This spa a very relaxing environment, and I had a great massage. I appreciated how calming it was. I will definitely return!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! I paid $700 in October 2024 to this company, Elite Massage for a massage package but I never received the massages due to a medical situation outside of my control and they refuse to refund my money. Elite massage are rude crooks and they don't care at all about their clients. I have several unexpected complications following my surgery and I am now in and out of the hospital. I kindly reached out to them and explained my situation and asked for a refund but they said NO. Even though I never received the massages and didn't even have a chance to make an appointment for the massages, they said NO. I went into the hospital a few days after I paid them $700 and I have been in and out of the hospital since then. I can't afford to lose $700, I'm a single mom of 4 children and I loss my job due to my now ongoing medical issues and my medical bills are mounting each day. I don't wish this situation on anyone! I reached out to them again a couple of weeks ago but they didn't respond at all. I asked if we could come to some sort of agreement but they are not responding to me at all. The worst massage I've ever had. I'm an athlete and have gotten a lot of massages over the years and this was by far the worst massage I've ever had. The place was dirty and not maintained well. The lady who worked on me had the worst attitude and seemed like she didn't even care to be there. I signed up for a deep tissue massage and she gave the lightest pressure ever even though I asked her twice for more pressure. The whole time it seems like she had no idea what she was doing. She also wore no shoes and I could smell her feet when I was facedown. And finally, I had booked a 90 minute massage and she only did 70 minutes of it. Probably because she had no idea what to do. I was in the mood for a massage so I booked an appointment fairly last minute at this place. When I arrived, I was skeptical because of the building it was in (picture posted) but when you walk inside you are transported to a serene environment that you would never guess was inside this building. I had the BEST Swedish massage - very thorough, perfect pressure - I have zero complaints. I also almost feel like my masseuse cleared out my sinuses too haha. Absolutely loved it! I went the their Bloomfield location and it was an awesome experience!! The atmosphere was so calm and the two young ladies there made sure our visit and relaxation time was perfect! Honestly it was so much better than any of the "luxury" spas I've been to. It hits a chord with me and the personal touch is what makes it so much nicer. We went for our Valentines day couples massage and it was so relaxing and the champagne and strawberries at the end iced the perfection cake. Was just scheduled a 1 hour appointment at the Hartford location. Got Uber ride there for $20. Half way there they notify me they already had booked the 2:40 appointment. So I had to get a $28 Uber right back. I would not recommend them just for customer service. read more

Maria did my massage. It was the best massage I have had to date. I had a 2 hour couples massage. I explained that I have some right shoulder range of motion needs and requested deep pressure. Pressure was perfect. Maria spent time on my upper body and shoulders as part of my full body massage. During all parts of the massage I felt comfortable and respected, with the sheet and blanket alway covering parts that were being massaged. My shoulder feels amazing and my whole body relaxed. My only complaint is that the table and room were colder than I would have liked. I also didn't ask to make it warmer. I'm sure they probably would have if I asked. I do not recommend this place. My husband booked me here for a massage in July for my birthday. The day of they tried changing my appointment time and we couldn't make the time they wanted us to come. We were told we would be granted a refund since the massage therapist wasn't available during that time. Needless to say we didn't get a refund and we are in the middle of fighting the charge with the bank. Also, it's not in a good neighborhood. It's in the downstairs of a bailbondsmens building with metal bars on the window. It was beyond intimidating. I'm not confident I would be able to relax enough to enjoy any massage feeling unsafe. Shame on this place for ripping off people. They probably know once people see their building that they will cancel and that's why they don't issue any refunds. Discussing customer service. Her hands are literally soft as silk and she applies the perfect amount of pressure and makes sure to check and make sure of my comfort level. The ambiance, oils, massage are a 10 out of 10. Wow! Elite Massage is incredible! I have received professional massages for years--Thai massage, Chinese massage, deep tissue, etc., I can tell right away how good or bad the massage is. Rose was my masseuse--she is fabulous to work with - she worked very well on the tension in my back-- I enjoyed the deep pressure and she focused well on my tension areas. Don't judge Elite Massage by its exterior, the inside is well decorated and tranquil. Highly recommend! read more

I had an excellent visit yesterday to Tia at Elite. I've been working long hours, lots of time in the car, haven't been exercising as much as I like, and my back was really knotty, cranky and sore. Needed a strong, thorough massage. I let her know all this, and after an intake interview and the appropriate forms for a first visit, she went to work. It was evident to me, and she confirmed when I asked, that she not only is a massage therapist, she is a weightlifter. So she is very strong and was able to really dig in to the many problem areas in my back. At the same time, though, she has an excellent feel in her hands, so she was able to sense what my muscles needed, and no more. She also took direction well if I needed her to ease up in a sore area or to push harder than she had expected she needed to. Excellent massage, as I told her after, the best one I've ever had that didn't involve hot stones. And the equal of an amazing hot stones massage I had 11 years ago. In addition to being a superb, professional and attentive massage therapist, Tia is courteous and friendly. Lots of good cheer. And her facility is organized, well appointed, comfortable, warm and welcoming. The building she's located in, on the second floor, is somewhat rough on the exterior, But I encourage potential customers not to be put off by that. The massage you get, the person who gives it to you, plus the studio, are gold. She's a block and a half from the big court houses near the Capitol. I would say it's a great place for a break from work during the day. I visited after work and was happy I did. All that, and her fee was more than reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

Booked a last minute couples massage and couldn't have been more happy. Our massage therapists incorporated stretching into the mix and we loved being able to choose our own music. Wonderful space, so glad we weren't deterred by the outside. The rooms were very nicely accented. Great staff who were very considerate and attentive to our needs. read more
