Typically, with online, you get questionable quality and box stores are not great quality or super cheap or super expensive. Enter Budget Office Furniture! There are three rooms, entrance with new, upstairs with a combo of new and used and then the used room. Need a new or used desk? Check. Need a conference table? Check. Bookcases, filing cabinets, office chairs, tables, credenzas, hutches and so much more. If there is something that needs to come from a catalogue or custom pieces, they have that covered. Need modular office furniture? Got that too. Great customer service, great prices on used furniture and good prices on new and custom office furniture. If you have a home office, think about upgrading to actual office furniture instead of IKEA or box store/online. I will have to rent a truck to get a couple of pieces I need to actually have a home office since I am a remote worker, need good furniture and have a professional feel.

I asked for a barrel to be cut, threaded and recrowned. Tom did this to my satisfaction but he…read morealso added a thread cap to my order which I did not ask for or needed. Also, the cap diameter didn't mate up with the barrel diameter. Which doesn't look natural. I could get the same look with one of the many thread protectors I already have. This additional, uncalled for work cost me extra. Also, during this same time I asked for a common Weaver scope base to cut in half and have it mounted to a slide that required drilling and tapping two holes in the slide. Tom did this to my satisfaction but he also said it required the bottom of the base to be "machined". It did not require this nor did I ask for it. This also added quite a bit of expense. To do what I only asked for i was expecting a bill of around $175 instead it cost me $210. If you are fairly local to him and don't want to send your firearm off, I would recommend Bent Horn Gun Works. I suggest writing down exactly what you want done and no more and have a copy for Bent Horn. Also get a price before hand. I did, that's where the $175 was expected but it didn't turn out that way. In the end, I paid, took my items and left.

I did, anyway. So it's wonderful to see two familiar faces when I go to Hometown Hardware. This store is smaller than St. Paul Builders, but Steve and Jerry are quick to order anything you need. I wanted some DAP plaster-of-Paris powder, and it was waiting for me the next time I went in--and at a good price. Steve and Jerry are professional, accommodating, and also very nice and friendly. I predict that Hometown Hardware will become as much a local institution as St. Paul Builders was.
