Dear Dr Sheets I cannot thank you enough for the quick efficient and kind medical care you provided my very sick bf this week. It had been the longest 11 days of stress worry and pain and I couldn't believe that you actually answered the phone on my first try of calling and that 3 hrs later you would be able to see my bf diagnose and treat as well as prescribe rx. There's no way physically my bf could have made it into the hospital and no one wants to be billed for an ambulance ride not to mention just the mere stress of leaving your home when you're ill. You were so compassionate and respectful as well which is a rarity in the medical system and yet so very crucial. Thank you for offering a house call service that goes beyond making a difference in patients lives. I will absolutely recommend Dr Sheets to anyone and everyone - this country's medical system needs more of HER!!!! A true healer. read more

It is with great sorrow that I share that Dr. Sheets passed away in 2025. She was a spectacular doctor who truly cared about her patients. A kind, smart, and interesting person, she was keenly attuned to the way the traditional medical system routinely fails patients based on gender identity, mental health, processing differences, weight discrimination, and more. She tried to make a difference in people's lives, and she literally saved mine. She is missed. read more

Very kind and sweet. Very good and knowledgeable Thorough with her skill set and educated in her field read more

Dr. Sheets is THE BEST EVER, let me say that again in all caps THE BEST EVER!!! I have been in Healthcare 13 years and its a broken system that cares more about $$$ than about patient's or their health. Dr. Sheets is like healthcare was 30 years ago. Dr. Sheets was available at 11:30pm at night, spoke with me for 20+ min, didn't collect payment up front before having a conversation, was able to take care of my problem by phone, and did it all with a warm / friendly / and very pleasant bedside manner! There is a saying... people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. Dr. Sheets TRULY embodies this statement. I hope that you read this because your an AMAZING human being, who TRULY CARES, you're a RARE breed amongst a very broken system, and I truly wish that more physicians were just like you... Thanks again!!! read more

We called MD at bedside when I had an eye stye problem and could not get an appt at one medical (despite their claims of convenience, one medical doesn't really have appts when you need them). The doctor identified my issue over the phone and had a simple and pragmatic treatment. It's so nice to have this kind of straightforward, not red tape sucking kind of experience, kind of felt like living in the old days when a smart and kind family practitioner can help in a few minutes. read more

Very professional and attentive. Thank you so much for making yourself available right away & making me feel at ease.

Dr. Sheets is just the best. She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, communicative and has made medicine very accessible. I have had two experiences with her and both have been phenomenal. She is so experienced that with conversation over the phone she is able to identify the problem and will follow up with video/in person visit based on what you need. I went to her after two urgent care visits, many days of missed work and finally felt heard. Please give traditional urgent care a miss and see her. She really is amazing. read more

Wow! I don't even know where to start but this is long overdue. I came across Dr. Sheets by accident when looking for urgent care options for my son in Berkeley. I live in Southern CA so it was a little nerve-wracking not being local. Dr. Sheets responded in a timely manner and managed to do a video visit with my son at 9pm. She then physically went to his apartment and provided him with medical care later that night. She made sure he was in a better condition than when she found him and put my worries at ease. My son even called to say he was substantially better after she provided him with IV hydration in his apartment. Medications and follow up care were included. All around, a wonderful service when traditional medical care options aren't available. I especially like that she's available late at night when college students may need care due to their late night schedules, study hours, etc. Just recently, my son reached out to Dr. Sheets again. She was responsive and helped him navigate missing an exam due to migraine. Thank you Dr. Sheets. I truly appreciate knowing you are available to care for my son when he's ill or needs medical attention/advice. read more

There are no words. Honestly, I have so much to say and don't even know where to start: 1. Our health care system is f*&#ed up to a degree that is almost comical. 2. Everyone I know who has "health care insurance" has a very high deductible // very onerous restrictions // very limited benefits 3. There are times when you JUST NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR. The idea of having a mobile doctor is pure genius and fills a much, much, much needed void left by the horrible, horrible clusterf*@#ck that we call a "health care system." If I lived in or near Oakland, I would call Dr. Sheets on a regular basis. Her prices are so reasonable you almost can't believe it. And she's amazing. Look at the other reviews. "incredibly helpful" and "angel from heaven". I'm here to tell you that the concept of a reasonably priced, mobile doctor who comes to meet you at your home, workplace, hotel, etc. is brilliant. Trust me, this is the beginning of a revolution. I had a health problem arise as I was heading to Oakland for a 1-week stay on business. Found Dr. Sheets on Yelp, stellar reviews, called her. She was perfectly on time, met me at my hotel room, absolutely professional, excellent medical care, and very nice personality. And I can't believe how reasonable the price is. Do you know how much of a pain it is to go to urgent care? Long wait, very expensive? Sucks. Use this company instead. I wish it existed in every single city in this country. Mark my words, an idea whose time has come. read more

Dr. Sheets is pretty much amazing. I woke up on my last day of vacation in SF feeling AWFUL (can't-get-out-of-bed-awful). It was before 6am, and I knew even my friends nearby wouldn't be awake yet, so I did a quick search for urgent care in the area. I called two other (closer) house call doctors, and neither responded to my calls, despite being "open". Finally, I called Dr. Sheets and she responded and came over to my hotel right away! Dr. Sheets is extremely professional, efficient, and responsive. She was able to diagnose me quickly and write up a prescription for me. Not only that, but she gave me some medicine to start off with before I went to the pharmacy. She followed up with me the next day to see how I was doing, and responded (quickly) to all of my follow-up questions I texted her. What other doctor does that? Finally, Dr. Sheets' prices are extremely reasonable for a house call. The other doctors I tried to call would have charged me double for "weekend rates", which she did not. Amazing! An all around positive experience. If you find yourself in need of a house call in the SF Bay Area, I highly recommend Dr. Sheets. read more

Dr. Sheets was incredibly helpful when my husband was seeking treatment for an eye infection. I submitted a request online around 8:30pm and she called me within 15 minutes. We arranged a time for her to visit our home - at midnight, since she was already headed to a 10pm appointment elsewhere. She explained some possible options for treatment over the phone and was very personable and flexible. She arrived on time and was both friendly and professional. She gave him some relief for his eye and also provided medication, saving us a trip to the pharmacy. The rate was very reasonable and some insurance providers will partially reimburse the fee. (The rates are also disclosed on her website.) My husband (who generally will do anything to avoid going to the hospital) really valued being able to get treatment in our living room. This is a great service and one we would definitely recommend! read more

Dr. Sheets is an angel from heaven. My wife had a kidney stone in the middle of the night. We called MD at Bedside. Dr. Sheets got back to us within 20 minutes, even though she was on her way back from a trip and only available by text at first. She helped us manage the medications right away, then called as soon as she was back in good cell coverage. After driving most of the night, she came to us first thing in the morning. She did a thorough examination and wrote the prescriptions my wife needed. She's friendly, professional, helpful, and very clear in her communication. If Dr. Sheets hadn't been available, here's what the scenario would have been--because it was after hours on a Saturday night, no urgent care facilities were open. We would have gone to Alta Bates ER. Because a kidney stone is not a high-level emergency, we would have sat in the waiting room for hours while they treated people with trauma, heart attacks, lacerations, and so on. After hours, they would have given us cursory attention and the same medications. Dr. Sheets is filling a much-needed niche--the house call for urgent, but non-emergency, medical conditions. Her prices are extremely reasonable and her follow-up is exemplary. If I could give eight stars out of five, I would! read more

Doctor Sheets is a godsend. That's all there is to it. Available at any hour without appointment, and for half the cost of the brick-and-mortar urgent care clinic I used to rely on. No waiting for an appointment, no driving, no waiting room. She's very professional, but at the same time reassuringly friendly. Both times I've had to use her service she's arrived exactly on time. (Imagine, a doctor starting an appointment on time! Incredible.) read more

My wife developed a bad case of hives and needed treatment. I called Dr. Sheets and left a voice mail which was returned within 15 minutes. She had a couple of other appointments but arrived at the time she had given us. She was very professional, efficient and pleasant. As a fellow physician I was able to discuss the situation with her and she was very pragmatic and knowledgeable. I would strongly recommend. read more

Dr. Sheets serves a valuable and much needed service -- true 24/7 Urgent Care. Last night (New Year's Eve), I fell asleep with my contacts on watching Ryan Seacrest. When I awoke, I was able to remove 1 lens, yet I couldn't find the other one. I tried for 1 hour and then was too sleepy so I napped for another hour or so. Woke up and tried again to find my lens in right eye, and nothing. My eye hurt, but I didn't know if it was my lens causing that or all the fiddling with my eye. I didn't want to go to the Emergency Room, as that would be costly and I didn't believe my problem warranted going there. I kept searching for an Urgent Care facility and because it was New Year's Day, none were open. Then I found MD At Bedside on Yelp and called Dr. Sheets. Thankfully she returned my call asap and came within a short time. She was extremely thorough, took her time, and very reasonable cost for a home visit. I highly recommend her to anyone needing care, especially when nothing is open. Thank you, Dr. Sheets -- I appreciate your service! read more

Dr. Sheets just came to my rescue! I got off a 6-hour flight in a strange city feeling miserable in the middle of the night, and she came to my hotel and diagnosed me in 20-30 minutes and even gave me the prescription antibiotics I needed. I honestly couldn't believe that you can get medical care this professional and not have to make an appointment or anything, and it cost much less than I expected. Thanks so, so much, Dr. Sheets! You fixed my life! I wish there were more professionals like you in the world. read more

If you're reading this, Dr. Sheets, then I'd like to thank you for being a quick and affordable lifeline. I got Yelp just to give MD at Bedside 5 stars. It's a wonderful service Dr. Sheets provides and one I will go back to in the future as the need demands. Look no farther. read more

Dr sheets is great! Twice I've had sinus infections and she's been able to come to the house on the weekend, which has been a lifesaver (I am a busy working mom of 2 little ones). She's fast, thorough, caring, and follows up the next day which I really appreciate! read more

Dr Sheets showed up in 15 minutes at 4am. I would have had to drive myself to the ER and wait to be seen. Instead I had a caring and knowledgable doctor come to me. Well worth the money! read more

MD at Bedside saved me from spending Thanksgiving in the ER. Dr Sheets responded immediately to my request for a home visit, and was able to diagnose my condition during an efficient appointment. She called in the necessary prescription and had me on the mend within a couple of hours. Dr Sheets was a considerate and attentive health care provider, I highly recommend her and the services that she provides to the community. read more

MD At Bedside provided very helpful, prompt medical attention when I was visiting Oakland from out of town, became sick (non-communicable), and did not have time to go to an ER or urgent care clinic due to a tight meeting schedule. I was able to make an appointment and be seen at my downtown meeting office within an hour, and get the prescription I needed - all for $120. No waiting, better one-on-one attention than in most Dr offices, great bedside manner, and what I feel was excellent care and advice. Sure, I'll have to submit for reimbursement from my insurance company, but even if they don't pay, it's still cheaper than the co-pay on an ER visit, and WELL WORTH it to not have to wait for hours and hours and be exposed to other sick people's germs! Highly recommended. read more

I finally heard back from Dr. Sheets--she contacted me via Yelp four days later. Dr. Sheets has explained that she was very ill and in the ER when I reached out to her and she wasn't able to update her voicemail and website to reflect her unavailability. That's certainly understandable. I appreciate that Dr. Sheets reached out to me. I'm disappointed that it was four days later, but that may have been the soonest she was able to, and I'm especially disappointed that it was through Yelp and not through the phone number or email I left. It leaves me wondering if I would have ever gotten a response but for leaving a poor review. read more
