I just renewed my contract with Minc. I absolutely LOVE this agency and all those who are hustling…read morebehind the scenes for their actors! Melissa, Amanda, Mariko, and whoever else I missed, are beyond helpful and professional. They know what they are doing, and they do it well. These last 2 months have been so busy, I have had at least 2 auditions a day, some of those callbacks. I booked 2 commercials within a month an a half, was pinned for another just last week, and I just keep getting busier! Getting called in by new casting directors, and am becoming a regular at other offices. The ladies have been extremely flexible with timeframe requests and other questions I ask, even having to book out last minute for Jury Duty. If you're a professional actor, who has put in hard work, and has common sense, Minc is more helpful, patient, and friendly than a lot of other agents I've encountered. I have been signed with 2 other agencies in Los Angeles during my 4 years here, those agencies maybe getting me in once a MONTH if any, with no explanation, or advice for me to help them do their job! I couldn't be more in love with my team here at Minc and am looking forward to many more years being on their roster!

Finding My Dream Job During A Worldwide Pandemic…read more I saw the most perfect job position posted on Indeed by 80Twenty that aligned with everything I wanted with my career. I applied immediately, and checked for the next few days, if my application had been viewed. Knowing how competitive Los Angeles is, not to mention how much more it is now during a pandemic, I searched for the job posting on LinkedIn, hoping I could and a direct message to the assigned recruiter. At the time the job wasn't posted and there were multiple recruiters that worked with 80Twenty. I went through each profile, seeing if maybe they were separated by industry but I couldn't really tell. So I finally sent a LinkedIn direct message to the CEO of 80Twenty, Annika Brytnse. I sat with anticipation, over-analyzing if I had overstepped, if she would even respond, etc. I've worked with some amazing recruiters before, but often it's difficult to get one to respond back due to the overwhelming response of candidates they usually get. To my surprise, she replied back quickly, providing me an email introduction to Larissa Gerlach, Head of Recruitment Services. My experience with Larissa was absolutely amazing. I was able to speak candidly with her, and she communicated with me at every step. She even took additional time out of her day, to let me practice a Go-To-Market presentation, I had created on my own, hoping it would help give me an edge. She provided feedback and encouragement, that gave me the confidence to present for the executive team. When I received the news I had gotten the job from the client, Larissa didn't just email me congratulations, she called me directly! She explained that our connection wouldn't just stop here. She would be there to assist, even after I started the role. I've never felt so supported by other recruiters before. She went above and beyond her job description. In closing, I would reccomend 80Twenty to both potential clients and applicants. Looking at posts on LinkedIn and my own experiences regarding experiences with recruiters aren't always as positive. Lack of follow-up and full knowledge of what the role entails is often frustrating on both the client and applicant side. Such positive experiences as I've had with 80Twenty should be applauded and shouted to the heavens! Thank you so much 80Twenty for helping me find my dream role, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic!

I've been living & trying to act in LA for 7 years. I've spent countless time, energy & money…read moresubmitting to agencies & managers and, in turn, have had some very interesting, pointless & waste of my time meetings & phone calls. I've signed with agencies that promised me things that they never even came close to fulfilling. I've been given the run around by so many people in the industry who claimed they 'know' what they're talking about and promised to jump start my career within a year or less, promised to land me roles on 'insert current popular show here'. I've gone to casting workshops, I've taken 8 years of acting classes, I've gotten new headshots over & over & over & OVER again. Anyways, my point is to let YOU, whoever is reading this, know that I've experienced pretty much any kind of crappy situation this industry can throw at you when it comes to trying to secure decent representation. Janine is nothing like the above scenarios I mentioned. She doesn't promise anything but to work hard for you & believe in you & your career. She's actually unlike any manager I've ever met in this industry. She has morals. She doesn't believe in taking money from her clients unless it's a percentage off of a job that she actually helped you book. She is supportive & encouraging. She submits you constantly & spends countless hours on phone calls to CD's, pitching her clients. She takes any meetings she can & is constantly networking to try & meet more people who may possibly be able to help her clients get work. Not only is she extremely professional as a manager but she also takes a general interest in you & cares for you as a person. She has never treated me as a number or made me to feel 'beneath her' or 'a waste of her time' like so many in the industry do. Each of her clients are treated by her as an individual who matters. She sees your potential as a person, as well as an artist. Trust me, if you sign with Janine, you'll be signing with a manager who sticks by you through thick & thin. She's awesome!
