I reached out to this company for a quote on installing a whole-home surge protector. They asked me…read moreto send photos of my electrical panel, after which I was quoted $496. When I asked what equipment they would be installing, they sent me a part number. After doing a quick search, I found that the exact device costs about $183-$200 retail. The electrician arrived at 7:33 AM and left at 7:52 AM (verified on my cameras). Despite the installation taking less than 30 minutes, I was still invoiced for the full $496. When I questioned the timeframe and cost, the response I received was simply that I had been quoted that amount. To me, this reflects very poor business ethics. A company should stand behind fair pricing and transparent practices--not charge customers nearly three times the cost of the part for less than half an hour of work, with no willingness to explain the discrepancy. I would not recommend this company, as their practices clearly do not put the customer's interests first.
