My husband went to Piedmont North because he passed out at home and was very sick. When we arrived…read moreat the ER I kinda had doubts about it, but we needed to see a doctor quick. I will say that the ER was an ok experience. No issues there and they seemed to know what they were doing. They admitted my husband with pneumonia. When we got upstairs the day nurse and staff was amazing. Very nice and very helpful. Dr Riley that was assign to my husband seemed ok. The problems we had was that the night nurse was not very nice. We called a nurse to come in and help my husband up to go to the bathroom, waited quite sometime. Then I decided I would help him myself since no one was coming.( I had been helping him all day) and the night nurse came in fussing at me telling me I could not get him out of bed. If she had come in to do her job I wouldn't have to do it for her !! Also, they did not bring my husband any dinner that night I asked the night nurse if she could get him a tray and she said no they have quit serving. I said so what does he do, starve? She said I can get him a sandwich tray. She brought in a plastic container full of carbs. I said he can't eat this he's a diabetic. My husband had no food that night to eat. I asked to talk to the person in charge. After about an hour this lady showed up and she pretty much could have cared less if he ate or not. That's an area that needs working on. Very dissatisfied with the night crew of this hospital!! Next time I'll pick another facility!! Piedmont can do better!!!

I went to the emergency room at Coliseum MC and was admitted that night and the surgery done a day later. There is no way anyone can say that being hospitalised and having surgery was an enjoyable experience. At least not in my opinion. But the doctors and staff at Coliseum medical centre made this at the very least a very comfortable stay and I felt very safe as far as the virus was concerned. I was on the 5th floor. The nurses, the phlebotomists and the entire staff on the 5th floor are nothing short outstanding. The hospitalists and the entire medical entourage were very professional, competent, and attentive with regular visits, inquiries and updates before and after surgery. The surgery was performed with robotic assist by Dr. John Thomas Williams. I am looking forward to my final visit with him so I can personally thank him for his excellence. I am 73 years old and I've had 3 other laparoscopic surgeries without the benefit of the robotic assist. This stuff is nothing short of amazing in regards to the amount of pain after surgery. From a medical viewpoint we are living in the "good old days". Being hospitalized and having surgery could never be called fun. But, the attention rendered by Coliseum Medical Center, to my comfort, concerns, and condition were all attended to with excellence.

But finally when tests were done and we found out he needed emergency surgery it got a little better but we still had to wait hours til it was done. I am thankful to TMH that he used Dr. Glenn and Dr. H to complete a successful surgery and provide quality post surgery care. Now the pediatric staff deserve much praise as well for their kindness and patience. Shout out to Emily, Anna, Melanie, Megan, Madison, Kayla, Yuti, Ms. Christie, Ms. Sharon, Adrian and all of the other staff whose names I can't remember but whose presence is not forgotten. Yall made a terrifying experience a thankful one. It surely was a memorable birthday for him and we are so thankful I didn't take him to Piedmont. May TMH continue to keep and bless you all and your households!

They kept me informed of any updates eveey few hours I called and sent pictures on the EASE app so that I could see her everyday since I live 2 hours away and couldn't be there everyday. The doctors and nurses worked hard and diligently to take the best care of my baby as they could and to make sure she was well enough to come home. The last night of her stay before her discharge I was able to stay in the nesting room with her and the nurses checked on her and I regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. This hospital provides the best quality care possible.
