. The provider said my throat "looked like tonsillitis with exudate," but admitted she wasn't sure what I had -- mentioning it could be mono, strep, or tonsillitis. My strep test was negative, yet I was still prescribed amoxicillin based only on what it "looked like." The visit lasted about 10 minutes, and I was told to come back if symptoms worsened. After 4 days on amoxicillin, my symptoms got worse, not better. I developed a severe cough keeping me up at night, my voice became hoarse again, and my throat and chest pain increased. I returned on Thursday and explained everything, including that I am cash pay and had just been there days earlier. I was told I still had to pay $50 plus more for prescriptions. The second provider was rude and dismissive, cut me off while I was explaining my symptoms, and defended the first prescription instead of listening. She admitted she also didn't know what I had, saying it "could be anything" and made an inappropriate political comment about viruses, verbatim stating "well trump put all these viruses out there so I don't know what you have", which was completely unprofessional. No one addressed my throat pain, chest pain, hoarseness, nausea, or worsening cough in a meaningful way. The visit again felt rushed (under 10 minutes). When I received my discharge paperwork, my diagnosis was listed as "acute cough and nasal congestion", which is not why I came in. None of my main symptoms were documented. I already have a weakened immune system, and being given medications based on guesses rather than proper evaluation is unacceptable. Between the cost, lack of clear diagnosis, dismissive care, and poor documentation, this was a horrible experience. I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone.
