I had mixed feelings about coming here, considering the prices seemed some of the lowest in the state of New York, within the Manhattan and Long Island areas. When my friend and I pulled into the parking lot and saw lots of utility trucks, we started thinking perhaps this place would be filthy and noisy. We were actually surprised to find the room was clean, and nice enough to forgo those moldy shower curtains and instead, use a shower door. Nice! We even had a view of a forested area through our window, and it didn't cost extra. Double nice! We were put into a separate building from the other rooms that faced the parking lot in the typical motel/hotel fashion, so perhaps that is why our room was nicer than we expected. The only inconvenience was having to hold open a heavy steel door to enter the building while holding an umbrella (it rained during our stay), and then go up a flight of stairs, as there is no elevator. Still, a minor inconvenience. An iron and ironing board were provided, which was helpful for my friend who needed to iron his business shirt before the funeral as it was wrinkled in the luggage while traveling. The routine sheet and bedbug inspection did not reveal anything filthy or out of order. It's very simplistic inside, the bare minimum, but that is fine. We only stayed one night, and slept there for about 4 hours, so we did not need to spend $200 a night to get a modern, state of the art room. It definitely did the job, for less than $100. If you're looking to save up money and to just have a place to lie your head that is clean, this is a great alternative -- much better than the Flushing YMCA and other sketchy bedbug ridden spots in NYC that will have you up all night listening to the moaning hookers. read more

For the price you pay, you can't get a better offer. I honestly use this hotel for short says if I'm hooking up with someone and I'm not ready to bring them to my home. The price is exceptional for short says. The rooms are clean, big and spacious. I've started here twice and each time it was under $55 for over 4 hours. The rooms also have flat screen tvs, and the staff is friendly. It's also in a very good neighborhood. Jericho is a very safe town, so while the motel my look a little sketchy from the outside, it is extremely secure and safe. While I've only used this hotel for short stays, since I lived in long island, I would recommend anyone looking a value on a over night stay consider this location. Food is limited in this area, and there is very limited public transportation. You will need a car if your staying here. There is a local restaurant attched to the hotel, and one across the street, but I've never ate at either location. There is also a gas station right down the street in case you need any supplies, and a TD Bank across the street. Great location if you are here to check out schools. Suny Old Westbury, CW Post and NYIT are just down the street, and there is even a bus you can take to get to them, if you are here touring colleges. For the price you pay, again you can't beat it! I have another review on this place on their Facebook page and I have yet another from my recent small getaway from the terror of the city (lol). lets begin. Like I said in my previous review i was sketchy of it seeing i;m very very picky BUT this is an exception seeing as you can tell it was rebuilt a while back. This time we did the Jacuzzi room, it looked just as the picture referenced and also it looked cleaner than the last room we had which instantly made me happy, the shower and tub were very nice and the jacuzzi was on point and functional, no holes in the door this time meaning no creepy crawlers from outside. The t.v was great and though old it gave me a sense of being a kid lol which i liked. The staff as before were very very nice and now i see they have picked up on maintenance so we instantly got a few things fixed and a microwave and fridge, best service by far. no complaints really this time BUT i will say is that this hotel needs to install a top latch for the rooms because as me and my husband were soaking in the Jacuzzi we either did not hear or they did not knock loud enough for us to hear and a housekeeping woman opened the door and peeked in which is normal but scared me as keep in mind this is a outdoor lodge so its a 50/50 feeling of what could ever happen. Though she asked if we needed anything she was abit weird starring for some 5 odd what minutes and leaving which lead us to putting a chair against the door, yes we know why not no disturb sign? yes i also think they need to have a do not disturb sign up for them just in case. though we did get a noise complaint from the next door rooms saying our laughing and goofing around was too loud among others things despite the same rooms making noise all night making it hard to sleep but i was relaxed by the front desk person who called and apologized for having them ruin our little fun. we had a very good time here and loved it. we will see you again soon Meadowbrook read more

Well run, clean and pretty quiet. No-frills affordable lodging provides the basics for a night's rest-or longer. Stayed for 7 nights and very pleased. Will stay here on future Long Island based visits. Definitely recommend! read more

My husband and I were visiting the powerhouse gym in syosset and we decided since we always train so hard and get tired during that hour and 15 mins trip back to flushing we decided to look up hotels and we were on a tight budget so this came up at first I was very iffy seeing as i'm very cautious of things such as rooms being clean and bug free. So we reserved a room first off the price was really good 85 for a night wasn't bad and way cheaper than spending almost 150 at a regular hotel farther away from the birtchwood community ( we walked to our gym sooooo we needed something close). My take on the room: although we only wanted one bed they gave us a room with two which wasn't bad actually was helpful when organizing gear and all. The beds were clean and soft and smelled very nice and yes we checked for bugs and nothing. The bathroom was okie some ware on the bathtub and sink but nothing dirty so i felt comfy. now the door to the room was my biggest turn off, one the bottom of the door was sealed with tape like packing tape and the wall with the AC and the door had too many cracks which lead in bugs only about 2 or three which i killed but I'm not a big fan of bug especially when its where i sleep, also the door looked banged up as if someone was hitting it hard and the lock on the door i couldn't trust i like two locks seeing as its an open motel so anyone can really come into it as they please, also the soap was turn off too, the soap was cheap and itched our skin but manageable. Also though some reviews said you can hear other rooms we didn't only time we could is if you passed the room. The room did smell a bit when we entered but went away with time, i assumed they used bad smelling products to clean the room but overall it was clean. The chair had some ware but safe enough to sit on. My decision is i will use this hotel again IF its for one night only, the turn off was the bugs and cracks in the door. as for long stays i will be in another hotel. otherwise the staff was nice and they stay was fun its just not a long long stay hotel a few days tops that's all ( if they fix the doors) read more

Don't stay here it's full of mold and has roaches as well as dirty old mattresses it's overpriced and very poor service you can go less than a mile down the road for a few bucks more and stay at a very classy well-maintain establishment named the Jericho inn the managers there at the Meadowbrook inn are very rude and confrontational and I just say for the money it's not worth it and during this time of the coronavirus you want to stay someplace that is very clean and sanitary please do not stay here if your health conscious or if you have any good sense it's not worth the risk read more

Horrible ownership. There's only 2 people allowed in the jacuzzi room and no more than that and if u want a refund forget about it. If you try switching rooms so the 3rd person could join they give you an attitude saying they shouldn't even do the deal cause you violated the agreement. read more

Please notice that the other reviews are all pretty old. I booked through an on-line booking site - saw reasonable prices and thought all places in Long Island would be fine. I was WRONG. Parking lot seemed weird, LOTS of utility trucks. (Never asked why but it's in an old review as well.) Couldn't find the office and when we found it, the clerk is behind bulletproof glass that I pushed my credit card under. Final straw was seeing the room. Room gave us both the creeps and we thought we could stay anywhere. (We were proven wrong.) Sheets and blankets are torn and old. There were mattress encasements (fancy name for bedbug protectors) with holes (so they wouldn't work anyway) on the bed. When we asked for a refund (yes, they ask for money upfront), we were given a total refund with an "I totally understand" as an answer. I am not a person that likes motor lodges because of sanitary reasons. However this one seems to have clean rooms and sheets. Only problem is when I was here I was in a room below and I heard ppl walking or something very loud. However I am coming back when I need a quick get away from say relatives. The t.v is clear has cable. The bathrooms are clean and so are beds. Thank good I didn't see any " "working ladies" around. It is very affordable and there are several places near by for a nice dinner. One thing I truly liked about this place is that , its a quite place. Do not stay here. For 20 bucks more u can stay in a safer cleaner Marriot a mile away. Sheets dirty, towels dirty, room smelled like smoke, shady neighbors. Just an absolute no. We really like the location and the antique look.But the bathrooms need restoration ASAP and the rugs and curtains need to be cleaned more frequently. You could smell the dust and the water pressure was almost inexistent in the shower. Breakfast was very good I really liked it and the service was great! hey people. I arrived from California on May 1, 2015 and in the following 15 days, up until the 15th, I had spent a total. of about 10 dys there. On the 14th, i think was a Saturday i called ahead to reserve a room with a microwave and literally had to argue with a young man for the micro. I believe at $95 for the night, I should have my own micro. and when I arrived, they gave me one. when i got to my room which was #229, there was a faint odor of marijuana in the room. When i called down to complain, i was asked to return to the office for a refund. Which i did promptly. Some rooms were nice others were not. The girls that worked there were very accomodating, the young man wasn't. And when i told the young man i would get on the internet and post a complaint, that was when i was asked (nicely) to come get my refund. read more

The motel is your run of the mill lodge, the one thing that really bothers me is the cigarette burns in all of the sheets, they should definitely get new ones as this just looks horrible. Other than that it is a quiet and semi-clean. The parking spots are way to close together, I am glad I did not drive one of my nice cars as I probably would not have stayed here just because of that. read more

First off let me say if you want a decent affordable clean semi updated place to stay that is quiet you should defiantly consider this place. Also has good hourly rates. The rooms are pretty clean however the bed quilt sometimes has cigarette burns in them but you can throw the sheets off not a big deal. Bathrooms are very clean. Cute desk, table, draws, and nice flat screen tv with good channels and quality. Front desk is helpful in accommodating your needs don't be afraid to ask them. Vending machine ice machine in the lobby so that's useful. Broadway Mall and fast food is close by. If your not looking for a 5 star hotel you will be satisfied. read more
