This place is great, awesome views and very clean . Susie and Jennifer are so friendly and helpful. I've stayed here before and will return.

Wow. Where do I begin. Absolutely no trees anywhere. No on site manager so if you need anything, expect to wait. Very expensive for what you get. On a positive note, the bathrooms and shower facilities weee very clean.

If you're looking for a simple stay, close to all, including a gorgeous bike path, this will do the trick. No one was there when we pulled in at 5 (they say they are open until 10), but they left a map & the park is small, so it wasn't rocket science. It was a little tough to find the dump drain, but it's there. The parking situation is a little wonky at first (especially if you're pulling in after a long drive), and may feel a little confusing. The utilities for each spot are just next to each other. Yours will have your spot number on it. We received plenty of communication prior to our stay, complete with a check in link. If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. It is right off a main highway, which didn't bother us at all but I did see some complaints here about noise. The noise was not bad at all, especially with windows closed and air on. We had vents and windows open and we were fine (and I'm a light sleeper/sensitive to noise). If you want less noise, I suggest you ask for a spot on the residential side of the park. You're also just next door to a residential community. Our spot sat next to someone's backyard. No problem for us, but this my bother some. The spots are packed in, but we paid $5 extra for a "premium" end unit, and that worked just fine. I will agree that it's a little pricey for what you get and how close you are to your neighbor. The end space was def worth the extra $5 for us, but the overall cost is a bit much. Bathrooms were clean enough, could have been given a little more attention as to how the trash can and paper bits were on the floor. But, again, if you're looking for a luxury resort experience, go elsewhere. We give it a 4 for proximity to town, access to bike paths, respectful and quiet neighbors, and some pretty epic views.

A beat up picnic table. There were various picnic tables scattered throughout the property that looked like this.

The only positive is that it is close to a great bike path! Here are the remaining "highlights": property had quite a bit of trash littered throughout. My wife actually spent an afternoon picking up a few bags of garbage around the park and an adjacent field. The restroom showers do not have a lock! The front office is only occasionally staffed. Don't bother emailing or calling as it is unlikely you will receive a response back. It is unfortunate - if the management cared, this place could be amazing.

We had a terrible experience with the customer service at this RV park…read more We had a reservation, but when we got there, there was no one at the office to check in. There was a sign saying to call if they weren't there. So we tried calling on three of our cell phones. No one answered. We waited for 15 minutes and finally decided to just find an empty spot and come back to the office in a bit (hoping someone would show up). Well as soon as we start to park, someone comes up on a golf cart and starts yelling at us. I don't mean politely asking us what we're doing, full on yelling. We explain that no one was at the office and the owner rudely says that there's a sign telling you to call. We explain that we did call several times and no one answered. She then checks her phone and gets kind of embarrassed, realizing she ignored our calls. She got nicer at this point and told us what spot we were in, but it was too late for me. Even if you didn't know what someone is doing, you could be polite about it. The RV park itself is fine but nothing special. The WiFi is awful, so don't expect to really be able to do anything on it. I would never recommend staying here because of the terrible management/customer service and bad check in process.

The owner, Maryann, is so accommodating and gracious. She escorted me to my site, made sure the hook ups were working and that I was lined up properly for my slide. She even delivered a UPS delivery to my RV! The owners are currently making a number of upgrades to the park and I look forward to seeing the changes when I come through the area again next year. I'll definitely be staying here again. Had excellent cell signals with both Verizon and AT&T. The park does offer complimentary Wifi that is good for checking email and Internet browsing, but as I enjoy streaming movies and music I used my own hot spot connections. Again, this is a great spot to stay a night or longer for an extended stay!

The booking agent at Picabo insured me that my guide, Zack Mayhew, would pick me up in front of my hotel, Red River Inn, in Stanley, and that he would call me the day before my trip. Zack called me at 8:30 pm the night of the 15th, and basically told me that the river was "blown out", and not enough water to fish it from a drift boat. This was a complete fabrication, as driftboats on the 16th were going down the Salmon River from my vantage point. So, if I wanted to fish on that Monday, I could get in my truck and turn around and drive back down through the valley an hour-and-and-half to rendezvous with him. This is not what I signed up for. I never received any phone calls from the management at Picabo apologizing to me. I'm under the impression they don't even guide on the Salmon River. It is too far north for them. So I was left, after driving from Bend, Oregon, to Stanley, Idaho, with no guide. I called the fly shop myself the following day and got a young man on the phone who tried to make it sound like it was my fault and I misunderstood. Really? He told me he would tell his management staff about me being stranded in Stanley, but I never heard a word back. How sad they couldn't even take the time to reach out to me. I would never use them. -Mike M
