I also recently called when I was super sick and asked if I could come in and get tested for strep and mono and they said they don't do that there and to go to an urgent care. I'm very confused by a doctor's office that doesn't have the basic tests available to diagnose illnesses - It seems like this would be an integral part of the job. The last thing Is that they told me they could do an in-house breast ultra sound with their technician because I had had some irregular results in the past and didn't want to go all the way to Beverly Hills to see my regular breast doctor. But, I never received the results from this. While the bedside manner is lovely, the actual execution of effective medicine is yet to be seen.

The practice has become overly automated, making it extremely difficult to get in touch with staff or the doctor directly. Their website, which previously allowed messaging and appointment scheduling, has not been functioning for months. On several occasions I have had to go to the ER or urgent care simply because I could not reach my primary care doctor--who is supposed to be the first point of contact. When Dr. Emil was overseeing everything, the service was excellent; he is a great doctor. However, without proper access and communication, the quality of care is lost. I have since switched to another provider who is actually available to answer a call when needed. I hope this office can resolve these issues and return to the professional standard they once had, rather than continuing the current trend of being unavailable and overcapacity.

Much to my extreme delight and relief, Jennifer popped up eventually under her own "Ho'ano" massage company. I feel I can give five stars even though I have only visited her once at this new location (and even though I have that rule about not dishing out five stars unless there is some significant reason for doing so) because in reality, I have actually been to Jennifer several times before under the former name. I am happy to report that absolutely nothing has changed about her approach! She is incredibly attentive, does a lengthy and comprehensive "in-take" (she still did this at the new pad even though she does know me quite well already...think she just wanted to refresh her memory since it'd been awhile) and I did not feel in the least bit rushed all throughout. Add to that that she is, based on your needs and your conversation beforehand, willing to try different techniques/approaches...it goes WAY beyond "how's the pressure?" type accomodations. It is clear that there is no such thing as a "one client fits all" with Ho'ano massage. I've had insomnia issues for most of my adult life and have never been able to find a "holistic" remedy for it. When Jennifer does her lymphatic magic, I am even more thrilled to report that I am a'snoozing on the table before I can say "whaa happened?!" I have to request a nightly appointment with Jennifer...just have her come to my condo every night at around 10pm to ensure that I fall asleep. That shouldn't be too big a request.
