I went in to be seen for being ill after my doctor diagnosed me wrong with bronchitis. I went in and saw Casey and she took really good care of me. I ended up having pneumonia. She gave me a breathing treatment and made sure I was feeling OK. She listen to all my concerns despite I was upset because of how awful I was feeling and she treated me with the most compassion including her other staff, Brittany Brad and I can't remember the others names but they all deserve recognition. They had an emergency walk in and still continue to take great care of me while dealing with that thank you all so much for making me feel better. read more

Dr. Melinda Cooper is an extremely hostile, argumentative and difficult Dr to speak to. She also doesn't listen to the patient concerns because she's too busy trying to be right. This doctor has absolutely no sense of urgency or compassion towards black people. I'd go stick to going to a primary Dr or any other Dr that is available other than her. read more

I never leave reviews but after seeing all the negative reviews, I had to. We have been coming to this urgent care location for about three years now. And I never have any problems. Staff is very polite. Surprisingly the wait is never that bad either. I've had many different insurances over the years and they've always taken them. Today we went in around 5:00- I thought the wait would be bad but we were in and out within an hour. Don't know why so many people are having negative experiences. read more

I was hesitant about going in just because I thought it would take forever. Fortunately, you can schedule an in-person or virtual visit. I scheduled an appointment on the same day and it was very easy. Rachel checked me in, and she stated she was just starting out and was still learning. I still thought she did great, was very friendly and welcoming. I scheduled my appointment for 4:30 but arrived since I knew I would have to fill out some paperwork. I was still seen before my appointment time. The Male tech, who I think was named Caleb, asked me some questions and seemed very interested in what was going on. I didn't feel dismissed or like just some other patient. I then met with the Nurse Practitioner, Melinda Cooper. She was outstanding! Listened to my symptoms and was able to get me on my way in a reasonable amount of time. Didn't feel rushed at all. Very happy of the care I received and the attention to my concerns. read more

I walked in at 930am for my son. The front desk told me to come back at 11 for an appointment. I waited an hour in the lobby before being seen. The nurse took swabs for strep, Covid, and flu and it's been 30 minutes of waiting. I feel the concept of urgent care isn't urgent enough. I understand it's not an emergency room but I'm not gonna waste my whole day because the nurses and doctors work sluggish. read more

This is supposed to be URGENT CARE--I would not recomend this service to anyone. Today in 93 degree weather i came out with no air conditioning in my car, only because this sinus infection is just getting the best of me. I had my insurance card and id and my 40.00 copay. No problems. All was there-"They wouldnt allow me to be seen or helped because i didnt have a credit card on file w/ them!!!""" Ok---You refused medical help to me as a recovered cancer patient with insurance and id card!!!. As sick as i felt, i left discouraged and still sick. Ive went there for YEARS, and never had any problems of any kind. So, went home sick today. I try to show love to everyone and never talk badly about anyone. I'm new to the area and my toddler woke up with a fever, I decided to give this place a shot and I'm glad I did. The front desk staff is really friendly. They allowed me to wait in my car until it was my turn. The doctor that saw my son was very nice and caring. Overall I had a good experience and if need be I will definitely return. read more

This was the worst experience I've had at a Urgent Care. Please DO NOT come to this urgent care to get the proper care that you need because it will not happen. I was sitting here for two hours waiting for a rapid strep test that took five minutes to come back. The doctor decided to go and see other patients before seeing me when I got there way before the other patient said he would see. And as well the ladies at the front desk seem to not like their job because they always want to have an attitude with somebody when asking a simple question of what's taking so long so this place will not be getting my money or my service. MedExpress Dual Highway Hagerstown Maryland. Went there for Pre-Screening for a New Job. Receptionist told Us 30 Minute Wait. I Said No Problem. My Kidneys was Busting when We Arrived, 3 Hours Later I Can't Stand the Pressure No Longer. My Wife Explained to the Receptionist that I Couldn't Wait Any Longer. I Had No Choice but to go to the Men's Room. It Wasn't that They were Busy, 3 People in and Out In 3 Hours. 3 1/2 Hour Total I am Called to go in. No Apologies, No Nothing, Worse Experience Ever. They Deserve No Stars, the Whole Experience Sucked. Run Don't Walk Not towards MedXpress but Away from it. I will never use this service again. Tried to have my nine year old daughter seen at the Hagerstown, MD location for a possible sprain wrist and the service was slow and subpar. The staff are very polite and tentative but the wait time is just unacceptable. Ask for x-rays and ace bandage and got x-rays with a sling two hours later in a half empty location. After we threaten to refuse care and all charges associated with the visit since we had not been seen after 90 mins of waiting. read more

What is "express" about this business? I'd really love to know. Customers are left waiting with no ideas and no communication. There's no triage, either, so people who are there for non-serious conditions get to go before patients awaiting stitches. Ridiculous. Oh, and they will have you sit and then someone will yell "Mr. Smith to window 3". What's wrong with that? THEY DON'T HAVE ANY OF THE WINDOWS NUMBERED! I took my son there for a sports physical for the convenient hours. The doctor proceeds to tell me that he has a heart murmur. I explain that he's never been diagnosed with any heart issue and that he's been examined by several physicians over the years. He is dead set on writing a referral for me to take him to a cardiologist that he happens to recommend. He also informs us that he has recommended several sports physical patients to this physician. I proceed to take him to my own cardiologist who tells us that he has no issue at all. Either the doctor is incompetent or he's striking up business for a cardiologist. Friendly staff, in and out in 30 min. That's the only reason a second star was added. During the pre-screening, I told them i had an allergy to an antibiotic I tried for acne when I was 15. Did they read any of that info? No, I get written a prescription for the antibiotic that I'm allergic to. Good thing I don't trust people and googled what it was. Then it took a day and a half to return my call and get them to write a new one. Not going back. On 6/22/19, I visited the MedExpress on the Dual Highway in Hagerstown, MD with an extremely swollen, red and painful left foot. I was treated very professionally by the staff and was attended to promptly by Coby Eccard, PA. I was very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. She prescribed an anti-inflammatory pain reliever, preliminarily diagnosed gout and/or cellulitis and referred me to Frederick Foot and Ankle for evaluation and testing. After my visit to Frederick Foot and Ankle, I realized how essential Cody Eccard's referral was because 4 years ago I had experienced a similar situation and was bounced around from doctor to doctor for 6 weeks who evaluated and tested but could not diagnose and did nothing to remedy the situation. The wait was so long. I waited over an hour and a half. No one gave me a time frame or an update at any point. Some of the staff seem to have an attitude and just rotate you through like factory. Not much friendliness or personality, they seem annoyed with patients. I got moved to an exam room from what I guess was a holding room, and no one told me if I was waiting for a doctor, when the doctor would be in, nothing. So I just sat there waiting around again. There's NO communication. I wish I had known that it takes days for them to get urine test results. I've been to another urgent care where I had results right away. The doctor was nice but I talked to him for maybe 2 minutes. Then, he didn't do my discharge summary before going in to see another patient. They wanted me to go wait again in the waiting room. At that point I just left. I definitely wouldn't come back to this location and I'd be hesitant to go to any MedExpress if this is how they are. read more
