The food is a delicious mix of Peruvian and Venezuelan flavors, and you can really taste the freshness and quality in every bite. Their arepas are crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavorful fillings. Everything felt comforting yet unique at the same time. One thing I really appreciated is that the entire menu is 100% gluten free, but honestly, you wouldn' even notice because the food is just that good. Also, don't be deceived if the food doesn't look super "picture perfect" online or in photos (or at least my photos lol). It may not be the most photogenic food, but it's sooo worth it! I actually ordered almost everything on the menu because I had no idea when I'd be back in Lancaster again . My favorite was the fried rice with chicken and plantains, so flavorful and satisfying! My husband's favorite was the Lomo Saltado Bowl and Pernil Arepa. We also loved the yuca fries, which were perfectly crispy without being overly greasy. The only thing that disappointed me a little was the Esquites. It just didn't stand out and probably wouldn't order it again. Parking is limited and there's outdoor seating only.

Fire pit burning , Latin music blasting , people laughing and talking , the smell of meats and spices filled the air . I ordered the Lomo Arepa which was a fresh arepa filled with delicious seasoned steak , onions , yuca , tomatoes and fresh chimichurri on the side . Absolutely delicious !!! My boyfriend had the Chicken Lomo Arepa which was delicious grilled chicken, yuca , tomatoes and onions . Also delicious !! We also ordered the white rice and black beans and the Grandma Chellas fried rice packed with eggs , plantains and red onions. Loved the fried rice and its unique flavors . Chellas Arepa should definitely be on your list of places to try in Lancaster . The delicious foods , outside dining atmosphere, music and friendly staff all combine to make it one heck of an experience . Since it's literally only 5 minutes away we're definitely going back soon . Thank you Chellas Arepa !!

Definitely lemony, custardy egg thick and rice; this is something I'll need to compare with another, avgolemono. Perhaps the addition of a bit more chicken stock (to thin it out) and some larger pieces of chicken, would have evened out the flavors. Back to Lancaster's Greek restaurants, to include "gyros;" they're hella good, but expensive, elsewhere within Lancaster. I know; I've heard it all before: we make our pita and dips from scratch, our feta is flown in from Greece, fries are hand cut (yeah yeah, yadda yadda) and you leave, wondering why your bill for two gyros, was near to $70. This was not the case with Souvlaki Boys and they're gyros are just as good, tender, savory meat, soft pita, stuffed with your choice of homemade tzatki sauces, feta, loaded with fresh, crunchy salad veggies and yes, hand cut fries - all within this gal's budget.

Luckily, there's a private parking lot behind the store that you can park or you can street park. I think there is garage parking a short walking distance away. It's a quaint corner restaurant with indoor seating. You can dine in or take out. There's a bench to use if you're waiting for take out and there's probably enough seating for about 20 guests. Food is made to order. Expect to wait. The staff tells you ahead of time that it may take 15-20 minutes to prepare. I'm perfectly Ok with waiting for a freshly made order. The staff was super friendly and patient as I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. I opted for the classic gyro but without fries inside the pita. When we got our food, the gyro did have fries. The girl who brought our food offered to have a new one made without fries but we kept the gyro as is. The fries on the gyro didn't overtake the sandwich so it was actually pretty good. Ordered a side of fries also. Seasoned perfectly and not too oily/greasy. We never had baklava before. That dessert was very delicious. It was warmed and dusted with cinnamon as suggested by staff. It did not disappoint. Very pleased with this lunch spot. Worth the wait. Will try again. Thanks for a great experience.

The Dominican burger, as it's called, was just enough to whet my appetite ( no sides needed ), and I wouldn't ask the chef to change a thing. The ratio of bread to meat to sauce was properly balanced. I appreciate that he used thinly shredded red onions and lettuce in the sauce. Muy muy bueno! I have to admit that I was bugging out a little when I realized that the food truck is diagonal to the Lancaster County prison. I wasn't aware of that beforehand because I wasn't familiar with the area, and I didn't think about making a preorder for pickup. I was just trying to find some highly rated ethnic food on Yelp and just happened to stumble upon this listing. I was out there waiting for my food at 11pm for like 20 minutes. I wasn't scared or threatened... it was just a tad weird. the whole time I sat out in the park across the street from the cart I kept looking over my shoulder. The neighborhood Papi's were out there in full effect getting their late night grub. I also wished that the prices were listed on the menu. Someone posted a picture of the menu 4 years ago and chimis costed $5 each back then, but I paid $10 per Chimi. That's a helluva markup over a short span of time. On the bright side they do take cards unlike some other food trucks.

I called the number to make sure they would still be open, they said yes they were open till 2 AM. We quickly picked up our dogs and made the hike across town to check this place out. When you roll up you know it's good because there is a crowd at the window. We arrived shortly before 2 and were told a good 35 minutes for meals and loaded fries, which was fine. Our pups sipped on some water as we waited. The food was excellent! They only gave us 1 fork to eat it all but we managed. (We had already started to head home that's why we didn't ask for a second fork.) The staff is super friendly and if we go back again we are focusing on the Yaroas, they were phenomenal, the Longaniza was also yummy :)

We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

Looked like there was only 2 servers for the entire place which was busy. My husband liked his chili, so that's the two star review. He said it had a lot of flavor. I had the brisket sandwich which was very small for the price with not a lot of meat. The meat had no flavor at all. Was not served with the au ju, which I had to ask for. Unfortunately, the au ju did not make it any better. The Cole slaw had a good flavor and was not sweet, so that was the best part of the food.
