I would give them a 5 star but the install was botched leaving me to clean up the installers mess and mistakes. He just drilled a hole in the side wall of my house siding and fed the cable into the living room. I had to call back and have them reroute to the basement then I routed it up through the floor. . I also had to patch my siding and my dry wall. " was not happy with install at all to say the least. Now the internet seems very solid and their website works well for payment. So this is where they do their best in providing the services we pay for. On Wed 9/24/2025 at 6:55 pm, I had called in because my Internet was interrupted... It boiled down to I made a minor number mistake in putting my bank acct information online. Didn't realize I made a minor mistake with my routing number. When I called in...the customer service rep was nice but I have been with them for about 15 years now. Never missed a beat. The shitty supervisor wouldn't even wave the reconnection fee all because of a typo. I could see blatently not paying your bill but for an honest mistake!!! Bravo to their supervisor. I'm going to another service now. I felt totally insignificant as a customer of 15 years. There staff was kind but the supervisor is an idiot. Over a typo!!! Well guess what?? Now I'm taking my business else where. They just lost my $720 a year! You're supposed to treat your customers as valued assets. That's what keeps your company alive. Home excellance fiber 500 was our experience. While we loved that tier we had to downgrade. My husband and i became empty nesters and just didn't need the speed. Leanne was very professional and got us the best deal. Took us to the 200 tier. At 72.00 I felt was a bit steep since we are on a fixed income. 62.00 would be better. I had 1250mbs in Denver (Lightning Fast) internet and i come back here to 200mbs?? WTF is going on here people? This has to be resolved! My daughter has Massillon Cable only because there is a lock in her area to keep ATT out. She works from home and when she called customer service the girl was friendly but she asked to speak to the supervisor to explain her situation with work. First of all, I wanna point out that I have spectrum at another home I rent and MCTV at the home I own. I pay $75 for Spectrum and have never had a good connection or helpful service. I've had MCTV for 3 days and I've never had a better connection on all of my devices at once than with MCTV! I have 3 TV's, 2 tablets and 6 cell phones connected and it hasn't lagged at all. This company has a monopoly and takes advantage in charging twice the rate for wifi and is a very unreliable service. I've been in wifi since the 70's and back then it was a learning curve if on and off service. MCTV takes me back to nightly frustration of bad service. Once again the internet is down and I have to wait 20 minutes on the phone for an answering service operator to confirm that at that they are working on it, when a simple message when I called in would have saved all that time. They are overpriced and zero customer service, when I called to cancel my cable service they didn't even try to retain me. Stay away from this one. The network admin blocks ports seemingly on a whim. A blocked port means that any web service that uses that port cannot function. So if your port is blocked to a game, web service, chatroom, or download site, you simply cannot access it. MCTV will do nothing to help you. I had connection issues with a game. I contacted MCTV and found they were blocking a port I needed to play that game. I asked if they would unblock the specific IP address so I could play. I was told that port is widely known for viruses and they would not unblock the IP addresses for me. I had googled the port. There were no mention of viruses on that port anywhere. I don't know where they get their information from. I am now moving to another ISP that allows the user to use the internet without all the China-like restrictions. I hope this review can help others before they make a mistake and go with MCTV. read more

I experienced very poor customer service, today. Highly aggravated and disappointed. I have been a customer for years (only because MCTV is the provider in my rural area) and have no past record of delinquency with the company. I came home from a trip today to discover my internet and cable were disconnected. This was a surprise I received when trying to connect to the internet, as I had not received any notice of a delinquency and, as far as I knew, was current on my payment. When I logged in to my account to try and figure out the problem, I saw that my April payment had not posted. I thought maybe I had accidentally not clicked the submit when I attempted to pay online...so I payed my past due and current bill online and called customer service to see about getting reconnected and find out what happened. Long story short, they did not send me a notice of any kind that I was past due because they "usually call about that," not email or post. They did not have an accurate phone number on record (not sure how) and also told me they did not have an email on file (even though I have paperless billing that goes to my email). They showed a record of me attempting to make my payment online in April, but it apparently got kicked back by my bank because there was a typo in the account numbers. I did not receive a notice of this. Okay, I am getting the idea that this was a series of communication issues on both ends. What put me over the top in frustration was the attitude of the representative, who just kept explaining things away from the company's end, spoke to me like I was a difficult deadbeat, and told me that although I was now paid up to date (almost 400 bucks for two months of service) I needed to give them a fifteen dollar reconnection fee to get my cable and internet back on. Really?????? I explained that that was ridiculous given the circumstances; Informed her I would be looking for a new provider. I was then put on hold...after a while the representative came back on and said that after "doing some digging" in my account they decided to waive the reconnection fee "this time," in a slightly scolding tone, adding that this can only be done once and that I won't be able to take advantage of that in the future. I am a customer on a competing provider. Looking to bring the business back to a home town company has been lackluster at best. Looking for an incentive to switch over, they could care less if I went with them or not. It's not like I was purchasing their lower tier internet...i wanted the best they could offer for residential. EVERY call over a period of months has been met with the same Laissez-faire attitude.
