The booking agent at Picabo insured me that my guide, Zack Mayhew, would pick me up in front of my hotel, Red River Inn, in Stanley, and that he would call me the day before my trip. Zack called me at 8:30 pm the night of the 15th, and basically told me that the river was "blown out", and not enough water to fish it from a drift boat. This was a complete fabrication, as driftboats on the 16th were going down the Salmon River from my vantage point. So, if I wanted to fish on that Monday, I could get in my truck and turn around and drive back down through the valley an hour-and-and-half to rendezvous with him. This is not what I signed up for. I never received any phone calls from the management at Picabo apologizing to me. I'm under the impression they don't even guide on the Salmon River. It is too far north for them. So I was left, after driving from Bend, Oregon, to Stanley, Idaho, with no guide. I called the fly shop myself the following day and got a young man on the phone who tried to make it sound like it was my fault and I misunderstood. Really? He told me he would tell his management staff about me being stranded in Stanley, but I never heard a word back. How sad they couldn't even take the time to reach out to me. I would never use them. -Mike M

Yes, this isn't a glamorous RV park, but y'all, it's $30 / night. We didn't WANT glamorous, bc that comes with a higher price tag. We wanted a place that would give us full hookups. Period. But here, we got... *A pull-through site *Great price *Easy access to the main road to Hailey *Clean bathroom with showers (no extra charge!) *Strong WiFi *INCREDIBLE access to the river and a gorgeous walking path *A sweetheart of a campground manager I saw someone had a terrible experience with a male campground manager - as of July 2021, that guy is gone and it is now an older woman who is a sweetie named Dottie. Don't think the manager is a jerk! That guy apparently has moved on. I feel like this is a hidden gem. I've stayed at junkier campgrounds than this with a higher price tag. As long as you're not expecting a resort experience, you'll be happy here.

I'll let yall do the math on your own, it don't add up) tried running our card multiple times at the beginning of the month without even contacting us first or checking to see if we were even planning on staying, WiFi never works and when you ask them to fix it they just tell you everything's working on their end, maybe it's a problem with your tv. (Tv is a fairly new Roku Tv, bought last year never had issues connecting it before.) . Had a never ending problem with mice here. (I caught 6 mice within less than 2 months.) And when loading up to leave, our water spigot wouldn't turn off. So I called to let them know that there was an issue and the lady was very rude and just told us "well our maintenance man will be a while before he gets there to fix it, its obviously been frozen and you signed an agreement that you'd wrap it to keep it from freezing, so you'll have to go and buy a T to shut it off, or I'll have to charge you for damages for flooding our park." (Which we did abide by our agreement, it was wrapped with heat tape and a foam insulter, our water didn't freeze up one time) Very rude and over all unprofessional. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Cell service and the WiFi was good. The water slide and pools were a hit with the kids and the adults. We didn't get a chance to do the mini-golf. The campground is well maintained. The only downside was that the store and water slides close at 6pm on Sundays. Don't waste your money!…read more Planned a get together with my out of state family and decided on renting 2 cabins at Anderson camp. I should have read the reviews before booking. I don't even know where to begin in explaining how awful our experience was. We paid $80 a night per cabin, plus a $25 refundable remote fee. When we called to book the cabins the person we talked to said it was private and that the spaces were apart so that we would have privacy but we were surrounded by RV spots. The pictures online are very misleading! On the site map it shows the cabins next to a stream with the doors facing the stream but that is not the case. The doors and the porch face the longterm RV spots which was not a nice view or private at all. The cabins were so HOT inside it was like sleeping in a sauna. Even tho there are 2 fans and windows you can open, it was so miserable, even at night! At 9pm I went to wash my hands in the sink inside the cabin and the sink started backing up. I found a plunger in the bathroom and when I tried using it in the sink a bunch of old stagnant, stinky, slimy and moldy water came up and you could tell it has been plugged up for a while. I had to call the after hours number and spoke to some lady who told me she would send the maintenance man over. About 20 min later he shows up stumbing all over the place, slurring his words and stinking like alcohol. He had the nerve to ask us "what we put down the sink" I told him we did not put anything down the sink and that obviously the sink had been plugged for a while. He then told me that he "has never had that happen in 7 years". I told him theres a first time for everything and that I was offended that he accused us of doing it. NO apology was given! After he fixed it he stumbled back out to his car and left. The cabins were dirty and full of cobwebs. Our fan quit working in the middle of the night, and in order to shut the light off without turning the ceiling fan off, we had to use the rickety chair to stand on in order to reach the chain to turn off the light. I called the next morning and talked to the "so called" manager and told her what happened....she didnt care. And again...no apology! She brought us another fan and said that the maintenenance man "her husband" was not drunk, he had just woke up....whatever lady, I know a drunk when I see one! For little more money we could have stayed at the KOA with AC, privacy and good customer service. To "Jason" the owner, your business has gone to downhill and you should either get rid of the clowns you have running it, or teach them some manners and how to treat their customers with respect. You should care more about how your customers are treated so they will actually have a good experience and come back. Do better!!!

We had a terrible experience with the customer service at this RV park…read more We had a reservation, but when we got there, there was no one at the office to check in. There was a sign saying to call if they weren't there. So we tried calling on three of our cell phones. No one answered. We waited for 15 minutes and finally decided to just find an empty spot and come back to the office in a bit (hoping someone would show up). Well as soon as we start to park, someone comes up on a golf cart and starts yelling at us. I don't mean politely asking us what we're doing, full on yelling. We explain that no one was at the office and the owner rudely says that there's a sign telling you to call. We explain that we did call several times and no one answered. She then checks her phone and gets kind of embarrassed, realizing she ignored our calls. She got nicer at this point and told us what spot we were in, but it was too late for me. Even if you didn't know what someone is doing, you could be polite about it. The RV park itself is fine but nothing special. The WiFi is awful, so don't expect to really be able to do anything on it. I would never recommend staying here because of the terrible management/customer service and bad check in process.

I'll definitely be staying here again. Had excellent cell signals with both Verizon and AT&T. The park does offer complimentary Wifi that is good for checking email and Internet browsing, but as I enjoy streaming movies and music I used my own hot spot connections. Again, this is a great spot to stay a night or longer for an extended stay!
