First time going to ME Time and the experience was wonderful! I received a surprise birthday gift from Beau and was treated to a couples massage. The owners are outstanding and very personable. I already understand the benefits of massage therapy very well but they are very knowledgeable and informative about any concerns you may have. If your body conscious also their very professional. The room setting was very clean and comfortable Oh! and let me tell you about the bed warmers. I'm also pretty sure I want a Google Home now too :). Maelynn and Eric were such a pleasure! They also gave great advice on how to improve any concerns. Compliments to Eric and Maelynn. In addition after we left we both agreed we felt like we could breathe better! I also had much less shoulder pain when sitting down to dinner. Furthermore I was told the deal we used was through Groupon which is a great savings! You get what you pay for. For a couple's massage at 50% off, I wasn't expecting too much. If you're looking for a deep tissue massage at a large salon with bathrobes and steam showers, this isn't your place. It's very small and quaint, with just two rooms inside of a strip of offices. They were very nice, and it was relaxing. For $100ish + tip, it wasn't bad - but it also wasn't the best massage I ever had. I would advise people against the sugar scrub. It's an extra $15 PER person, which was not clear to us at the beginning, and it's just an off brand sugar scrub, nothing special, that they only scrub onto your back. I was under the impression it would be the whole body, but I also didn't ask for clarification. So you pay $15 for 1/20th of probably a $6 bottle of sugar scrub. read more

My boyfriend & I went to get a couples massage here a few days ago after purchasing a Groupon. The place was very small, the people were friendly. We were about 20 minutes late due to some traffic. We had a 60 minute massage & it only lasted about 25 minutes. The room itself was very dark, quiet, & relaxing. The massage was just ok so I would probably never pay the full price there. The female masseuse seemed better than the male. It felt like my masseuse was trying to rush using minimum technique. I'm not sure if we will be coming back unless we want a cheap massage. There are a few other places in CT I would prefer. Overall it was a moderate experience. read more

The massage: fantastic. The therapists (Eric & Maelynn) paid close attention when we described our trouble areas and spent extra time on them. We had a sixty minute couples massage, and we spent the entire time talking with the therapists about what hurts and why they thought that might be and what we could do in our daily lives to improve our aches and pains. I had the pleasure to be paired with Maelynn and it was absolutely phenomenal. She clearly knew the underlying muscle anatomy and with precise, sure manipulations she relieved so much tension in my shoulders and calves. The venue: typical calming ocean-like music. But that's where the status quo stopped (and honestly, what else can you put on the speakers at a spa?). While the office was a little on the small side, it was not crowded. And the massage room was huge. It was spacious, with plenty of room for both therapists to move around the tables without hinderance. The open space and mood lighting helped foster a feeling of calm serenity. Recent massages I've had have been very generic and in tiny, slightly claustrophobic spaces. At Me Time, they truly pay attention to you and your aches and pains to offer you a completely unique massage tailored to your needs in a comforting, calming space. I will absolutely return to take advantage of their expertise and their memberships. read more

We were disappointed. We went twice, had to return to use a special; otherwise, lose on what was spent on it. Both times they called to adjust our appointments, making it a bit inconvenient for us, each time. The massage technique of the female was better than the male. I wasn't too thrilled with our first definitely last experience at ME Time. I bought a couples massage thru groupon for my sister and I, we have been working hardl lately and hadn't had a chance to connect as mommies why not do this.. plus I figured if .. I give this as a present. this could be perfect for my other sister in November and convince her to bring me and maybe my best friend in july.. cus lord knows I need some pampering. . lol . Well we got there at 1235.. I said hope I'm not too late.. he said fine... when the appointment was booked it was never advised to make sure we were aware paperwork would be needed to fill out or that the time would run as of appointment time.. nooo... they conversed asked personal questions of what we did.. chit chatted with us as if there was plenty of time.. never making us aware or saying let me get you in asap.. again.. advised us of your rules..by 1255 they came in... they even took time to tell us that of the two masseurs, the guy applies more pressure and the woman applies less. So, I went with the girl.. and my sister went with the guy Well, "less pressure" was accurate .. I should say no pressure at all. I wanted above all else, for my shoulder to be worked on and I received hardly any work on it. By 130 to the dot, not one more second.. they said ok you can get dressed.. they stepped out to get us water.. once I got dressed I asked about the time.. and than they informed us of there time started at 1230pm.. I'm not going to argue.. for what.. I don't recommend this place.. they might rob you of "your" Me Time with chit chat.. but most importantly because you are not going for a massage.. just to get touched.. and not what you're looking forward to.. to unwind.. but hey .. it's your money.. and mine was spent in vain with them..now to find a new place for my gift idea.. Went here for a couples massage with my girlfriend. Place tiny and had an odd feeling to it. Used a Groupon to go as many others might but I would consider a different massage place. It was basically just someone putting lotion on your body for about 40 minutes not even the full hour. I wouldn't go again but to each their own. read more

We have been to ME Time on two separate occasions for a couple's massage. Both times have been great. This most recent time was right after Valentine's Day and there were cute decorations around the office, love themed music playing during the massage, and a little box of chocolates waiting for each of us after our massage. When you enter, they tell you which therapist will be at which bed so you can choose who you would like without feeling pressured or awkward. The beds were very comfortable and they can adjust the heat on the bed heater to your preference. The oils they used did not have a smell to them and were nice and warm. A full 60 minutes of relaxation. Highly suggest! read more

I received a Gift Certificate for a one hour massage and sugar scrub. My GF specifically asked if there was a female therapist available for me and they said yes. When I called to make an appointment the male therapist stated that the female will only do couples massages and that if I didn't want a male therapist then that was my problem because it shouldn't matter. He even had the audacity to compare my not wanting a male therapist as the same as not wanting a black therapist. Horrible customer service and even told me that if we wanted a refund that we needed to battle Groupon. Stay away!!! read more

I purchased a couple's massage on groupon and I was quite disappointed. My boyfriend asked the masseuse to focus on his back and got charged an extra $10. He specifically requested that the masseuse focus on the pain in his right side and completely avoided his request. In addition to this, we felt pressured to leave a tip since we were asked directly if we will be giving them a tip (which we were planning on doing just because we're nice people). We arrived early to fill out paper work which took only 5 minutes but due to the female therapist constantly talking and telling stories, we started our massage 15 minutes late. Not only that, but they ended 5 minutes early as well. The female therapist also constantly talked the entire time asking about my boyfriends work in detail which is the last thing he wants to talk about when getting a massage. As another person mentioned in an earlier review, he didn't want to be rude and tell her to stop talking but she did not get the hint. It was very unrelaxing and we were cut 20 minutes short. In addition to this, I received an email asking for feedback so I kindly replied explaining my disappointments. I was not seeking a refund and I was very respectful with my words. I received a very unprofessional email back saying that basically we should have arrived even earlier to fill out paper work so it was our fault the massage started late. The paper work was ONE piece of paper that took five minutes. I was also told that many people love being talked to during their massages so we should have said something. I was startled by the rude and defensive response especially because I was asked for feedback. I will never be going back to this place and I would urge others to avoid if possible!! read more

The techniques were great and we definitely felt relaxed following the massage. We felt as though the massage was rushed (and it was under an hour from the time we arrived on site :/ ) and that they ran out of things "to do", which I've never had that feeling during a massage. A friend of mine purchased a Groupon to this place for me as a gift for my bridal shower. What a disappointment. I arrived 15 minutes early as I knew it was my first time and wanted to give enough time to fill out paperwork and still start my massage on time. I still wind up starting my massage late because the 1 room that seemed to be available at the time was still in use. I was also annoyed because when I got there, the lady asked me if I preferred deeper pressure (which I do) and then told me that she doesn't do that and I would have to reschedule if that's what I wanted. It was a Friday and I really just needed to relax so I said fine, I'll stay. We finally started my massage about 12 minutes after it was supposed to (I looked at the clock in the room). Then, the masseuse started talking to me. Like asking me questions about my life, giving me her life story. I felt too bad to ignore her but she just couldn't take a hint! Told me her entire life story throughout my entire massage which I was not happy about since I just wanted peace and quiet. She barely massaged me- felt like she was squeezing my muscles softly for the time that I was there. And to top it all off, when she leaves the room and I look at the clock- she finished 8 minutes earlier and she already started 12 minutes late. I was pissed, I will never go back to this place.
