Anything more complex find a mechanic that'll give you a warranty. Aqueel can't afford warranties. Maybe be has a warranty on the PARTS but he won't replace anything for free and will look for you to pay his labour. Even if the part fails you're expected to pay labour. So if the part is $200 and it fails, you dont pay the $200 part he gets it for free but still wants you to pay his labour fee. Bollocks mate! Quite a scam and unprofessional behaivor. Pay the pretty penny at a real mechanic shop and get a warranty for parts AND labour. In so many businesses in this Country of USA when you replace a part they give you a certain amount of time as a warranty. Then replace that part FREE of charge if it is defective (manufacturer defect) in Aqueels garage you will still pay. This is a greedy way to do business and sadly me or my family won't go back. I will drive 30 or 40+ minutes to a different mechanic who is slightly more expensive but Sadly aqueel will no longer be getting my money. Sorry ol chap!

I called back to speak to her supervisor and told him it was unacceptable that we could not get our car back today since she told me, I'll call you when it gets here. Making it sound like it was on its way and never once saying it could be a day or so from this morning. So I called back late in the afternoon trying to find out why I haven't heard back and she told me I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I explained that my wife needs it for work tomorrow and why wasn't I told that. She then said she did tell me, which she did not. So after she hung up on me I called back and I asked to speak to her boss. He was no better than she was in rudeness and professionalism. Years ago, I had dealt with them before and now remember what she was like that time too. They may do great work there but I wouldn't know it but I'll tell you what with those attitudes I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone I know. I have never been treated so poorly by people who want to continue to do business in this town. On day two sometime just after 11 AM the lady from the front desk called with the estimate and we decided not to have the work done, she was angry and upset. I said I was leaving to pick up the car and that's when they told me it was taken to a subcontractor and she'll call me when it's back. I tried to interject that I would go pick it up, but she made it sound like it was already on the way. I was working and lost track of time and it got to be around 5 PM and I called back and she said the car is not there yet and that it would be there tomorrow morning. I told her that was unacceptable, because she knew my wife needed it to see patients as a traveling nurse. She said, I told you I'll call you when it's here and hung up on me. She knew from that morning that my wife was a traveling nurse and had patients to see the next day and needed the car but that didn't matter to her. Day three of dealing with Rich Lucas of Lucas Automotive Specialties and his representative at the front desk. I arrived at 8 AM, and another man was trying to help me but when Rich walked in he said I was wasting his time because I was looking for the best price for the work I want it done to the car and that they don't do estimates unless the work is being done there. (I ask you, what is an estimate for if you're gonna have to have the work done there and you don't have a choice once you get the estimate? No one I've ever dealt with before after getting an estimate done has demanded that I have to work done by them because they did the estimate. That is utter foolishness. So not only is he a mean old man he has deceitful business practices any uses fear and intimidation to try to get you to cave in to his view of things. We weren't even told until day two the car was taken to someone else to have the estimate done.) I went there at 8 AM to pick up the car and was told by Rich Lucas I don't listen because they said they would call me and no one called me. I said I understand but we need the car and I'll go pick it up. Rich said angrily, we don't work that way now get the "F" out as he stood up and pointed at the door. I said you're withholding my vehicle from me out of spite because we didn't have the work done here and I don't owe you any money, I'm calling the police. After the police came, he finally said the car would be there at 9 AM. I went back home and picked up my wife so she could leave straight from there. We arrived at around 8:40 AM and by 8:55 AM her car was still not there. At this point she took mine to see her patient and I waited inside where I could continue to watch the parking lot entrance. At around 9:20 AM I saw out of the corner of my eye Rich get up from the front desk and go back into the shop and then a few minutes later he showed up in the parking lot out front with my wife's car. Rich Lucas made me wait an additional 20 minutes, past the time he said the car would be there, knowing he had the car in the back the whole time. When he finally showed up with the car he had come from his back lot of which there is no access, except through the front entrance of which I have been watching since 8:40 AM. This means he is a deceitful, spiteful, lying, cheat. That's just my opinion after dealing with him for three days. It's also my opinion, based on my personal observations that he had my car the entire time and he was just being mean and spiteful.

This will be a very long review in order to include all info…read more.. This place used to be awesome... But over the last couple years the quality and integrity have drastically declined. Brought my jeep in because I thought the shocks were bad and had a check engine light, I was told the issue was a module for the air suspension. I was quoted about 2k to fix. It wasn't super important to me but I planned on keeping the vehicle so I just did it. Immediately after picking up the vehicle the engine light went on again and it was the same code. They looked at it again and said now I need some other 2k part. I told them I would have NEVER spend 4k to fix this and basically got screwed out of 2k. Fast forward, because I did have some history with this place I assumed what happened may have been a fluke but I was extremely wrong. Brought the same vehicle in because I had a code for misfire in cylinder 5 and the engine had a tick sound. They inspected and told me it just needed plugs and coils. I have a voicemail from them specifically stating a tune up will definitely fix my issue and it was almost 1,100! I said go ahead and do the work. Before I even picked up my vehicle they called and said I still have a tick and they can inspect more of course with added fees. At this point I was very mad that they misdiagnosed AGAIN and still intended to charge me full price. I called a friend who is a mechanic in Michigan and called my local Jeep dealer and with only telling them I had a misfire they BOTH immediately told me it's because of the cam and rollers which is like a 7k job! I then did a very quick google search to verify this and it seems to be a very very common issue with this make and model. I was then told by the shop manager that John (the owner) told him if we were going to "act some kinda way" over this that he would remover the labor and only charge us for the parts and to never come back (still over $500 for nothing). We had no choice but to pay since the vehicle was held hostage until we paid. Needles to say I was NEVER planning to go back there and it's really disappointing how fast this shop went down hill and no longer stands behind their work.

Honesty and humility goes a long way. Let's start with the good... these guys always listened and would even install my own parts when I could supply them. They knew that I knew what was needed and there was a common and mutual respect between us. This has changed over the last couple of years though. First negative; they pulled our Lexus into a parking space after service, left it unlocked over the weekend, and ran it into a light pole - denied doing it despite the line from the light poles base exactly matching the new crease in the car. Second negative; they replaced a T-Stat on my truck and dented and scratched the driver's side fender up high (tool drop, done this myself over the years) - denied it again despite pictures before and after drop off. Third negative; dropped off our convertible for service and they parked it under the tree full of berries (you can imagine what it looked like after the birds bombed it) the droppings stained a brand new top (light tan and now with blue spots). No apologies. No "hey, we'll get it cleaned for you". Nothing. Fourth issue (I'm a slow learner and guess I give way too much grace); I brought the Vette in for service and they mis-entered the millage out on the invoice. When I later had the car sold the deal fell through because the CARFAX didn't match the odometer and the upset buyer suspected a rollback even though it was only 3K miles different. I asked the manager at this shop to call this guy and let him know what happened. He refused to "get involved". When I pressed the issue he told me he couldn't correct this with CARFAX even though they knew they messed up. This wasn't true. It was fairly simple and I took care of it. He just didn't want to put in the effort and correct his mistake. Final straw; I brough my LS1 powered Corvette in to have the harmonic balancer changed. Got the car back and just days later something "popped" in the front end. To replace this part, the mechanic has to separate all the steering components and drop the engine cradle, drop the rack and pinion, sway bar etc. to access and replace the balancer (I know what I'm talking about as I've worked on cars myself for 40+ years - Grab some popcorn, Google C5 balancer replacement and watch the video). You need a special tool to separate these components (ball joints, tie-rod ends etc.) so you don't damage them and can ensure reuse of them when they're viable. Well, there are hammer marks all over these things. It's like repairing a watch with a set of jewelers' pliers or a giant hammer... you don't do it with a hammer (separate them by beating them apart) unless these parts are junk because beating on them with hammer to break them loose is like brushing your teeth with a wire brush or walking on your hardwood floors in baseball cleats. Needles to say, I've tried to get them to stand behind their work to no avail - apparently I upset them because I called them out on their mistakes, noted their carelessness, and I'm just too demanding. So, they have informed me they no longer will accept my business or my calls. I've yet to speak to or receive a call from the owner and I don't expect to since these guys have no integrity left in them. I guess it's fine to go here if you have a beater and need a set of wiper blades or a basic oil change, but SERIOUSLY stay away from this place for any substantial repair or diagnostic work unless you have the patience of a saint or of God Himself. I get it... there's always a knucklehead in every shop, there's just too many here now though. The manager obviously has no shame, no pride in their product, or is he concerned with their reputation. He and his junior managers have clearly lost their sense of right and wrong (perhaps it's time for them all to change carriers). This used to be a reputable shop a decade ago. A lot has changed. Respect is earned not used as a slogan. You reap what you sow, "Mike" (Dolf). You lead by example. You show and act with integrity and your team will follow. If not, you send em' packing. A shop that won't stand behind their work is not a shop for you to patronize. I'd like to hear from the owner or corporate but I don't think they really care about their customers either.
