The horses were easy to ride and you can tell they were very well taken care of! We had a hard time getting ahold of anyone there (lack of cell service) and finding a working phone number for the reservation at the Kodachrome location beforehand was tough. We were able to see Emily & Hap there at 9 a.m. in person as we drove by, so we stopped. The owners of this company need to improve advertising and how we can schedule these rides. So many people would love this! It feels like a hidden gem that needs to be utilized. We loved it!

Also, the way they advertise. It is totally misleading. You only got about a five minute view of the rim. The rest of the ride was through the Pines, and the only good views you got were of the guide, making a fool of himself. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU WANT A GOOD TRAIL RIDE.

She was great! My horse got quite feisty a few times and although I handled it well she was right there to make sure I stayed safe. I personally loved the adrenaline rushes but also want to be safe and she made sure I was and quickly took control. No complaints at all! Best ride in all of the times ever. The scenery on this ride is undeniably beautiful. Riding along the backside of the Zion mountains…read moreprovides incredible views, and that part of the experience was something I genuinely appreciated. That said, a few things took away from what could have been a great experience. The horse I was assigned, Dash, had a very nervous temperament throughout the ride. She would frequently get startled and suddenly run forward, which made the ride feel unpredictable and unsafe at times. At one point she jolted so abruptly that I was almost bucked off, which ended up causing a pinched nerve that I'm still dealing with. Because of Dash's temperament I also couldn't ride near my partner, so we spent most of the ride separated. As first-time visitors to the area, I was also hoping to hear some history or information about the landscape we were riding through. Instead, there was very little guidance or storytelling during the ride. If it weren't for the light conversation from Wendell, the wrangler riding toward the back with me, the ride would have been largely silent. Another issue came at the very end of the experience. During the ride, the front wrangler offered to extend our original one-hour ride. No one in our group had asked for an extension -- it was presented to us as an option while we were already out on the trail. After we had finished the ride, gotten off our saddles, and were preparing to leave, we were then informed that the extension came with an additional $140 charge on top of the $224 we had already paid to book the ride. That cost had never been disclosed when the extension was offered. Had we known there would be an additional charge, we absolutely would have declined. Learning about it only after the ride was finished made the situation feel misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of. I don't want to disregard the beauty of the scenery or the time spent on the trail, but between the unsafe temperament of Dash, the lack of information shared during the ride, and the undisclosed charge for an extension that had been offered without mentioning the cost, it significantly impacted the experience. For those reasons, I feel a three-star review is fair. Hopefully this helps future guests make a more informed decision when booking.

What a great time we had on our excursion navigating through the high desert of "Pick a Boo…read moreCanyon", our guide was J.c. and let me tell you this gentleman was a fantastic guide/host of our excursion. J.c. holds a wealth of knowledge and experience of the lay of the land, we were a party of four in one utv and there was a party of two in another utv, with J.c. leading the way through twist and turns to get to the canyon, the ride to get there was a great experience in its self!, it was a bumpy ride but that's the lay of the land!, your going to get dusty and dirty so expect it, and you need closed toe shoes as well. It's about a 15 minute ride from the base to the entrance to the canyon and well worth the ride!!, but when you get to the canyon that's where nature and J.c. wow you with such grand beauty and the wealth of knowledge that J.c. shares with you and the hike that you take through the canyon, nothing strenuous or stressful at all. You spend time exploring through the canyon and that's where you can take great pictures of the walls and the different topography that is there!, the weather was mild, mid to high seventy's so your comfortable in light layers, but again you will be dusty/ dirty but it's well worth it, pricing if fair, so make sure you book with them for any specials or discounts that are available, it's about a two hour excursion, so you really get your $$$ worth. So do your self a favor and book with this company and book one of the many excursion that is available to you!, again or guide/ host was J.c. super cool guy, and I know everyone else there that are guides are great as well, but J.c. was our guy.
