I have been rebuilding a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ for three years now, and have relied on this team to advise me and perform the hard work of making it run like new again. Well, with 218,000 miles (plus), my Jeep is running better than new and I love it! Best customer service and loyalty to customers!!! Recently, I had to repair my front drive shaft as it was freezing up (after 218K miles, it's inevitable). They gave me a repair quote which was reasonable, and went to work. When I received my Jeep back a few days later, there was a BRAND NEW drive shaft in place of my old one. Lloyd told me they couldn't repair the extensive damage, however since they quoted me an amount to repair the old one, they only charged me for the original repair cost. The new driveshaft was significantly more expensive, but Manny said that when he gives a quote, he stands by his word. AMAZING! It's gets better... I took the Jeep home and noticed a vibration at higher speeds, so I consulted with Manny and Lloyd about it. The took it back immediately and did a thorough investigation on everything including the new driveshaft. Not only did they replace the new driveshaft with a much more expensive one, but they charged me ZERO for the work! I didn't even need to sign a paper when they returned it to me. My Jeep runs so well now, thanks to this team! Poway Transmission strongly believes in customer service and the honorable delivery of expert care. I trusted the recommendation to have a solenoid valve replaced here called last week to get parts ordered and scheduled in bcos I live up north but work in San Diego. I filled out scheduling a visit that got no response. So I decided to give them a call as I've spoken to Monica and she is the one that does all paperwork and order parts. She said she'd get quotes and call me back. A few days went by no response, so I call again. I'm working on it, I'll call you back. Today is a new week and still no response. It's shocking when I tell people who recommended me, what I've began to go through and their responses were to contact the Dunns because that's not how they do business. I have yet to do that but I'm considering the suggestion. I can't seem to understand why Monica's behavior has changed this way towards helping that shop earn business. It went to WOW Automotive 2560 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065 The car needed to be looked over as it had been sitting for over a year. When I arrived from Northern CA my brother showed me the list and inspection report including a smog. It was very detailed including new tires, oil, sensor, battery, full inspection, and other items. I looked over everything they did on the car and it had been done! I had one minor issue so I stopped by the shop where I was greeted by 2 employees and the owner. The shop was very clean and laid out nicely. They obviously took great pride in this shop. They were very friendly and immediately took my car in and put it on the rack. The owner showed me my concern (was listed in the inspection) and I felt the interaction was very positive and nothing that needed to be addressed immediately. The car runs excellent and I felt that WOW is a very honest, trustworthy, and transparent shop. To find a shop like this is very hard, based on my past experiences with dealerships (I can tell you stories where I get charged $65 to replace a cabin filter-which was never done). The price that was paid for the services was reasonable and fair. I was very impressed with the owner and staff. I would not hesitate to HIGHLY RECOMMEND WOW!

He did a quick preliminary diagnosis and gave me a fair quote for the alternator parts and labor. A few hours later, instead of just doing the expensive repair, he called me and explained that the alternator was actually fine -- the real problem was a wire that was shorting out and causing the symptoms. The repair ended up costing significantly less than expected because they were honest enough to fix the actual issue instead of replacing parts I didn't need. I also had them change the fluids and filters while it was there. He said it looked like my spark plugs needed changing as well. Everything was completed quickly and professionally. It's hard to find shops that are this honest and transparent these days. Highly recommend Total Care Transmissions for their integrity, communication, and quality work.
