Hands down the best at what he does! Aloha Spirit is mean with this guy!! We were recommended to use his mounting services after a few co workers said that he was the best in the business and he truly is!! We DM'd him on Instagram setup an appointment and that was literally it!! He arrived on our schedule appointment time prompt and with his own set of tools and got right to work. We cleared the area prior to him coming, (he doesn't ask you to do this) but just prep the area before hand, cus when I did it I didn't realize how time consuming reorganizing all the existing cords surge protectors etc it'll just make everything go much smoother I highly recommend you buy the TV mount from Costco! He uses it so much he doesn't need the instructions and he recommended it because of its quality. I highly recommend you get a flat surge protector also!! He was extremely knowledgeable, quick, efficient. We discussed placement of the TV and he literally took care of the rest. We also had him install and mount a sound bar for us as well. Truly amazing service. This guy truly carries the aloha spirit!! I would highly recommend you call him for any of your mounting needs. We even discuses price and process for installing security cameras. He does it all!! I really also like the fact that he's knowledgeable in different products tv mounts sound bars and cameras so he could recommend the best products to us instead of wasting money on the wrong products at Costco or Best Buy We'll definitely be using his services again!! thank you for the awesome Christmas gift! read more

Would recommend Emmett 10x over and over again. Reached out to get a quote from several places. Emmets quote came in higher than others but his reviews led me to believe he was worth the cost and after the job I have no regrets. Emmett was very communicative and courteous through the entire process. I let him know what I had wanted and he offered different alternatives. His work was quick and efficient and again very friendly. He kept his work very clean and we chatted story a bit. Besides mounting my tv and soundbar and cleaning up the wires I also had purchased a remote for my ceiling fan which I had told him after the initial quote. Emmett said no worry about it and installed the remote free of charge. I intend to call him again when I'm ready to mount a TV in my bedroom. Highly recommend him and his services. read more

Handy man review McShane Mounting Service came out to mount a 75 inch television, and ended up mounting my Xbox and controllers as well. He could have easily done my sound bar too had I actually checked the connector. Very few times in life do you meet individuals who have passion for the work they do. Mr. McShane was extremely professional and punctual. I originally called to get a schedule appointment, happily I was able to get a same day appointment. His prices were absolutely competitive and with the level of service he provides are incomparable to other handymen. He came in and put up our TV with ease and was even able to provide more information about mounting. He hid my wires and added a new outlet instead of deleting one. During the work I asked him to mount our Xbox and controllers (for an extra fee). He was able to put them behind the tv for an amazing final look. He was deliberately clean and neat, the work was extremely organized and went smoothly. He is absolutely brilliant with mounting things and I will definitely be calling him back soon for more, specifically in the garage. Thank you for your professionalism and getting this sorted so quickly. read more

Emmett is awesome! Super reliable, talented, organized, prompt, and friendly. It's not often you find all of those traits in someone that you hire and work with. We hired him for a couple of projects and both went well. It was a pleasure meeting, talking and working with him. He's an expert in his field so be sure to ask questions and get recommendations from him. We brainstormed on a few things and I generally deferred to his expertise. He did really well installing, training, and setting up the security cam system. We look forward to working with him again on possibly adding more cameras and for mounting solutions. read more

Long story short, hire him!! McShane is not only amazing (and quick) at what he does, but he's so kind and polite. Long story version, we've moved quite a bit as we grew out of our two bedroom duplex to our three bedroom townhome and now to our forever home. McShane is the only one we've trusted to mount anything we needed knowing it's not only installed properly but safely for our little keiki running around. At first point of contact, he's very easy to get in touch with and responds quickly. I would suggest following him on Instagram (@mcshanemounting) to see when his openings are and to see if he's running any specials. He's responded quickly to both texts and messages so I'm sure the response time is the same. When he's in your home, he is so polite and makes sure you know what's going on. We have three littles and he was very understanding of the noise and didn't seem bothered one bit! Also, he suggested we do a wire-free setup (we have 3 under 2 so child proofing is a must) and we're so glad he offered that option. As far as service, he really is amazing at what he does. His prices are well worth it and please remember, the price reflects not only the quality of work, but the timely manner in which he does it! And he doesn't only mount TVs, he does so many other things. He primarily did our TVs and sound-bars throughout our homes. We can't recommend McShane enough for his kind spirit and his quality of work. You won't regret booking with him! Support local! read more

Now I know why McShane Mounting has great reviews. All the great review is totally true. He has so much knowledge for his profession. My husband and I asked so much questions and he was so patient to answer all of them and gave us his opinions too which we was so thankful for. He was very polite and respectful with our home and to us. I bought the wrong equipment and told him about a wall that was not correct and thankfully he was kind and understanding to let me run to buy the correct item so he had to wait, and with most of us time is money. Before he left I made sure to let him know I'll be reaching out to him in the 1 quarter of the new year for another project. Mahalo Emmitt for your aloha towards my ohana. We really love our set up. read more

Super late review but Emmett was very responsive and quick with my inquiry. Came on time and was super fast mounting my 65" tv that he did alone. 10/10 would recommend read more

First and foremost this is not a negative review, just constructive criticism and a learning experience as a customer. Emmett came to my home today to mount two TV's. Originally it was going to be three but after further discussion with my wife we decided to just have two TV's mounted. At first, (on April 29th) with three TV's and molding to hold the wires Emmet quoted me $450. He also let me know that it would be $50 a piece for each flat mount if I didn't have my own. So it would have brought my total to $600. Once my wife and I decided that we now only wanted two TV's mounted, I asked Emmet on May 20th how much it would be and he quoted me $500. Aside all of that Emmet came to my home and mounted both TV's and did a fantastic job on them! After the work was completed, I asked Emmet what do I owe him and he said $400 before taxes and fees. Which brought my total to $429 and some change. I paid Emmet that price and the job was finished from there. I thanked Emmet once again for coming out to do the job which he replied he appreciated me for choosing his company. Moments later he texted me that he charged me $100 less than what he quoted me and asked if he could send me a link or if I could Venmo him or Apple Pay him. I replied with how I thought the pricing was totaled up and thought that we were charged $400 as a blessing. He admitted to making a mistake and broke down how he prices his services. He informed me that he would just accept the mistake and "eat it". All in all, Emmet has a great mounting service and I have no complaints as to how the TV's were mounted. I would just note that in future, Emmet list the prices of his services somewhere so that way the customer and merchant are on the same page. read more

I contracted McShane Mounting for some electrical work. The job ended up being a little more involved than expected. Requested payment for supplies purchased, which I payed and said will make an appointment to make it right. Did not follow basic troubleshooting for the issue, and turns out to not be a certified electrician. The work he conducted is Illegal in Hawaii, and this should be avoided for all jobs outside of handyman jobs. Has no availability now because this is a side hustle. Refuse to refund the payment for labor, or provide a follow on date for work. read more
