He is able to boil complex situations down into understandable sound bytes without patronizing or oversimplifying, and never has led us astray in his advice. He's personable, efficient, and very easy to reach, even during tax season. John Massey is one of the reasons we don't dread having our taxes done.

Steve Alpinieri CPA along with his team of financial professionals offer a full array of accounting…read moreand financial services (both personal & business) that includes: tax preparation/filings, financial planning, bookkeeping, payroll, business entity formation/sale & management, CFO services and much more! This place is definitely an ONE STOP shop for all of your financial needs - we were referred to Steve Alpinieri years ago by a good friend for some business tax filings and bookkeeping. After we sold our company (Steve & his team also prepared those financial docs for the sale of the business), our family began using Alpinieri CPA for our personal finances/planning and tax filings. From the moment we met Steve, we felt his kind care, attentiveness and professionalism. Whether on email, phone or in-person, Steve & his team always proceeded with expertise/extreme knowledge in answering of all our questions meticulously. Our previous CPA would take days to respond to a simple question. Steve, on the other hand, has always been available to quickly answer all of our questions and navigate us through the complicated tax guidelines along with the ever-changing laws. In short, we would recommend Steve Alpinieri and his team to anyone without hesitation. One piece of advice that we would give to anyone is to streamline efficiencies - gather good & complete records of everything prior to your meeting with Steve (his team would generally provide a list of what docs are needed), and to also not wait until the very last minute to file your taxes. Steve, Ryan, Hunter & the rest of his team work wonders everyday to make things happen for their clients, but there is ONLY so much time in a day!

AVOID USING THIS CPA. Your taxes will not be done on time, they will not be done correctly, your…read moreemails and phone calls will not be returned, and you will be charged additional amounts outside of the CPA's original invoice. My wife and I are by no means tax experts, which is why we went to Steve Alpinieri to make sure that our taxes were filed correctly, as my wife had just begun her small business. Despite giving Alpinieri all of our documentation months before the tax deadline, he and his team did not complete them until the Friday three days before they were due. Thankfully we looked over our taxes instead of blindly trusting our CPA, as we immediately found that the taxes were done incorrectly with us owing thousands of dollars for a state where we actually owed $0. I sent multiple emails to Alpinieri in an attempt to clarify our tax return, all of which he eventually claimed were going to his spam folder. I guess all of my phone calls and voicemails must have also been going to his spam folder too. When my wife and I finally did get a chance to sit down with him, he spent 40 of our 60 minutes talking about his personal life and his legal battles with his sibling. After our "meeting" we received another tax return filing from him which was once again done incorrectly. Sadly, this year we used his services again under the assumption that all of our information was already saved into his filing system. This year, we have received multiple fines and penalties from the IRS for our tax return being improperly filed. Despite these fines, Alpinieri has also been attempting to charge us more money than his own invoice states he can. Apparently, my wife and I are not the only ones having issues with Alpinieri has he has just been fined for repeated negligence and failure to comply with professional standards. I wish we knew any of this before we ever began working with Alpinieri. https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/consumers/actions.shtml?license_id=CPA%2078613 https://www.cba.ca.gov/cba/discipline/actions/ac-2024-2.pdf
