    the local installers are junk and the corp customer service stinks. contacted direct to install…read moresystem (remove current DISH due to lack of local channel fight) scheduled on 9/17 for install on 10/5, received email confirmation and text confirmation day before install and then install day came and went with no show or call or email. called customer service and the said they had no record of order WOW lady wrote up new order while being very nice while I was hot (took 25 minutes to get to a human in the first place) said she'd have them out next morning and give us a gift card. appt per email and account login was for 8-12 and guess what, no show no call no email. I went to wedding alone so someone was home and guy showed up at 2pm. told my husband could not install satellite dish on same post current satellite is , called his office they said it could, argued with my husband (who designs and engineers TV and audio systems for auditoriums and arenas nationwide) said he'd have to put on house (metal roof and surrounded by 50-80 pine trees) so my husband finally told him to get off the property. at this time we have not heard anything from direct despite msgs left to customer service lady's direct phone number. this entire experience is unacceptable. Satellite TV is the best option for us that live in the woods in northern MN. there is no cell or internet service so no streaming or internet based TV

    We live in an area where are options are very limited. We had KMTelecom Wild Blue internet for…read morealmost ten years before their residential accounts were bought out by Northland Connect. With KmTelecom we had good customer service and tech support and the signal strength was usually up where it was supposed to be for what we paid for. Since having Northland Connect I spend my time calling the billing office which nobody ever answers and I have to leave a message that almost always never gets a return call. When I call tech support, weekly now, I hear the same excuses of satellite issues, outages or weather. If I have a good tech person then they put me on hold and then come back in a few minutes with our speed raised up saying they "put my account on a different and less congested beam to the satellite". The speed may last for a half hour and starts to drop again. I believe that they throttle back our service every chance they get until I call and complain. This company sucks! I'm currently looking for a different provider, but there are few companies to choose from that offer satellite internet service.

Tried over the course of several months to get resolution for bad connectivity and at times no connectivity at all. I was confronted by amateurs for tech help, management that was unresponsive to problems, and a totally unprofessional operation. When I finally had enough and cancelled my service they try to beat me about the head and shoulders with my "unfulfilled contract". As far as I am concerned they voided my contract by not fulfilling their end of the bargain. Too expensive to mess around with for substandard service. Do without before you sign up with these people. Trust me they are terrible and there are lots out there to compare them too, and they come out to be the worst of the worst.
