I was in Belton, TX for a gun show April 01-02, 2017 when the starter on my van quit. I had to stay in the motel Sunday night and prepared to call several recomended repair centers on Monday morning. Several were booked and could not see me. After finding a few who could work me in and got estimates, I called Wes who was recomended by a 121 Towing driver named Wayne. Wayne was recently separated from the Army and had tried to start my van Saturday evening. This turned out to be one of the best recomendations I have received. Wes gave me an estimate that was about $100 cheaper than the next. I told him I would be there as quick as the towing service could get me there. When I arrived Wes's shop was full. He personally got right on it and did the work himself. He replaced the starter very quickly. I was scheduled the next day in my hometown to have the water pump replaced. Not wanting to gamble a 150 mile drive home with a noisy water pump I asked him how much and could he do it. When Wes gave me a price that was equal to my cost at home I said do it! Wes's total price for both the starter and water pump were equal to what others in the Belton area had quoted me for just the starter. Not only did Wes perform quality work at a more than a fair price, he did it very quickly. I was ready to get on the road home by noon! Wes was a rare find for this stranded traveler! The people of Temple and Belton are fortunate to have a shop like his in their backyard! I encourage anyone reading this to schedule your repair with Wes and find out for yourself what a fair, honest mechanic can be like!

The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! They told him the AC compressor part is going to be over $2k, IF, that's what it ends up being. To add insult to injury if he doesn't end up getting the work done there they want $75 if he leaves his car there. These ppl are a joke. He has no other vehicle, he's an hour and a half away from family!! No compassion. Rip off central, stay away.

What happens when it's something a little more serious? Well, Darrel and Steven (his son) take care of the issue in a timely manner. Yes, they seem to always have an abundance of cars lined up to service, but that is an indication that they know their autos, and people trust in his auto mechanics expertise.
