The Hydronex water softener system lasted about 10 to 15 years. The installer is highly professional and meticulous in their work.

The MCS team is informative, professional and credible with a solid reputation. After shopping around for a while-house water softener system, I went with MCS for the install. Michelle, the rep, provided competitive pricing and didn't try to oversell or pressure me into other solutions, which I appreciated. Ultimately, I chose them because they have been around since the 90's, served my dad since, and have a good reputation in SGV. The installers were patient and knew what they were doing, and stayed for over 8 hours to get the job done (my install was particularly complicated, and cost extra but reasonable for the work entailed). I had water filter system installed by MCS Water before so immediately contacted them when I need a water softener system. Michelle, the sales representative, was knowledgeable and patiently explained and answered my questions and concerns. The technician who came to do measurements gave me valuable advice on how the pipes should be installed and explained the details. There are two technicians who came on the day of installation and they did a diligent job on drilling holes and connecting the pipes to make sure everything worked. This is totally worth the value. My neighbor saw their work and wanted to install one as well. read more

Had a system installed a while back but never got around to getting the filter changed. I called them up and they were able to send someone out the next day. At first it was a bit of a challenge since the guy spoke mostly chinese, but we were able to figure things out. He was able to change out the filters in about 30 minutes and showed me that my water was showing 20ppm after the change. recommended to change every 6 months, and costs $110. read more

When I went into the store, the lady mentioned that they will give me a promotion of $100 discount. After installation, I was presented with an invoice of $70 discount. When I asked why the difference, I was told that that's the price for everyone. I have to google for other information such as how much water does it waste when it generates one gallon of water. The information given to me was wrong. They should have accurate answers for basic questions instead of just trying to sell you something. The installation person was rude - I left him to do the work and after the work was done, I asked him some questions what should I do when a leak should occurred. I need to know how to immediately stop the leak. His reply was "it does not leak. just pull the plug". I asked him if I should turn off the water valve to the device and he ignored my question. Every question I asked was either ignored or a rude answer was given. I don't know why he was so mad as soon as he walked into the house. read more

My parents visited this store simply to buy a filter for their existing, functional system but were pressured into purchasing an entirely new RO unit. The installation was unprofessional; the technician took a shortcut by using the garbage disposal's power outlet, forcing us to hire an outside electrician to fix it. More importantly, the system does not work as expected. When we reached out for a resolution--even offering to pay the difference for a more suitable model--the company refused to provide options. Instead, they blamed my elderly parents for the purchase and demanded more money for "after-sales service." We are now stuck with an expensive, useless machine. Save yourself the headache and check their reviews before buying. read more

MCS Corporation is a water system company with no credibility and exploitive after-sales servicing. Their water softener and filtration system had issues for 6 months after installed and constant leaks would corrode my walls due to the salt. This would cause issues to the water in house and create squeaky pipes. Additionally, they charge an outrageous amount to just drive out for repairs. They would often switch out working parts too to edge extra charges. I do not recommend this company and their deceptive tactics. Love the tankless reverse osmosis and the water heating system that instantly heats the water. They're both space saves and are hidden underneath the cabinet. Now I can have clean filter hot water instantly without having to refill a separate broiler. In addition, there's constant filter water running up to 600 gallons a day so you can cook a big pot of soup without have to wait. They come in black as well which matches all my faucets and appliances. I will be getting my water softener next. Can't wait. read more

I suppose to have my water softener service and change my water filters at the same time today. MCS water quoted me $399 for water softener service and $180 for filters tax included. I did some research on water softener. Since my unit is still fairly new. I decided to skip the softener service for now. When the technician arrived. I told him my decision. He called back to his office and the filters price increased from $180 to $185. Now a day $5 really means nothing. I have the technician finished his job but that just left a bad taste in my mouth. The fact that after you purchased any MCS products. MCS owns you for as long as you have their products. You can't buy replacements filters anywhere. Don't buy from MCS water!!!!!!! read more

Looking for a Water Softener and water treatment system for our home. There are quite a few options here in the San Gabriel Area. MCS carries the Puronics Water Softener. They came out to my house for free and did a water test and water hardness test and gave me options. I called them yesterday and the system will be installed this weekend. They have a showroom in San Gabriel where you can see the different options and compare. Pricing was very competitive and they have some promotions that saved me a couple hundred dollars.
