Given everything going on right now. People need to have a little more empathy and patience for what medical professionals are going through. They are doing their best, working long hours, seeing hundreds of patients all while trying to squeeze us in at the same time. I called multiple urgent care type facilities to get an on going ear infection looked at again and medexpress was the only place that could get me seen within a 1-2 hour window. The process was easy and they got me seen within an hour or so. I saw the nurse practitioner Jennifer and she was extremely friendly and really listened to my concerns about what was going on. Very professional front desk staff. Clean facility with thorough care provided. The Physician's Assistant that saw me was excellent. Only gave 4 stars because while waiting in my exam room I heard the nurses talking loudly about a patient regarding her coming in previously. One staff member even called the patient a "liar". Makes you think twice about how great care was provided but what they are actually openly speaking about for other patients to hear when you leave. Yikes. Won't be returning this facility. UPDATE: I was contacted directly with a phone call by the clinic manager. She was extremely apologetic and walked me through how she planned on handling this issue. I am very impressed with the clinic's response. I know we are in difficult times and it's been hard on healthcare professionals. I definitely will be returning in the future. read more

I went to Med Express a few weeks ago and it was great. I went yesterday and I had the rudest OA named Michael. He informed me I need a PCP. I said I have one but they were 17 miles away. He then said I could not use Med Express as my PCP. In so many words don't come back. Then why are these people open? I needed express care. If you get this person walk out!!!! read more

I brought my friend in here after she had some drains removed from a surgery and was experiencing some signs of infection. She had not been prescribed an antibiotic after her surgery and gave off this busy, dismissive vibe. We explain this to the front desk lady and specifically asked if mg friend could be seen for a second opinion and to see if she would need an antibiotic, or if she would need to go to the hospital for this. The front desk lady said this was not a problem at all and the hospital would just be a different level of service, bug she could be seen here. She takes payment and does the paperwork. My friend and I go to the back and the nurses are pleasant and efficient. We get to the exam room and the doctor comes in wearing a sweatshirt like he just graduated from the bottom of his class. He immediately and curtly tells us he can't see her because he's not a surgeon and the surgeon is the only one who can see her. We explain that there seems to have been some confusion because we specifically asked about this and were concerned about an infection. He then uses a poor analogy that people can't fix others mistakes and we need to understand that. As we're leaving, he throws out that she may need a CATscan and she may have a seroma. He had not examined her at all and here he is offering up that the surgeon made a mistake and she has a seroma. We we asked about a refund, he lets us know that's something else he can't do. We ask the front desk lady about the refund and explain that the doctor wasn't able to see her. She retorts that the doctor had seen her, making it clear from the beginning she knew from the beginning my friend wasn't going to be able to get any help from the beginning. She also let us know we'd need to call billing to see about a refund. We did not know ahead of time that only her surgeon could treat her. But this place knew and intentionally left that out. So if you decide to visit this shady place, just be aware the doctor has a poor bedside manner and the front desk lady is happy to argue semantics and take your money. Gina- I did try to message you directly, but am unable to do so. As indicated, my review is for the Irving location. If you'd like the location to do better, please do look into the situation. I do not need help and would definitely look elsewhere if I did. My friend did call billing and was told it would be a 30 day wait and would require a phone call with the Vice President... seems excessive, but definitely on brand. read more

Y'all be careful when Amanda is picking up the phone she was very rude and annoyed with my call this morning. I found their urgent care online and saw that they are doing covid testing. (Searched their website but no luck finding any covid information) I called to get details about coming in. What time they opened and if I needed an appointment. If they took insurance and what not. She was so annoyed at my questions they were all answered vaguely as if she was so annoyed w my call. Of course I had 100 questions since it's my first time getting tested. When I asked for a manager she got very defensive when I asked to speak to her manager, the manager Julie apologized and gave me all the info I needed. What a difference. I had an appointment today and when I got there the wait time was 1 hr 42 mins. When I asked the nurse practioner Jennifer why it took so long she said that she was the onoy nirse practioner there, she went on to tell ne that this place is only for emergencies and told me to leave if it wasn't one. I made the appointment because I had a harsh cough for the past week, I literally could not sleep, and she only prescribed me cough syrup, after I made another appointment for Baylor and they gave me a antibiotic. read more

Best urgent I have ever been to in my life. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. The doctor was informative and helpful. I had to go twice, once for myself and then for my daughter and both times they addressed the issue and we were in and out within an hour maybe 2. I wouldn't recommend this place to my combat veteran friends who are in life support if it were the last place possible. Had a coworker test positive and went here to get tested. Followed their instructions, pulled up and waited in car, and sat in parking lot. Waited in the car for over an hour, watched 10 cars come and go. A couple who got tested and others who were frustrated and left. I called the office twice, both times to be told "oh that's right. So sorry, what car are you in again? Ok yes you will be next, we will be right with you". Then waited another 20m, and nothing. Called again, same lady said the same thing. I literally said you just told me the same thing. And identified my car type, 20m ago. She didn't remember. I finally found another clinic, while waiting in the 98 degrees sun blasting my AC. I put my mask on and walked in to get my ID and insurance card that they kept. As i entered, the nurse (white woman, blonde / light brunette hair) had the worst attitude and told me wait outside she will be with me when it's my turn. I said I just need my ID and Insurance card so I can find another place. She grabs them off the desk, hands them to me, and legitimately said nothing. No apology; no explanation, no empathy. Nothing. As if I inconvenienced her day. Totally understand the world is stressed and lots going on. But not an excuse to have 1) a shitty attitude, and 2) have poor communication. If you have a wait, or it will be an hour, or two. Just say that. I would have gladly waited. But to be sitting in a parking lot, with symptoms, after indicating my coworker is positive, and I'm struggling to breathe. Use your words. And have a little empathy. Otherwise there's plenty of people who became unemployed who could do your job much better than you can. Avoid this horrific place at all costs. read more

I seen by Dr. Linh Huynh, MD and this doctor was an angel I never mat a doctor besides my obgyn that was so concerned about how you were feeling and overall health I never got that kind of concern back in my home town everyone was very courteous and professional. I was always worried about finding a health care provider as well as if something urgent was to happen well that the least on my worries after visiting this establishment I referred my coworkers and friends that work in the area to this place and the office so clean and beautiful decor. All of the 5 star ratings are fake. This place is the most corrupt urgent care place in Texas. I went in for a strep test last year and they over charged me with the bill. After insurance I still had to pay $150 for a Strep test. The test itself cost $50 before insurance but they charged $240 just for walking in! It absolutely blows my mind the corruption of the place. There is another urgent care down the road that I would strongly suggest you go to instead. read more

Extremely appalled with the service at this Medexpress. First, I came in for a service explicitly offered on their website, and was told by both the front desk and nurse that yes they currently do offer said service. However, I was "treated" by the absolutely unprofessional Dr. Kary Holt. After explaining to him my symptoms and what treatment I wanted, I was told, "if you want that done, you should have gone to an ER, we do not do that at an urgent care". I told him that is ridiculous because the service is listed on your website. Yet, he refused to do anything else. I waited hours for Kary Holt to tell me that he will not treat his patient and suggest I seek care elsewhere. There was no follow up from either from nurses or Holt who personally said he would be in touch. This entire facility lacks organization, care, and will rush you out the door to try to get the next patient in. Save your time and money. What a complete joke this whole process was. read more

This place is awesome. I started off by calling to see if they were busy because I didn't have a lot of time. The receptionist was really nice on the phone and also in person as well. There was no wait when I got there and was able to be seen right away. The doctor was informative and really nice as well. The office later called with a follow up a couple days later to see how I was feeling. I highly recommend this place if you need an urgent care. I'd give 10 stars if it was an option Jacob at the front desk was so nice and personable didn't make me feel bad for being sick and having no voice ( laryngitis) the physician Kary Holt was SO NICE and down to earth ! Made little jokes that helped me feel more at ease- Reassured me that he was gonna get me better ! I was in and out in like 10 minutes which was crazy to me since today is a Saturday. Awesome experience. Was not busy, all paperwork was digital and I was seen in about 5 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly from the first phone call until completion of visit. The Doctor was very informative and had experience with my condition. My visit was about 30 minutes, received 2 prescriptions and was feeling better the same day. I woke up Monday morning Extremely sick, my primary care physician did not have any open appointments so I googled the closest urgent care to me. So happy that I came to this urgent care, I have been to others in the past that were not so pleasant so I wasn't looking forward to this visit on top of being sick. I was there first thing in the morning and the whole entire staff was very helpful, kind and welcoming. I was seen by the doctor within 15 minutes and he was friendly and calmed my fears. Dr Holt was who helped me and he was professional, quick and super helpful in getting me better ASAP. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone in the near area it was a pleasant experience under the circumstances I was in.
