They designed and developed a content management system (CMS) for us using Umbraco, a CMS on the dot.net platform. When we first engaged HyperArts, there was only a single Department of Surgery website, a collage of disconnected individual pages. Our goal was to replace this with a vibrant web presence, user-friendly interface, professional look and feel, with well-organized and compelling content. We feel we have developed an organic system for expanding content over the web, one that is easily customizable, upgradeable, highly extensible, and scalable. We have built over 50 websites, starting with our flagship site http://surgery.ucsf.edu/ . A number of our large departments at UCSF have also expressed interest to me in using HyperArts, based on what they did our department. HyperArts has developed numerous applications for our sites, many mission-critical, including: 1. Request an Appointment - http://top.ucsf.edu/patient-center/request-an-appointment.aspx that has generated over 2,000 appointments in a 1 1/2 years. 2. A database to track all aspects of the appointments including service levels and doctor referrals. 3. A rich faculty biography - http://transplant.surgery.ucsf.edu/faculty/transplant-surgeons/peter-g-stock,-md,-phd.aspx 4. A system for presenting Conditions & Procedures our surgeons. http://transplant.surgery.ucsf.edu/conditions--procedures/hepatocellular-carcinoma-(liver-cancer).aspx 5. A centralized news feed that spans all of our sites: http://transplant.surgery.ucsf.edu/news--events.aspx In short, HyperArts has done an outstanding job in fulfilling our online development needs and giving us a great web presence.

They offered exactly what our firm was looking for: a local and affordable website design company that excels at creating custom responsive websites. We are very pleased with their work product at a reasonable rate.

If You're a Non-Tech Founder, RUN. Before anything else,…read moreknow this: CMOLDS is holding my project hostage. On Oct. 9, Safwan told me my server contract had ended. I paid $6,500 upfront. I discovered my startup never needed anything close to that (I could get the same for $84/month) and chose to leave after a year and a half of missed deadlines, the core scope of the project being done by me and constant asking for additional money. Now they refuse to hand over my materials unless I pay $2,166 for a "grace period" server I never agreed to. I still have six months of paid maintenance they could apply, but they're trying to squeeze every last dollar. If you are a non-technical founder, this company is a nightmare waiting to happen. They talk over you, dismiss your input, and exploit any gap in your technical knowledge to squeeze more money out of you. I paid for a hybrid app, but they secretly built two native apps, doubling my future costs. Their San Francisco office is a shell, good luck finding a U.S. business license, and they use fake LinkedIn employees. They failed to deliver core features like AI integration, forcing me to learn JSON and build it myself. Twice, they tried to charge thousands more to "fix" a feature that never worked from the start. There is so much more I could share, but Google limits review length. The bottom line: they drained over $60,000, lied, manipulated, and delivered a broken, outdated product. Do not hire CMOLDS. They will exploit you until you have nothing left. DO NOT WORK WITH CMOLDS.

Chris is a recently retired general contractor, and has a WEALTH of knowledge about building and design. He's also super warm, open, funny, and easy to work with. We were having trouble envisioning how we could possibly add on to our small single story house in Berkeley to make it into a 3bdrm, 2 bath...our house has an odd layout....tricky to explain, but Chris came by, took a plethora of exact measurements inside and out, and drew up some truly wonderful ideas that I never would have been able to come up with on my own. Super professional, friendly, and extremely skilled. Save yourself thousands of dollars paying an architect and go with Chris who has a lifetime of building experience and a keen eye for how to make your house a place you're really excited to live in. A truly 5 star experience.

I was one of Ethan's first customers. As the matter of fact when he gave me my original quote, I…read moretold him I needed to pay him more for his efforts. Well, fast forward 3 years and countless referrals....They get a large job and Ethan wants to charge me 7 times my normal rate. I objected and asked for my old rates for 2 reasons. 1. It was just plain unfair 2. I couldn't afford to pay the HUGE increase. And then all heck broke loose. He brought down all of my sites because he handled the hosting (with Godaddy but charged 2 times their rate), hid my files inside in sub files (3 programmers couldn't find them) and gave me 3 days to pay him or he would erase my files. Basically holding me hostage. So I had to play by his rules and his rules only, pay him 10 times what anyone else would charge to have my files transferred. When I objected he accused me of threatening him. He really caused my business great harm. A really wacky company in my opinion. Ethan may come off as nice but when you question him, things turn around in a hurry. If you plan to do business with them, make sure you are in possession of YOUR files because as soon as you tell him that you may have to take your business elsewhere, things could get ugly fast.

The nonprofit I work for hired them to produce a suite of materials for our 10 year anniversary fundraiser. Working with the team at Elefint was great! They helped us come up with an exciting, energizing theme that was carried out through materials they created for the website, online invitations, registration page, program book, and electronic visuals at the event. I really appreciate their professionalism, artistic insight, and clean aesthetic. Plus, they truly embody and promote the vision of their company, which is to infuse the social sector with great, strategic design that helps promote mission-driven organizations. We also referred them to another nonprofit who was very pleased with their work. I will definitely work with them again in the future!

A fantastic, creative and highly personal architectural firm. Ned White, principal architect, and…read morehis associate architect Antje Paiz, designed our beautifully remodeled Sausalito cottage. Although most of their recent work was more contemporary than was appropriate for the era of our cottage, they readily accommodated our desire to maintain the spirit of the original structure, while including some very interesting contemporary interior features. Our cottage had humble origins, and we wanted to preserve much of the simplicity of style. McCoppin fulfilled that objective while designing specific, but not flashy, molding, wainscoting, and finish detail. Their working relationship with the Contractor could not have been better. There was a true collaborative effort between McCoppin Studios, Toran Building (review to follow) and the client (me). Not a detail was missed and we couldn't be happier with the quality and livability of our new home.
