If you need high speed internet it is one of your only options in my area. Every year they raise the cost $20 and there is little to nothing you can do about it. Every year I have to call to try to avoid the price increase. Pretty much have to demand to talk to a supervisor to get anything done. Pretty much have to bundle the TV and internet, but basic TV does not even include all of the local channels. If I had another choice I would take it! Since we need internet and streaming data, I am stuck with only this option until I move. Having two of these companies in one area would fix this - how is it not a monopoly? read more

Terrible internet service overall, but the only real game in town and they know it. Works fine if it's perfectly clear outside, but don't expect service if there are clouds in the sky. I've had Dish Network for 5 years and it almost never went down. With Mediacom you can just look at the forecast and know when the brief window you're allowed to use the service you pay for is... The customer service was terrible when my dad died. My mom talked to them repeatedly about changing his account over to her name and getting a different package, and they acted as if they couldn't understand her. They said even when someone dies their account is still active. These people are nonsensical, cruel, rude, and incompetent. My recommendation: do NOT go to Mediacom in Hibbing. read more
