We engaged Leasa to help us create a trust for my mother's estate. I had done some research and we…read morewere pretty sure we wanted to use a trust, but the type of trust and the details of how specific trusts worked were still a bit unclear. We brough the principals of the family in to go over our needs and better understand the pros and cons of each option (revocable/irrevocable, income only, medicaid, etc.). Leasa was extremely patient with our questions and walked us through examples of cases where one type of trust would work better for us than other types. She was extremely knowledgeable and it was clear that she has a lot of experience with Elder Law. She even knew the administrator at my mother's senior living center, having worked with her via several other clients. Once we made a decision, the trust documents were created and it was just a matter of signing. Leasa got everything completed on time, and even added a few "bonus items" for no extra cost (fixed a few faulty Power of Attorney documents and a Living Will). After meeting with Leasa, we learned that she also did Real Estate transactions, so we also had her represent us in the sale of my mother's home. Once again, we found her to be extremely knowledgeable in answering all of our questions, and very responsive during the back-and-forth that is common during the offer/counter-offer/inspection phase of a real estate transaction. Our family will continue using Leasa for Estate Planning needs going forward, and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for help with Elder Law or needs representation in a real estate transaction.

Leasa's POA work on our behalf has been well-regarded by other attorneys and institutions that we've had to deal with. That says a lot right there. It's clear why--her documents are thorough, meticulously prepared and comprehensive. I've recommended her to others who are very exacting, and they were impressed. She explains everything clearly, is direct and she listens carefully. She knows her law.

I feel they are possibly the worst firm I have ever dealt with. All of the members I dealt with seemed overwhelmed with possibly taking on too many clients... which made them (in my opinion) simply fall into a reactive state and not proactively attempt to help my case! It felt like they didn't want to create a strategy, had no concern, no movement forward... NOTHING! My primary lawyer actually called my (twice) on the morning of emergency hearings to strategize the hearing. Literally minutes before entering the court... they felt that was the best time to rush you through trying to have a solid understanding of your position. I FELT THEY NEVER PREPARED FOR ONE HEARING!!!! I paid them $40,000 dollars to settle only one aspect of a divorce. They spent a year depleting the retainer... simply reacting to the other lawyer's action. Not once did they set up a meeting to discuss the potential offer or what my goals were. They rarely responded to or addressed my emails or return my calls. Pathetic. They seem to be way more concerned with accumulating hours... possibly in an attempt to make partner? The hours they accumulated didn't seem to help move my case closer to settlement. I feel they are not a divorce firm to use... and I'm sure you could throw a rock into a bunch of lawyers and find someone more concerned and able to help your case. $40,000 later... they dropped me because I was 4 days late on paying a $2,000 invoice. That's right... 4 days! Keep in mind that visitation was already resolved before approaching this firm. They only needed to provide my soon to be Ex with an offer for alimony and child support. After a year of depleting the retainer... they never once put together even one offer to my Ex. Not one! Less than one year of them doing NOTHING and incurring $40,000... for just my side of this divorce. I feel they have ZERO compassion for their clients and have no sympathy for what married couples are going through in the difficult process of Divorce. Not sure why... but, it felt like THEY WOULDN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS OR CALL ME BACK... EVER I'd say to Skip this firm... at all costs! I feel they are simply one of the worst on the planet... Find anyone else! I believe you could represent yourself and get further along then simply giving them hours as they all work towards partnership. I think they are a pathetic bunch of losers... and they do not deserve to represent anyone! Too bad the court system couldn't find a way to weed out the pathetic lawyers (and firms) and put them out of business. I feel these guys give the 1% of good lawyers a bad name... PS - I'm assuming that any of the positive reviews for this firm are made up or provided by a family member of the firm's employees. PPS - Today I appeared in court to hear their motion to be removed from the case... and my lawyer actually pulled me into the hallway, referenced this review, and threatened to take me to court for defamation of character if I didn't remove. LOL! Your bullying tactics won't work on me!

There has been a number of times that I had called after hours and on the weekends and my attorney was always there to answer my questions. Never think that you can logically do your legal work online without an attorney. Luckily they fixed the mess at no additional fee. I highly recommend this firm for your legal matters. I have used a few other services online, or even other attorneys and I always end up back with Anderson and associates.

That would have been shocking but the $8k bill (on top of the first $10k+) to do nothing was an earlier sign. As a stage 4 cancer patient, I admit I do expect to see a bit more humanity. Naive.

We were firing a gazillion questions via email and calls daily! Ian took the time to truly listen to our concerns, explain the options clearly, explain the law and build a strategy that was tailored to mom's situation. Throughout the entire process, Ian was consistently responsive, transparent, and patient with any and all questions. What impressed me most was his balance of strength and empathy. In the courtroom, Ian was sharp, prepared, and unwavering -- a true advocate who fought for moms' best interests. Outside the courtroom, he showed genuine care for all of us as a people, not just clients. Expressing empathy and true kindness when we needed it the most. That combination of legal skill and human compassion is rare . I highly recommend Ian to anyone facing a divorce or family law matter. He is not only an outstanding attorney but also a trusted ally. Ian was an incredible source and shoulder for my mom and for my sister and I, always armed with information and strategies. His readiness, clarity, and steady communication gave us all peace of mind in an extremely stressful and tumultuous situation. When Ian was unavailable his assistant Jan, made sure to get all messages and information to Ian immediately! We couldn't have asked for a better attorney to help our mom through such a difficult time. After 3 attorneys in this ordeal, I only wish we had found him first!!! Thank you Ian!!!
